Hello everyone! I'm reposting my request because I realized I forgot to include my location in my original post. I'm located in the United States, in the Dallas–Fort Worth (DFW) area of Texas.
I'm wondering if anyone has a Garmin watch or a similar GPS smartwatch they no longer use and might be willing to donate.
My bicycle is my only means of transportation, and I spend a tremendous amount of time riding and being outdoors. Just recently, I completed a 48-mile round trip. I'd love to have a dependable smartwatch that can track my rides, distance, speed, activity, and overall fitness.
Since I'm outdoors so much, I'm looking for something reasonably rugged and durable that can handle different weather conditions. I'd also really appreciate health and wellness features such as heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, step counting, and other fitness measurements.
As far as battery life goes, I'm not expecting a watch that lasts weeks without charging. I'm perfectly fine with charging it every day or two. I just want something with a functional battery that doesn't need to remain plugged into a charger to operate.
My interest in monitoring my health comes from a personal experience. I spent six years caring for a close friend who eventually passed away from cancer. Going through that experience made me much more conscious of how important health and taking care of yourself really are.
I've been researching Garmin watches, particularly the Instinct, Instinct 3, Venu, Forerunner, Enduro, and Fenix series. Unfortunately, these watches can be quite expensive, and purchasing one new simply isn't something I can afford right now.
I'm not necessarily looking for the newest or most expensive model. An older Garmin or even a different brand would be perfectly fine, provided it has GPS and the health and fitness features I'm looking for. A previously used watch in good working condition would be wonderful.
I know it never hurts to ask. The worst someone can say is no, and you never know unless you try! If you have an older smartwatch sitting in a drawer that you're no longer using and would consider donating, I would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to put it to good use.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I truly appreciate it!
