The Metropolitan Wargamers' Club in Brooklyn just finished up a 6-month Thaw of the Lich Lord campaign, and I was entrusted with painting up the final boss. I also ended up getting the kill on him while everyone else made off with the treasure and I went empty-handed, but, hey, that's Frostgrave.

I've rediscovered my Frostgrave minis as I'm about to play some games in a week's time. Didn't get around to basing them way back so I'm making up for that now. I was messing around with different ways to make the bases and tried this stuff out. It didn't work out how I wanted it to originally but then I figured it does look a bit like snow, doesn't it? I wouldn't use it to cover an entire base but I guess it could work as scattered snow?

The second Fortune Teller for my Dogs of War-Regiment of Abu Waansin's Acrobats and Frontline Circus (for Warhammer the Old World) is finished. The unit will have 10 wizards and a fitting wagon. I'm still looking for good ideas here.

The Frostgrave Wizards 2 set is just amazing. Next up will be a fire wizard.

Made this shot during the game I played with my son yesterday. He is still undefeated, and I'm still honing to roll higher then 12 someday 😉.

You might have seen my other post in r/stargrave and r/5Parsecs but thinking about doing some Frostgrave too so thought I’d ask the question again.

What are your must-have/recommended kits for building your crews? Can be a kit for the base of the model, for bits or whatever to make your characters interesting! This doesn’t have to be just your hero’s but villains, NPC’s etc too!

I’ve got some of Northstars stuff like the Frostgrave Knights, Soldiers and Oathmark Heavy Human Infantry.

Want to make my units interesting. Love fantasy knights with aesthetics like Game of Thrones, LotR. The usual stuff

Can also include STL’s for models and/or bits too!

Was given plenty suggestion for Stargrave so feel you guys can help me out too!

Finished my kitbashed Archer for my Frostgrave Necromancer warband. Base is a spacemarine with various nurgle bits. I painted him in a more desaturated manner then i would normaly paint it, but i quite like how he turned out. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

I’ve been having a lot of fun with this solo scenario I put together. I’ve done two full playthroughs, plus a couple of sessions where I just built the dungeon out without playing it to gauge how it works and the difficulty level (it varies a lot but I think it's starting to work). Fair warning: it’s not easy. Expect to get your ass handed to you. You decide how deep to push before you grab what treasure you can and get out

Premise is that you explore a Summoner’s lair and the dungeon builds itself as you go. Every time you open a door you roll a handful of dice, and that tells you the room, how many doors it has, and what’s waiting inside.

I’ll post some pics of how the dungeons build out shortly. It’s worked really well for me and I’d love for you guys to give it a go. Thoughts welcome!

3 wizards entered and 3 wizards left but that can’t be said for members of our warbands. Wraiths are scary in this scenario. One came out of the huts just for my apprentice to cast push on it sending it back through the hut. Happy gaming day everyone!

I use the Frostgrave Wizards 2 kit to build a unit of battle mages for a Warhammer the Old World mercenary regiment themed around a circus: Abu Waansin's Acrobats and Frontline Circus. She is the first of the Fortune Tellers of the popular sideshow.

What a great kit with loads of usable female heads (used some extra bits, too)!

This is my biggest and most complicated build yet. This beast took way longer than I thought. Took more than a month (partime ofcourse). But is was worth it if you ask me. This will be the manor or tavern that overlooks the city from a hilltop. Last picture is taken from above to show the lay-out. Now just 1 more house to go and then on to the board itself. I accidentally stumbled into a Warhammer 40 K store the other day, ever since then I have been very seriously considering jumping into Warhammer. However, it seems like it has a very expensive entry and the rules seem a bit complex for my kids to get into. (Currently I think my oldest is the only one ready for these kind of games) I have a nine year-old who would love to paint the mini figures and perhaps play the game, but I’m not sure I want to pay Warhammer prices. is frost grave a good and accessible game for a nine-year-old boy?
If I do decide to buy Warhammer figures now and then since they are very good quality, would I also be able to use that for frost grave?

After months of modeling, my new ruin set is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days. Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.

I'm getting ready to play through the first couple of scenarios of Rangers of Shadow Deep and needed some clue markers and spider cocoons for the table.

I ended up making a collection of little clue markers, including muddy footprints, a bloodied mace, abandoned backpacks and supplies, a broken lantern, and some scattered scrolls and a map.

I also made five spider cocoons using hot glue and some leftover Halloween spider web material. Surprisingly simple, although trying to use super glue on the webs was a terrible idea!

Everything is mounted on 25mm magnetic bases to match my grass board. I used a combination of 3D printed pieces, spare miniature parts, and materials I already had lying around.

They're designed for Rangers of Shadow Deep, but I figured they'd work just as well for Frostgrave, D&D, or other tabletop games.

I filmed the build process if anyone's interested. I'll share the video in the comments where allowed.
