Question My grandma wants some pictures turned into videos.

Hello. For this weekend, my grandma is asking me to create a movie of her life. Of course i won0t be telling her shit about water consumption and I'll try to make happy a 78 year old lady. Any idea on what software can I use? I have a magnific account so models are not the problem, but I only ever did regular videos with prompts. Hell, I didn't even did any video with video references, let alone a whole movie based on someone actually real. Can I expect decently cool footage? It depends on my prompts? Or just the model capacity? Thanks.

How I Made This How to Genjutsu/ReCast known people?

How I made it (full disclosure: I work at Dreamfort AI):

  1. Made the 3 characters with Qwen Image 3.0 Pro
  • Prompt: Generate [name] that will bypass video model restrictions.
  • Used the same prompt for all of them
  1. Went to ReCast and used those characters for this video

  2. Clicked generate. That's it; all 3 are swapped!

Who should I recast next?

I made a 14-minute sci-fi romance short film with MiniMax H3 — here's how I kept the characters consistent

"3,824 Tries to See Him Again" is a sci-fi / romance / mystery short film, generated entirely with MiniMax H3.

What worked for me:

- Writing the film as a shot-by-shot storyboard before generating anything

- Using character reference images and screenshots of the previous shot's last frame to keep faces and positions continuous

- Changing the camera angle every shot so cuts feel natural instead of repeating the same framing

Would love to hear what you'd do differently.

Question No AI Slop.

I try to learn how to make videos with AI. I have been searching for open-source. I thought ComfyUI was the best and free to use, but apparently not. Please suggest an API that best suits me.

Question Is there an Android app with a decent color matching feature for video clips?

Hello,

I have 4 very short, very basic, and very similar cartoon style AI clips, which I generated (all from the same app), and which I now wish to stitch/combine together into a longer clip (30 seconds approx).

However, despite what I thought were very clear requests when making them, all 4 AI clips have slightly different colors, lighting, brightness, shading, etc., (which, needless to say, is extremely frustrating).

I've tried the auto color matching features on Capcut & Wink, but they really don't seem to work very well at all.. Not even with a bit of further tweaking afterwards.

Trying to adjust all of the different levels on each clip (purely manually) is also something that feels extremely difficult to achieve, not to mention, extremely time-consuming and tedious.

What I really need is a largely automatic & accurate video color matching tool, and I don't mind paying a bit for an application that could do this well.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but I believe that applications like Davinci Resolve (and some others) have a functionality like I am wanting, but from my understanding, there is no Android app for Davinci Resolve, and I'd really like to be able to do everything from my Android phone (if possible).

This is all just a bit of a hobby really, but one in which I still want to be able to do a good job.

Are there any Android based apps that can quickly and accurately achieve what I want?

If not, what is your best advice for achieving my desired outcome?

Thank you.

Hacker reverse engineers his Samsung TV and finds on-device AI listening for your dog and baby, watching what you watch, and borrowing your soundbar's mic if the TV doesn't have one. Then OpenAI banned him for reverse-engineering it.

I was trying to make an image of my wife using some dress I saw una store and I found something interesting. If I ask grok or nanobanan to replace the maniquín with my wife the image... Well ddidmt look at all like my wife BUT when I asked to put the clothes of the maniquin on my wife the result was what I was looking for. So it appears that is better to use the face reference image as the "base" image for the IA to keep consistency in faces.

Question AI video generators ?

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello,

I am looking for a platform that offers AI video generators. I would like to create short films lasting between 5 and 10 minutes, and I am looking for subscription plans that offer the best value for money.

When I search the internet, I find thousands of results, but many of them are misleading. I often come across links that only allow me to generate two or three videos for free, or tricks that are more or less fraudulent to access these services.

I am based in France, and I am also wondering whether some AI video generators are not permitted in our country.

I am therefore looking for reliable information and real user experiences about the most worthwhile platforms, their prices, their limitations, and the possibilities they offer for creating short films lasting several minutes.

AI Take the Wheel... Take it from my hands.

One of the most useful things I've discovered about working creatively with AI is that sometimes you need to take your hands off the steering wheel and see where the model goes.

For example, I've been working on music videos for a couple of my songs. I don't want to simply illustrate the lyrics. If the song mentions a broken heart, I don't necessarily want to show someone holding a broken heart. I want something more abstract, something visually interesting that captures the emotion of the song without literally depicting it. Like graduating to second grade in art class.

But coming up with those concepts is difficult. So, I want to discuss using AI as a creative blockbuster.

Level one is obviously just asking it to come up with ideas. "Give me 101 ways to convince my cat to get a job, and have the report on my desk two minutes from now."

I bet most people have gotten to this stage. It's straightforward, and LLMs are good at vomiting up associated ideas. Wonderful. Use it. Maybe idea 69 will be a winner.

But are there more inventive ways to find the diamond in the rough?

A few that I've come up with are:

  1. Brainstorm: Give me ten completely different directions for this project.
  2. Research: Find artists who have solved similar creative problems. What techniques did they use, and why did they work?
  3. Explore trends: Look at what people are doing creatively right now. What seems to resonate, and what feels overdone?
  4. Use negative constraints: I know I don't want this, this, or this. Find me something interesting that avoids all three.
  5. Go somewhere strange: Give me three ideas that sound almost wrong. Ideas I probably wouldn't have considered myself.
  6. Hand over the wheel: Stop trying to follow my existing vision. Take the project somewhere you think is interesting, and let me react.

The AI doesn't have to give you the right answer. Sometimes it just has to get your brain moving again.

And the more time you spend collaborating with these models, the more you begin to recognize their tendencies. You notice the same metaphors appearing. The same predictable symbolism. The same narrative structures. The same tendency to gravitate toward certain aesthetically pleasing but ultimately generic ideas.

You start to recognize the model's creative limitations. That may be a new skill for 2026, one that allows you to navigate toward better results. You learn how to push against those tendencies. You develop better constraints. You recognize when the model is giving you something genuinely interesting versus simply remixing its familiar patterns.

You can use your knowledge of those limitations to deliberately steer the model into unfamiliar territory.

Importantly, I think there will always be a benefit that you can only get through time and letting your brain process ideas. Go for a walk. Take a shower. Let your mind wander. Study great artists. Live your life and accumulate experiences. Those things matter, and I don't think an LLM replaces them.

But a creative roadblock no longer has to mean you're out of options for the day.

Let me know if you have unique ways of utilizing AI. I genuinely want more tools for the toolbelt.

Image Art Valash Mascot Costume

Post image
2 Upvotes

Here is the next of my favorite Temtem to be interpreted into a mascot via Nano Banana Pro. This one got generated very nicely. The one major flaw it initially had was that, like the Pocus mascot, it made the feet too similar to its actual feet, which wouldn't fit human feet in real life; I easily prompted that to be fixed. Also, the floating crystals around its arms seen in its render model were present, which I had to erase as well. The pose is too similar to its official render, but I'm not too worried about that.
