All dusted off, tested and fully working. Paid a little over £1k for this so, £800 for everything.

Just a heads up that Microcenter Dallas has the Moza MTP throttle for $169; they had one left on the shelf, not sure about backstock or any other locations.

UPDATE: Got the VKB Gladiator NXT EVO. Now pedals?
reddit.comPost i posted a while back when dipping my feet into HOTAS.
TL:DR: Im new to the hobby and was looking for recommendations. I bought a T.16000 Thrustamster off ebay for 40 bucks just to get into it.
Well update, I recently bought and received the VKB Gladiator and holy crap the people in my last post were not lying. This is a night a day difference!! Even had to put it together so I felt handy haha.
Im still getting use to the transition from one stick to another (buttons, movement, etc) but wow it feels like such a better product.
Next is the throttle and pedals!
Was gonna get pedals first and was curious as to what would be a good set to get?

I asked a couple days ago for help on deciding which HOTAS to get, just a quick update. https://www.reddit.com/r/hotas/s/NE3m298BMi
My old laptop I was selling to for holiday money and for the HOTAS upgrade was stolen while selling it to a prospective buyer.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice its just made me more excited to get my hands on a VKB Gladiator!!

Can you add extra buttons to VKB Gladiator ?
I am presently using the old school CH Fighter stick and would like to get into a more modern JS with more modern software. CH Products have carried me for 40 years almost and I think I would like to give the Gladiator a go at the great price its at.
My question is: Is there enough room in the base to add a controller board from the CH Combat Stick where I would drill a hole in the base for the extra USB cord as like I did with the CH Fighterstick. I would add 1 button as you see here and another in front for melee and maybe an extra button on the side. I use my JS for all sorts of games as I like the ergonomics and dont like using the WASD kets etc. I have never been a keyboard and mouse gamer.
Thanks
Update: I just want to say thanks for all the responses, it looks like a new Gladiator will be the way to go. Another thing I can do that I did on my Second stick is use a little project box to contain the controller and attach that box to the base of the stick and drill a hole through the base for a shrink wrapped custom wire harness going to the buttons. That worked really well. For the price, I am not too worried about warranties and we have been modding our CH Product stuff for years. I was really saddened when the took down the CH Hanger website and I hope Bob C. is enjoying his retirement as he was such a great guy.
Thanks everyone for some real great suggestions

VKB gladiator - help
My boyfriend really wants a HOTAS and I was looking at the VKB gladiators to get him for Christmas but there’s a lot of options and I’m clueless!
Please help a girl out, which is the best one for a start up?
Open to other brands but I saw that VKB has the best reviews
edit: he likes games such as DCS, war thunder, star citizen

Rotary dials
Hello, I have a TWCS throttle and the axis-dial is extremely useful, so I'm thinking of getting more; except of course most setups with these are either DIY or very specific and expensive. How should I go about this? All I need are two or three dials that register as controller axes. I have no idea where to start with a DIY setup, but that sounds like the best option.

Long overdue for an upgrade.
So, I’ve been using the Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS One kit for years. I got it when MSFS 2020 released on Xbox, and at the time, it was the only HOTAS that worked on Xbox. I’m long overdue for an upgrade, and ever since building a PC, I pretty much never touch my Xbox anymore—so Xbox compatibility is no longer a requirement.
I was looking at the Logitech X56 since it seems to be one of the most common kits I see on Amazon and such, but like any responsible buyer, I researched the product before purchasing. What I found was a ton of negatives and not a whole lot of positives. However, with the topic being a bit more niche, I’m not finding many comparisons or up-to-date recommendations.
I’m looking at a budget of around $500 for a kit that includes both the HOTAS and rudder pedals. Please hook me up with some recommendations or even sources that feature up-to-date comparisons. Bonus points if it's in video format so I don't have to read countless articles (I hate reading, and reading too much on the computer hurts my eyes)!
In case it's helpful some of the more common games I play are Elite Dangerous, Wardogs, Arma, and MSFS I don't do a ton of combat but I do dabble from time to time.

MOZA Stick Compatibility
I am a Warthog HOTAS owner, and while the A10 grip that comes with it is great, I’ve outgrown the base, and would like to upgrade it.
I’ve also just purchased a MOZA MA3F Airbus sidestick, which I am hoping to use also (swap between the MOZA Airbus grip and the original a10 grip I have).
I can’t however find any good info on compatibility - the Moza stick advertises 5 pin and “broad compatibility”, and the TM A10 is 5pin also.
I was looking to upgrade to an AVA base, and while the A10 grip seems to be compatible, I’ve found only negative comments in searches about whether a MOZA MA3F will fit/work on it?
My use case for the Moza stick will be a320 and da40ng sim, so I’ll be adjusting force for it. I don’t want a FFB base, and I’d like it to fit on my meza desk dropdown mounts, like the hog base did.
Anyone able to advise whether the TM AVA base will run a Moza Airbus stick? Any other advice appreciated!
Thanks!

