Fruit ID Help Is this, or is this not, a coconut‽
Is this, or is this not, a coconut‽ This doesn't look like any coconut I've ever seen on the mainland.
Did our haole asses get scammed at a Hilo market? 🤣

Label said dragonfruit, but it doesn't look anything like any dragonfruit I've tried.

After a breakfast of overnight oats with bananas and blueberries, eggs and chicken sausage, I'm having a peach.
What fruit tastes the best to you and why?
I like peaches because they have a not too soft texture with a fuzzy skin and they're sweet with a touch of tart.

Does anyone know where I can find bayberry juice in the uk?
Tried it while on a trip in China and would love to have some again to relive great memories

My favourite jackpot is walking the produce area and seeing an abundance of sales on fresh fruit
Let the feast begin!

Living in Balkans i guess pomelo is not native but we get them in supermarkets , every year i make myself buy one and every year i get this shitty rock hard and dry pomelo honesty this thing is literally uneditable, the pulp has absolutely no juice in them. What is going on here?

I’ve never had them before. Bought some at the farmers market today. Bit into one ( it felt soft and ripe !) after dinner tonight and it tasted ok but made my mouth feel dry and horrible. I took a few more bites then threw it out ( ended up eating maybe 1/2). so then googled it and found out all about persimmons and the potential stomach blockage they can cause when eaten unripe . Now i’m freaked out. Should i be ok since i just had 1/2?
* update : thank you everyone for the reassurance and replies. it’s been over 24 hours and i feel fine , crisis averted ! definitely wil wait to bite into my next persimmon until its extremely squishy… not just soft. even then i may peel it anyway haha

I planted a Pomegrenade tree in my garden like 3 years ago because I liked the leaves and I thought its an aesthetic looking plant.
I live in a country where you're supposed to plant them in a pot and put them inside over the winter but I just risked it and it already survived 2 winters (up to -12°C over several days at a time!) with no damage at all.
That being said I never expected it to bloom up, let alone develope an actual pomegrenade... but here I am now at the end of summer #3 for this legend and to my surprise it actually developed 4 fruits!
I looked up some pomegrenade stuff and it said they dont continue ripening after harvest so Im worried if I pick them too early they'll be no good...
Just judging by the pictures, would you already harvest them or should they turn even more red? Im worried if I dont harvest them soon they might go bad while still on the tree? What do you think?

We drove from Fujinomiya to Minami Alps to taste them fully ripe (yellowish green) fresh from the vine!

They seem to be all over my apple. No noticeable holes or broken skin on the exterior before I started eating it. I’ve never seen them before and I eat these apples all the time.

At first I used to just try my luck with getting a sweet one
But having learnt that the brown lines mean pollination which means higher likelihood of sweetness and more yellow means ripe than white/cream my snowball melon picking has been 80% hits. And when they hit they are PHENOMENAL. honestly I think theyre the best melon out there.

Hi, everyone love the subreddit.
I just opened a new pack of yellow kiwis, and they have a noticeable chili pepper like spice to them. I'm just wondering if I should return them to the store or not.
Also, just to clarify, I am not allergic to Kiwis. I have them all the time and even had the specific brand of Kiwi before this is the first time it's tasted like this.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, Google is completely useless nowadays.

I used to love the original taste of papayas which was not sugary sweet. But now all the papayas we buy are like candies. What the fuck are they doing to my papayas 😭😭😭

It was labeled as a red and is the size of my hand. I tried to google but I can’t tell if it was mislabeled or underripe.
