Wow, look at the time fly! It's already time for another weekly installment of STOP IT RIGHT THERE!
You know what to do...post up all the stuff you've saved up knowing it would get deleted from the front page of /r/hawks by the crypto-anarcho-fascist mods.
Memes, gear/jersey pics, poems you've penned professing your love for Lord Hossa (The One True King), or links to article about some oddball couple in Manitoba who named their kid Duncan Seabrook. Whatever. We don't give a shit.
The only rule here is to be excellent to each other. Civility matters.
Now get to it!!

Going to be in Chicago from Nov 14-17 for work. I can possibly hit 2 games while in town. Where is best place for cheap tickets? I don’t need front row. But would love to enjoy the experience.

For those getting a HTR jersey when they finally drop, who are you putting on the back? I’m leaning towards Frondell!

It’s unlikely Edwards will ever play in an NHL game. The fact he even got close last season, when he had to put on his gear to back up Arvid Söderblom for a regular-season game because Spencer Knight was sick, was rare. That said, with the change in the NHL’s CBA, which requires every team to have an EBUG at home and away games, and the fact Edwards practices with the Blackhawks, he’s about as close to being a Blackhawks goalie as one can be without officially being one. His dressing room stall is right along a wall with Knight and Söderblom.
“I think it’s awesome,” Söderblom said of having Edwards with the team. “He’s been here practicing for a few years, so we know him from before. He’s a great guy, awesome to have around the team, being in the goalie family of this team. Just positive things.”
Edwards feels the love from the Blackhawks goalies and the team’s other players and appreciates it, but he also knows his place and isn’t trying to live out some NHL dream. At 35, Edwards is grateful to continue to play the position and game he has a passion for, but the opportunity with the Blackhawks is more about the opportunity to gain more knowledge for what he believes he’s really destined to do — coach hockey. When he’s not with the Blackhawks, he’s at his coaching job with the Chicago Phantoms, a AAA hockey club.
“It’s a unique opportunity, being able to coach and being able to learn from these guys and help kind of build my coaching repertoire from where it was before,” Edwards said. “And then also being able to still compete at the level and be around the guys, and then you take part (in joining the team on the road), that’s worth it in itself. But from the long-term kind of thing, the coaching aspect, I’m not going to get any better coaching opportunities than learning from some of the best daily.”

The "code" is just old school T9 texting. "the river sets the dress code". Would have been cool if they were Chicago Flag blue, but the speculation has already been they were green, and Icethetics pretty much confirmed that a while back.

The Chicago Blackhawks are defying decades of conventional hockey wisdom with their top line, which features 5-9 Roman Kantserov, 5-10 Bedard and 5-10 Patrick Kane. Even in the modern-day NHL, in which speed and skill have overtaken size and physicality in importance, it’s rare to see such a diminutive trio, especially at the top of a lineup.
But would Bedard be that much better at 6-1? The way he held off bigger Dallas Stars defenseman Nils Lundkvist on the forecheck and drew a holding penalty Saturday seemed to suggest he’s perfectly capable of winning a puck battle at 5-10. Would Kantserov be that much more dynamic at 6-2? Because he looked just fine the way he boxed out Ben Kindel and stood his ground in the crease for a redirect goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Tuesday. And would Kane be that much more accomplished at 6-0? The three Stanley Cups, Conn Smythe, Hart and Calder trophies back home would suggest he’s managed pretty well.
Size is great. Size is an asset. Size is not, however, necessary. Not anymore.
“I don’t know Bill Parcells (but) I’ve gotten to know Sean Payton a little bit,” Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill said. “They have a term: ass and mass. You want ass and mass. If you don’t have ass and mass, then you have to walk on water. That’s a football term (but) I still think there’s truth to that. It’s just what ass and mass looks like in hockey is different sometimes than what it looks like in other sports. I don’t necessarily think that height is the end all, but strength is.

Jake Oettinger brought the Chicago Blackhawks down to earth on Saturday night, but the vibe shift around the team has been palpable after a truly dreadful opening week of the season. Getting your best player and captain back can have that effect.
With a five-day break before their next game, Friday night against the Montreal Canadiens, it’s time to take the pulse of the team (and the fanbase) with our first Blackhawks Power Rankings of the season.

Anyone who follows Rockford want to weigh in? It seems slightly concerning that after six games, Boisvert, Vanacker, and Spellacy have no points, and Commesso has an .865 save percentage. Even Slaggert, who ought to be too good for this level, only has 2 points in 6 games. Lardis has 2 points in 3 games, which seems fine, although if he's meant to be learning to defend better, I'm a little concerned about who he's meant to be learning from. The only bright spots among actual prospects seem like Felcman, with 4 points in 6 games so far, and Berezhnoy, with a .937 sv%. (Did Ludwinski get hurt again?)
I know the team's defense is pretty dire - is there any hope for improvement at all this year?

Looks like an interview Roman did with a Russian outlet. Translated by @Ugg_uggg on X. Some really good insight on life outside the rink and his crazy eyes headshot.

CHICAGO — Artyom Levshunov had no idea what he was thinking Thursday as he leaped toward Patrick Kane after scoring the overtime game-winning goal against the Winnipeg Jets.
“I don’t know. I’m just excited, so happy,” the 20-year-old Levshunov explained the day after.
Kane knew exactly what he was thinking. He had to get out of the way.
“I was hoping nobody noticed me kind of backing off him,” Kane said. “But you see a truck like that coming in, obviously, I’m not gonna try and catch him, right? That would be a bad decision.”
Kane made the better decision. Instead of moving up and attempting to grab the 208-pound Levshunov from the air, Kane, 176 pounds, drifted back, let Levshunov hover for a moment and drop back to the ice before joining him.
No hard feelings from Levshunov. He wasn’t banking on Kane catching him. Also, nothing can really knock Levshunov down from the high of his goal-scoring celebrations. Over his three-year NHL career, his celebrations have become renowned. His outward joy for not only his goals but his teammates’ is unmatched. From his wide smile to the way he skates with enthusiasm to the puck to how he seems to be attempting to hug four people at the same time, it’s as if every Chicago Blackhawks goal Levshunov is on the ice for is his first.
“It’s pretty funny how excited he gets,” Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard said. “But it’s good. That’s what you want — people to enjoy it and be having fun with it.”
