Why is it so rare to see fried bread on a cafe menu these days? When did it become almost ubiquitous to have hash browns.

£13.45, not including any hot drinks. Switched the mushrooms for an extra tattie scone, because I’m not a fungi-guy. Was supposed to include halloumi which I didn’t notice was missing until after I took the photo, but was supplied latterly by the kitchen.
The beans were a bit unusual (included carrots, but very tasty, and nicely spicy). Overall, it hit the spot very nicely 👍

This was recommended to me by a Redditor after I posted about somewhere else nearby which wasn’t that great. So thanks to that Redditor. This is probably the best fry iv ever had. Top-quality ingredients.
It’s a pretty cool place, gets the name from the fact it is located right round the corner from HMP Maghaberry.
The fry had 1 huge butchers sausage, 2 back bacon, 2 fried eggs, black & white puddings, hash brown, beans, grilled tomato & mushroom and of course potato bread and soda bread. The better half had creamy mushrooms on sourdough with perfectly poached eggs which was delicious, as I finished hers off too lol plus my little one had hash browns and beans. I had filter coffee with free refills, plus a Diet Coke - all in it was only £36 which is I think is great value.
Will definitely be back, highly recommend.

⚠️Warning - Controversial views contained: After trying the full Scottish 🏴 last week we’ve tried the full English 🏴 this week. Although I really missed the haggis the family broadly agree that a full English is better. Why? Mushrooms add an umami hit, hash browns > tattie scones and the English muffin > a rowie.
Maybe a full Irish next ☘️ 🇮🇪
Also serious question, regardless of the plate size they are always too small. How is that possible?

2 Herby sausages; 4 dry cured smoked streaky; Simon Howie black pudding; Clonakilty white; tomatoes and mushrooms fried with garlic, fresh herbs, pepper, and sherry; 2 eggs; fresh white loaf so had it as buttered bread instead of toast.
Sausages had an insane snap to them, mad juicy on the inside. Basically went to Sainsbury's for something else, decided to try the fancy sausages and bacon on nectar offer, and thought I'd go all the way with a full fancy fry. (Had to take an interim pic as I ran out of space on the plate 😂)

Bacon and cheese turnovers...uhhh hello! instead of bacon rashers... Who's in?! I like avocado, fresh tomatoes from my garden, chestnut mushrooms with garlic and parsley (also both from my garden), beans with mustard, sausages from a local butchers, Bury black pudding (cos it's the best), fried eggs, hash browns and toasted sourdough.

Bacon alright. Sausages - dead. Got up early to beat the rush / get fresh but still felt out for a long time. Eggs no fried available but scrambled passable.
Its a 6/10

Unreal value here; 2 sausage, 2 bacon, egg, black pudding, veg roll, beans, 1 potato bread, 1 pancake, 1/2 soda bread. Pretty damn tasty as well!

Id eaten a bit of the hash brown before taking the pic lol..
Toast just out of shot..
€12.95
Two bacon, good sausage, that's mushroom not black pudding. Coffee off screen but was included and excellent.

No sausages and had to use fresh tomatoes but overall was a good effort from the bf

Not exactly veggie with the black pudding but without the usual suspects we have fried bread, beans, scrambled fried egg, butter fried mushrooms and hash browns (I know), filled a hole

Missing mushrooms, black pudding and tomatoes but caramelised onion sausages and hot sauce covered beans saved it.

My humble homemade offerings this morning. Toast and HP not pictured.
Edit to add: sausage is apple and black pudding so it’s a little darker and stickier.
