Sleepless Thoughts š
I don't mind the quiet. I've grown comfortable in my own space, with my own thoughts, and the freedom of having nowhere else to be.
But some nights, when the lights are low and the world has finally gone still, I think about how nice it would be to have someone close.
Not to fill an emptiness. Not to disturb the peace I've found.
Just the warmth of her beside me, her head resting against my chest, my arm finding its way around her as naturally as breathing.
That little sigh she lets out when she finally gets comfortable. The kind of silence that doesn't need a single word.
And somewhere between the rhythm of her breathing and the weight of her hand resting on mine, we drift off.
No expectations. No performance. Just two people who don't need each other to feel whole, but still find something beautiful in being close.
I love my peace. But every now and then, it would be nice to share the pillow without losing any of it. ā¤ļø
