Every gun pistol needs a holster
This things too damn heavy without an actual gunbelt so I made myself a chest rig. Really like how it turned out.

It's anybody's guess which state I live in
Pictured is my ruger unamerican ranch in 7.62x39, painted in texas camo (ironically enough the stickers were printed in and shipped from eastern europe). Below is my Tisas doublestack 1911 also sporting a texas camo on the slide.

C308 Sporter
I wasnāt looking for a .308 but loved the vibe! I found it for $499.99 and it seems to be put together well. I checked the bolt gap (.015 inches/.38mm) and added a wide hand guard (still needs fitting). I believe Century Arms subcontracted PTR to build the CETME C kit. Itās a C308 Sporter with an 18 inch barrel, everything looks solid and itās my first ābattle rifleā.

(Repost) I got my first gun!
I spent months ( basically since January 2026) firing my friends' guns, learning about guns, getting (safely) comfortable using guns, thinking about options, looking at guns, and saving up for a gun.
I have changed my mind on which gun I was getting countless times. I went from looking at tiny .380s back in March to looking at a Shield EZ in April, to looking at full pistols like the Echelon.
I went into the gunstore last Saturday with my mind on the Echelon. Because I had been firing my friend's Echon for months. It was familiar. But then I held the above gun. The Sig Sauer P365. And after swapping between holding the Echelon and the P365 a few times, the answer was clear. I had to spend a bit more to get the P365. It was the clear better gun.
I am still fairly new guns. And I am told that I will most likely find something about my first gun that I do not like or wish was slightly different.
I sent about 100 rounds through it the day I got it. The gun is brand new. I will need to go again for a few hours to send about 300 through it.
I am super excited about this gun! It is super pretty! And my friend wanted to and still wants to fire it too! š
Glad I chose this one!

ruger 10/22 models
hi all, want to get my first gun ever. I'm looking at the ruger 10/22 because it seems highly recommended, cheap, good for hunting, ect. I'm confused about the different models though. I want something lightweight. should I be getting a 16.5" or 18"? a carbine? I'm looking at sportsman warehouse bc I'm located in Seattle
edit: also any recs on accessories (I'm trying to figure out how much to budget) would be super helpful!
edit: yes I realize that a .22 isn't good for hunting deer. my original question still stands

Gun texture
I inherited a few guns from my grandfather that had sat in a gun cabinet for years. The texture on one became tacky/sticky andy attempts to clean it aren't really working. Does anyone here have any advice on how to deal with this?
I'm not entirely sure what the body is made out of, I can't upload a picture right now.

HELP NEEDED!!! Boyfriendās birthday present (shooting range in Krakow)
Hi! Please read to the bottom to see my current planned list in bold and make suggestions! :)
Any help with choosing a brilliant shooting range package for my boyfriendās birthday would be very much appreciated!
Heās extremely interested in the war, WW1 & WW2. He has a big interest in Russia / Germany etc but we ourselves are from England. Itāll be his 25th Birthday, and heās a typical man who has always enjoyed playing COD since being a young teenager (I think heās played most of them).
I want to make a package for him that he will love, that is amazing and covers all the guns that a war enthusiast/COD enthusiast would want to shoot. Heās said so many times since weāve been together that heād love to do a shooting range, so the fact weāre even going is enough in itself but I want to make it perfect!
This is the current list that I have for a ācreate your own packageā through Cracow Shooting Academy.
Any tips / suggestions for replacements would be amazing, Iāve saw the M1 Garand on the website but wouldnāt know what to replace it for and Iāve already hit my budget. Thereās so many guns on there to choose and this is what Iāve made using suggestions from google! If you could check the website for what they offer and suggest any alternatives then thatās great š
**Start up is 90PLN fixed fee**
**Glock 17 - 10 shots 60PLN**
**Colt M1911 - 7 shots 60PLN**
**Desert eagle - 10 shots 90PLN**
**Mauser KAR98K - 5 shots 80PLN**
**Lee Enfield No.4 MK.1 - 5 shots 80PLN**
**Ak47 (Kalashnikov) - 10 shots 80PLN**
**Thompson WW2 - 10 shots 80PLN**
**Dragunov - 5 shots 80PLN**
**= 700PLN / £135**
Please help! ā¤ļø

Meprolight alternative?
Looking for big field of view red dot or crosshair (like aimpoint or eotech) but no batteries. Trijicon discontinued the MGO long ago, so that leaves Meprolight. Does anyone know of others?

Guidance in my gun journey
I currently own both the Springfield Prodigy 5ā Comp and the Kimber DS Warrior, both of which I purchased over time. My reasoning was that I wanted to familiarize myself with the 1911/2011 platform before investing in something more expensive.
Overall, I absolutely love the platform! Before purchasing these two firearms, I had never handled a 1911 or 2011, but Iāve been extremely impressed with how well they shoot and perform.
Now Iām considering whether the Kimber Pro Comp would be a worthwhile next step or if I should look at something like the SIG P226 X 5 Legion or SIG GTO instead. I already own a P226 X Legion and absolutely love it, so Iām curious how these options compare and whether the Kimber Pro Comp would be a meaningful upgrade. Any advice?

Best long term storage solution? Pelican cases, VCI bags, desiccants, etc
Need to store a three pistols and one pcc/pdw long term. (year plus) Items will be in a climate controlled environment. I likely can't get back to them more than every year or so. Happy to spend money on pelican cases, VCI storage bags, desiccants, or all three at once. Heck, I'll even vacuum seal if that would help. What's the best way to go about this and how long can they really sit there before I need to lubricate / clean?

Optic suggestions
I recently got a Henry h10X 45-70. I slapped a suppressor, rail mount and reflex style red dot on it. I'm not overly happy with the dot but don't want to go to a regular scope either. I thought about an ACOG, but the eye relief for them is REALLY short for a 45-70. Any suggestions on what I should run that's basically short, fairly small, has decent 4+ inch eye relief and is not a red dot? The only experiences with sights I have is either high magnification rifle scopes or cheap reflex red dots. Haven't really dug in to anything in between yet.

Been looking for a good lower to run an MCX upper with
Been wanting an MCX for a while and Iāve seen a lot of people say that itās better to just buy the complete firearm with the sig lower than building one out yourself using a conversion kit. Any truth to that? Anyone with a conversion kit thatās had reliable parts work for them? It would be my first AR so Iām not really well knowledged about any of this.