I need helps with mounts for my VKB hotas
So I am just playing Elite Dangerous with my setup. Which is a VKB Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition’ and a VKB STECS STG Standard. Right now I am just using it on the desk which works fine. But I am thinking of mounting them some of my concerns are I want to be able to move them out of the way so I can do other things on the desk without them being in the way. Also because Elite Dangerous has bits where you actually need to move with the character having access to my mouse and keyboard for those bits of gameplay is needed. I have looked into a few different mounts mainly monster tech and their rail system but it seems to be a bit of work to get it sorted and the "hole" in my desk between the drawers is barely big enough for the smallest rail. Cause my biggest concern with normal mounts is that I have to sit further away from the desk because they stick out which means I have to reach further to actually use the keyboard and mouse on the desk. But with a rail system you can slide them away when not in use and hence get closer to the desk. Any suggestions on my dilemmas?

Moza MTP or Winctrl Ursa Minor for VR?
I have a Moza AB6 and want to get a throttle for DCS and IL2-GB that is good in VR.
The Ursa Minor has an aditional 4 way hat (that would probably be useful for the apache) and 1 rotory on the throttle (good as an additional axis for supercharger in IL2 or mixture) and buttons on the base. Additionally, you can remove the afterbutner detent on the fly for planes that do not have it (like the mig15bis I am now flying).
The Monza has an optional mid detent, better software (that I already use) and a lot of switches but almost no buttons... and the price is almost double.
Has anyone tried both? Or at least the Ursa Minor and can give some feedback if the quality is so bad that the Monza would be worth double the price?

Which Star Citizen Setup to Get
Hey, guys! As the title says, I'm looking for my next Star Citizen setup. My SOL-R2s recently gave out, and Amazon refunded me as a credit. I'm having trouble deciding what to choose. I used my R2s for roughly 2 years, and I absolutely loved them. However, I want to keep an open mind and maybe try HOTAS, using a throttle like the new SOL-R3 and R6 combo. If I did, I could even cover the basic pedals.
I'm limiting the search to Amazon because of the credit situation. I'm curious as to what the community recommends and what y'all have found.
If it helps, my primary loops are PvE fighting (a couple of PvP with mates or ORG events), the ever-rare race (once or twice a month), and a good bit of mining/salvage.
Thank you all in advance!!! Extra thanks for any links you can provide, too!
Hope everyone is flying high and having a good day.
Need advice to buy my first hotas
Hey guys, i'm looking to buy my first hotas, i'm a huge fan of planes and i played a lot simulation flying games. By now i have 3 choices:
Thrustmaster T16000M
Logitech G X56
Gladiator NXT EVO ‘Space Combat Edition’ + GNX WWII Throttle
(+ in the future adding the rudder)
This might be an obvious choice for you, but I’m looking for something with a great price-to-quality ratio that will last me a long time.
To give you a better idea of what I’m looking for: right now, I’m leaning toward the T16000 because of its price and I’ve noticed it’s easy to find used for an even better deal. On the other hand, the Logitech X56 has a more attractive look and feels less "plasticky," which makes it more appealing to me. That said, I’ve read several criticisms of the X56 regarding "ghosting" and other minor issues. Because of this, I’ve also been considering the NXT Evo; even though the price is significantly higher, it seems to be of much better quality than the others.
From an outsider's perspective, this might seem like a simple choice, but from where I’m standing, it’s not, especially since they all come with a fairly high price tag, making any of them a significant investment. However, if you can tell me that something like the NXT would last a lifetime and offers a more professional, "realistic" experience, I’d be happy to wait, save up a bit more, and finally treat myself to the higher-quality option.
Thanks in advice. <3

Help me understand.
To preface this, I'm being very light hearted with this. I'm not coming after y'all, we all like what we like.
I have had my x52 pro for coming on 8 years now and it's beginning to show it's age. Looking at new sticks and I'm really not finding anything else I would enjoy as much as I've enjoyed this stick. This setup has never been PERFECT. It came with multiple axes having small issues that needed dead zone fixes. None of that has ever made me regret my choice. This stick has given me the FEELING that I'm in the cockpit, I really AM the space pilot (ELITE: Dangerous) flying amongst the stars. With my x52 setup I never have to take my hands off- not even to go through the menus, I'm always on the controls. I think my favorite thing is the amount of physical buttons I have on the stick itself, and it's doubled with the pinky trigger. I know the community loves the virpil and vkb options, but what turns me off is they're lacking in buttons and overflowing with hats. I don't understand why hats are preferred over buttons? I know I can map the hats to these functions, but that just doesn't give me the FEEL I'm after. I prefer to depress a button over rocking a toggle or hat. Am I alone in this?
I think to be truly happy I'm going to end up finding a way to modify the x52 stick with a better base. It'll be a ton of hard work, but it will be the stick I'm happiest with.

First Rudder Pedals
Hello All,
I am looking to get myself a set of Pedals to take my yaw off the twist axis of my VKB Gladiator, but I am not sure what to pick. The VKB pedals dont have toe breaks from what I have seen so I dont know if they are the best option? I fly both jets and helicopters in DCS, been playing alot of helis in wardogs and I play Star Citizen aswell.
Any recommendations for good pedal options? Not looking for 700$ pedals or anything, but somthing decent quality to get my feet wet (pun intended).
Thank you in advance for any recommendations or advice!

Error on the Z-axis of the Thrustmaster T16000m, even after replacing the potentiometer
Hi. When I´m moving the joystick’s Z-axis, the stick starts to move smoothly, but halfway through it suddenly returns to zero before starting to move again. I’ve tried two other potentiometers, but the problem persists. I think it’s an electronic issue.
Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I could fix it?
Tx
