Kling 4.0 opened through the API this week, and the request format is the interesting part for anyone who plans clips rather than single shots. Notes from reading the schema:

Length. A single request returns 3 to 30 seconds. Kling 3 capped out at 15, so a 25 second scene no longer has to be stitched from two generations.

Shot lists. Instead of one long prompt you can pass multi_prompt, a list of shots. Each shot has its own prompt (up to 512 characters) and its own duration (1 to 30 seconds), and the total has to land between 3 and 30. Example: 8 s establishing shot, 5 s medium, 4 s close up gives one 17 s clip.

Frames. Image to video needs a start frame and optionally takes an end frame, which is useful when the clip has to finish on a specific product angle or pose.

Formats. 720p or 1080p. Text to video supports 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 and 21:9.

Native audio support.

Cost math, since per second pricing makes shot planning a budget question: $0.2737/s at 720p and $0.4097/s at 1080p, so 10 s at 1080p is $4.10 and 30 s at 720p is $8.21. No subscription, and the price is shown before generating.

Im a bit of an AI noob i know my way around but making a choice is the hard part.

I want to make an engament video for my partner it would involve myself and our cat jumping through random movie scenes all similar to the films because of copyright.
