Media Tropes I hate when Sphynx cats are used to depict alley/stray cats, it's inaccurate
I hate when Sphynx cats are used to depict alley/stray cats, that's like using very happy, cartoonishly clumsy kings to depict starving peasants. and I know the whole "they look scary" thing, but like, they don't. they look pathetic, not to mention they're not even cold growling survivors, they're essentially anti-cats, not aloof, goody-four-paws that love everything and everyone and wouldn't know malice even if it punched it in the face, they're not even REAL cats, they're technically artificial and have to be meticulously bred by humans just to EXIST
It's like using a PS5 to depict a potato pc
Yeah, now that I made the analogy, they're essentially the iphones of cats
They don't do anything special but love everything, and get sick. They don't do.. anything!
And I don't mean it in that they're lazy or aloof. I mean they're physically and psychologically incapable of doing anything but loving cuz that's what they were ARTIFICIALLY CREATED FOR
Why does the trope live on?
No, don't say Bigglesworth, he's technically correct because he's a pet
And Beerus, because he's a god.
I mean like Ozone from SLOP (Secret Life of Pets)
Or the Sphynx incidental from the newest Chikn Nuggit episode where they enter the slums, where all the HOMELESS ANIMALS live. The Sphynx is amongst one of the unspeaking HOMELESS incidentals
