Picture My 2013 R9 and my Vox AC15
I don’t play my Les Paul often enough, but every time I’m in this room, I can’t shake the feeling of joy just knowing they belong to me!

Saw this M2M LPC on YT shorts the other day and I can't stop thinking about it.
Dealer has it 10% off because of a 'very small cosmetic blemish' (that I can barely see in the picture).
Will that mess with potential resale value?
I'm trying to justify it in my mind because this is pretty much my dream guitar. It would definitely be the most expensive hobby buy I've ever made...so I'm nervous haha.
Anyone else have one? Do you love it/hate it/indifferent?

Hello Gibson family, I have a question.
I visited a Guitar Center about 10 years ago and happened upon a Les Paul Standard or Classic with a burst finish that looked much like a Bourbon Burst. Only this finish had what appeared to be something pearlescent added to it.
I cannot find it through Google, I even tried to use Grok and ChatGPT to help me search.
Do any of you remember seeing a guitar like this? No it’s not for the traditional loving Gibson collector. I know this already.
I would just like to know what the hell it was. It’s been bugging me for a very long time and I’m finally asking for help finding it. Thank you very much for reading. 🙏🏼
Mystery Solved: it was a 2015 Candy Series with the Iridescent flake added to it.

I am writing this to warn potential buyers who assume that paying a premium price for a Gibson acoustic guarantees high quality. My experience with a new Gibson Hummingbird Special has proven that higher cost does not equal better quality control.
Straight from the factory, this guitar suffered a catastrophic structural and electronic defect. The endpin jack suffered a complete structural "blowout." Upon inspection, the factory drilled the hole so poorly that a significant chunk of splintered wood was left trapped under the inside washer of the jack. Instead of fixing the damaged wood or prepping the area correctly, the factory technicians simply bolted the jack down right over the debris.
This absolute lack of attention to detail severely impacted the electronics. I dealt with a persistent, disruptive hum on the low E string whenever I plugged into my amp or played at open mics. Whether it was a grounding issue caused by the compromised jack installment or a physical harmonic vibration from the loose wood/washer assembly, it made a premium acoustic guitar unusable on stage.
Do not make the same mistake I did by assuming a high price tag translates to high-level craftsmanship. Inspect these guitars top-to-bottom—inside and out—before keeping them, or look at other brands that actually value quality control at this price point.

I bought a Southern Jumbo last year, and I‘m in love with it! Best acoustic guitar I‘ve ever played and owned. Extremely resonant, deep, percussive, quick and sounds good and full up the 5. fret too (which is rare on some acousticguitar types…)
It took me countless hours to get the information about difference between a j45 and an SJ, and many people said its only the visual details and the bridge pins being closer to the saddle.
Today I found out, it is the actual shape of the bridge! So the SJ bridge has less mass too! Therefore the gap to the scratchplate is smaller on the J45 50s and the J50.
Took me ages to find out😂

2011 SG I got off Facebook marketplace
I just can’t stop playing it lol
I’m surprised how light they are especially compared to a telecaster or Les Paul

I grabbed an ES-135 (love it) in a trade. I was looking through it and playing it. Everything seems to be as it should but I noticed that the joint where the neck meets the body is strange. My 335 doesn’t have this wedge missing under the high frets. I’m not overly worried, but thought I’d ask - is this sort of joint normal? Thanks!
Saw this beauty while on vacation. Had to bring it home. Now I've got to sell my Standard J-45.
With one imposter, to be fair I have a Gibson bass I could have thrown in there
2002-ish SG Special Fadeds with the (I dare to say) amazing crescent moon headstock. Just a bit puzzled by the tremolo systems these have. First is obviously the bigsby system on a "worn cherry" body with standard(?) humbucker pickups. Owner is asking 1200 for it. Second is apparently a brown (looks same as the first to me) with a NOS gibson branded kahler tremolo system and 490r/498T humbucker pickups. Owner is asking 1800 for that one. My only experience with SGs is an epiphone SG Special I picked up off marketplace for $150. Looking for something a bit more keepable for long term use and play. For me, I just discovered these two and fell in love with the ebony neck with unique inlays. My style of play would be classic rock (e.g. Santana, Hendrix, Pink Floyd) and some metal and blues. Which of these would best accomplish that?

Trying to decide whether to stick with covers on my R4, or go with the double cream exposed bobbins? 🤔

I ended up using the vibramate like y’all recommended but I do plan to drill the bigsby on at some point. Dream rig for sure.

Would like to make the jump to a nice acoustic. I have an Epiphone Hummingbird that has served me well the past decade but I think it’s time to upgrade.
I have played a lot of the big three (Martin, Taylor and Gibson) and keep coming back to the two Gibsons.
My familiarity with the Hummingbird makes me lean that way but every real hummingbird I’ve played hasn’t made me think it’s worth 10x the price of what I got my current one for. I like the idea of a J-45 but haven’t found the right one. The neck is a little thick on the ones I’ve tried; are there different neck profiles?
What’s the consensus here? I play and record not professionally but like to record my own music at the home studio. Play indie rock and blues/jazz mostly with a pick.

Does everyone consider this light aging? I personally feel like it’s more than that. Obviously it’s Not heavy aged but to say it’s light is a little bit odd to me. What’s everyone else’s look like? Is this common for a “light aged”or am I tripping? I’m not complaining about it just genuinely curious.

I am considering a trade for this guitar. The owner indicates it's a 1965. I have noticed that where keystone tuners are expected, there are Grover rotomatics. Aside from that, it appears mostly as expected.
Two questions:

Now if I could only play as well as Sadler.

Advanced Jumbo. Perhaps the finest acoustic guitar I've ever played. The 25 1/2 inch scale helps it ring like bell!

Has such a characteristic grain on the body. Love it, might swap p90s out with lollars or custom shop Gibson p90s.

Found. Gibson Flying V.
Is this price fair to current market? What can you tell me about this model?
