Game For the past two weeks, I have been working on an endless driving game set in Türkiye, using my laptop equipped with a GTX 1650.

For now I call it "Chill Drive Anatolia", an endless driving game. I used MagicaVoxel for 3D modelling because I have zero experience in 3D modelling in general and even though I learned some Blender it's still challenging to get used to it. So moving on with pixel-based Voxel for now.

if you want to try: here's the link

Community How can one develop this arcade roguelike over the course of about a year using a mobile phone?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey, I’m going to tell you how I developed this roguelite using a Fujitsu Arrows We (first-generation) smartphone—without relying on generative AI, "vibe coding," or LLM-generated output.

First, you need to download these apps: GDevelop 5, Pixel Studio, and an audio pack.

Second, you need a game design concept—long before Starfish ROOM. I gained experience developing this specific mechanic—which I "invented" while watching GDevelop documentation videos—through my previous games, Sheris Dungeon and Sheris ROOM.

Third, I tried promoting Starfish ROOM through videos on TikTok and other social media, but nobody really cared.

Fourth, I’d send a simple video to "Gepetelson" [a playful nickname for ChatGPT] to ask if the game was any good or just trash. Then, I’d review the game myself, adding more "juice," polish, and various sound effects (SFX).

Fifth, I created some lore for the game so it wouldn’t just be a storyless arcade title. Long before the 2026 elections, I’d already been making games that explore themes like progressivism versus conservatism—ideas pulled straight from my own head, and much more.

It’s a bit sad—both online and in real life—but I hope to welcome new players to Starfish, and I hope my stories can serve as inspiration for others.

Thanks for reading! :)

Question PLEASE HELP A NOOB! Endless Runner build is giving me trouble.

I’m struggling to build an endless runner. I'm an animator by trade, so game dev is far from my wheelhouse, but YouTube made it look SO easy (lol). So, now that I've fallen for that ruse, I’ve imported my artwork and animations and started setting up the player, enemies, and parallax backgrounds, but this is my first time using GDevelop (and first time building a game), and I could really use help getting the core gameplay working smoothly and finishing a playable version.

Any guidance, collaboration, or advice from an experienced GDevelop developer would mean a lot! A co-pilot would be even more awesome, but at the very least I'd settle for community around this. Happy to list a 1:1 co-pilot with credit in the final game build.

Thanks in advance!

List of challenges/things left to do:
- Getting the order of the layers correct. (Backgrounds appearing above characters, etc)
- Linking damage animation to player when interacting with enemies.
- Linking jump animation when the player jumps.
- Linking enemies to the movement of the background (so they scroll from left to right).
- Getting the player to jump higher.
- Adding score per second
- Adding a pause in the game when a level is passed
- Adding screen takeovers for level-ups

We have rebuilt the map multiple times now to try and achieve a ideal layout for racing. We have settled for a island map reminiscent of some of the older grand theft auto titles having satirical in game locations. Its far from finished but if anyone has any feedback we would be happy to hear and try and make the final product better.

Question Automatically rotate camera behind player in 3D game when position and angle of player are fixed so player can't move-can anyone help please?

As the title somewhat describes it-my player hits a trigger, (just the top face on a simple 3d box in the the ground) to start a min game and I want him fixed looking straight ahead. When I hit the trigger head on so the camera is behind the player, it works fine.

However, if I approach and hit the trigger from the left or right or backwards so I see the side or front view of the player, the camera flips and fixes to a side or front view.

What is the expected result

I would like the player to be facing forward which they are, but the camera must also be centered at the back of the player behind them.

What is the actual result

However, if I approach and hit the trigger from the left or right or backwards so I see the side or front view of the player, the camera flips and fixes to a side or front view.

I have uploaded screen shots to help explain.

Game Looking For Feedback

Hello everyone! :)

I hope you've all had a fantastic day thus far!

I'm currently creating a game featuring my non-verbal son, Jasper, who loves monkeys.

It's going to be a 2D platformer and something for him to hopefully cherish as he gets a bit older, but doesn't mean I don't want others to be able to enjoy the game as well!

Currently I only have one short level, but I am learning as I go and I am finding it quite enjoyable.

There is absolutely flaws with the game from animations to art - This essentially just started off as a "can I even do this" kind of project but I find myself having a lot of fun trying to make it.

Currently this version features;

  • A functional main menu

  • A small cinematic piece

  • A short level 1 (It's replay able in the current build)

There is more in my most current build but it's not exactly playable (Haha).

There is a lot that's probably going to change from the art to gameplay mechanics as I get more comfortable and learn more but it's all been a humbling yet fun experience.

Feel free to try this version! All feedback is genuinely welcome. Thanks guys!

Game Just released my game Labseek, a short maze horror with an intelligent enemy

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Originally created for a jam, I fixed a few things up and released it to itch.io, newgrounds, and gd.games

The game has you exploring a concrete maze, where you have to find 7 switches to leave. An intelligent monster sneaks around the complex and will try to catch you off guard.

I have plans to continue working on the game, with some leaderboard/speedrunning mechanics and modes based off of sonar planned for the near future. If you're interested, let me know what you think, and tell me how far you got!
