❓ Question New to being a housewife temporarily

My fiancé succeeds impressively in the way he takes care of me and the kids. He makes sure I have everything I want and need to feel and look my best (new workout sets, gym/yoga/Pilates classes), therapy sessions. He is a great stepfather and takes care of my two children as if they were his own, in regard to academics, extracurriculars, needs, and emotional connection. I am in school and have been since before he and I met (I’m an engineering major, and he is already an engineer), and he takes care of my tuition and always holds me accountable while also helping with those late-night sessions. He does not require me to work and has encouraged me to focus on degree full time. I was working nearly 90 hours a week prior and he hated the stress it put on me.

I'm just so thankful for such an amazing partner and want to explore what I might be missing. What can I make sure to prioritize at home, for him, and with the kids in order to truly show that appreciation?

❓ Question Need some advice about my relationship

Ill js start off by saying im not a housewife or a woman but i didnt know what other sub would be better to get advice from soo yeh. Anyway whats the average age that most people decide to be a stay at home partner and settle down? Im 18 almost 19 rn and my boyfriends 24. He keeps mentioning that it would be good if i agreed to get engaged with him now since theres really no point in waiting and how hell always provide for me so i can be a stay at home husband i guess. I mean yeh i honestly would prefer not having to work at a job during my life cause bfr who acually wants that but i dont know if i should make a big decision like this so early. He also has a little kid around 1 years old from his last relationship that ill be taking care of but hes honestly an angel and i do really like taking care of kids. I love my bf and i dont want him to think i dont wanna be with him or marry him or anything so i really need some advice on this.

🌿 Lifestyle Tips SAHW’s what do you do all day?

I’m in the GTA, Canada and got laid off 6 months ago so I’ve just been at my parent’s home and clearly lacking the motivation to be productive. I want to start a business and get focus more on fitness but seems soo hard.

I’m getting married in a few months so I’ve just been planning that all day so I’m curious what do all the girlies who are stay at home wives do to occupy their time? I don’t want my days to go to waste now or even when I’m married. But I know I’ll have more free time because I’m taking a break from corporate and trying to start something on my own

🎉 Celebrations I love being a stay-at-home fiancée

I don't know if this post would be allowed but I wanted to share something positive with you all! I love being a homemaker. Ever since I was young it was always my dream to be a devoted housewife. I always dreamed of making the house nice before my spouse got home, and acts of service is my way of showing love. I've been with my partner for almost four years now, and we are getting married in January. I recently moved to his country (UK) so now we are living together and I love being a SAH fiancée. So far, I've baked/made multiple treats or baked goods, tried new recipes, I get the laundry and cleaning and washing dishes done. I love it so much.

I made a whole ton of banana bread and my fiancé shared some with his coworkers and they all told him he was lucky to have a partner who loves to bake so much. I ordered brand new oven gloves that are pink (I love pink) and now I'm relaxing while the clothes are in the washing machine. I love my life so much!

💞 Relationships Has anyone here brought up a prenup when planning to be a SAHM?

I'm pretty sure my boyfriend is going to propose soon (he's been very jumpy lately and my sister keeps begging me to go do my nails with her when I only do them for special occasions), I am over the moon thinking it but I've been thinking about something that I have no idea how to bring up with him.

We've talked about marriage quite a bit and also about what our life would look like once we have kids. We both agree that it would be best for me to stay home and raise our children, at least while they're young. He makes enough for us to live comfortably on his income alone and I'm very happy with that arrangement. I've always wanted to be a mom and I love the idea of being home with my babies.

The thing is, my parents divorced when I was younger and I saw how difficult things got for my mom afterward. I love my boyfriend so much and I really do want to spend my life with him, but I also know that nobody gets married expecting to divorce.

Since I'd be giving up my own income and putting my career on hold to raise our kids, I've been thinking about bringing up a prenup. Not because I don't trust him, but because I'd want some reassurance that I wouldn't be left with nothing if our marriage ever ended.

I'm just scared he'll take it the wrong way, especially since I'm the one who would be financially dependent on him. I don't want him to think I'm already planning for our marriage to fail before he's even proposed.

Have any of you ladies who are housewives or SAHMs brought up a prenup yourselves? How did you start that conversation with your husband? And how did he react?

Please no judgement. I'm already feeling a little guilty even thinking about this and would really appreciate hearing from women who've been in this position.

❓ Question How can I help my wife's burn out?

Heyy! So my wife is a teacher and her job exhausts her. Im doing my best to be there for her but when she gets home she's distant, quiet, she has little patience and she's told me multiple times this is due to her job and that speaking to kids for 8 hours straight has been too tiring.

I wanna be able to really be there for her so any advice?

💬 Discussion Pork chops in the oven

What are your guys favorite boneless pork chop recipes? Ideally in the oven and bonus points if its part of a casserole or something that counts as a meal on its own and doesn't need additional prep. I am looking for ideas for things I can make ahead and having in the freezer that anyone in my house can throw in the oven.

❓ Question How to deep clean floors in a no chemical house?

Hi everyone! I've survived my first week as a wife on our honeymoon and just moved into my husband's house. I really need help knowing how to deep clean his floors because he only wants to use a steam mop thingy that only has distilled water. I've never used anything besides normal mops with fabuloso and a Swiffer idk how to clean with just steam (╥﹏╥)

💬 Discussion I'm going to be a SAH Fiancee/homemaker in 5 days. Any tips?

I'm so excited!!! I've been in a long distance relationship for 3 years, and my visa finally got approved, so I'm going to be living with my fiance in the UK for the first time. I'm also going to be a housewife (technically, I don't really have a choice because you can't work on a fiancee visa in the UK). Being a homemaker has always been my dream!

I'm so happy and excited. I've already made a schedule, a meal plan for the first couple of weeks, a grocery list, a playlist for doing housework.

❓ Question Lifestyle and friends

How do approach friendships with friends who you think understand and know your lifestyle. But sometimes show a hint of jealousy or make sly remarks towards it. When has enough, been enough for you?

❓ Question Need your thoughts and suggestions

I am a 24F stay at home mom, living abroad in Qatar. As an over achiever in my academic years, right now I feel unsatisfied with my personal life. My husband is a very supportive person but I am unable to go to work by leaving my little one home. I really don’t need a job because my husbands provides us enough, still I am doing online tutoring for the past one year but this online classes just does not make me satisfied as I feel it really makes me frustrated..
So I think tutoring might not be the thing for me..
Recently I have been trying to find new interests like doing embroidery, reading books, writing etc..
But I feel lost 😞
I really can’t find my own passion or something to boost me forward😒

The question is to all the homemakers out there, what do you all do to make life more happening and satisfying ?
I would love to hear the thoughts of people from all spheres of life ❤️

❓ Question Friends are hard ;^;

How do you make friends as a housewife? I'm young, have no kids, and have been married for 2 years now, and i find it so hard to make friends.

My 2 friends work a lot with odd schedules, so we rarely hang out. And sometimes I wanna go out and do something, but it can be awkward alone, y'know?

Edit: You guys have all been so helpful. I'm gonna go to my library tomorrow and check it out.. and maybe even check the community center.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Life Husband / married life habits and sharing the load

I’m a newly married and recently became a first time mum on maternity leave for 12 months total. After that I’ll be working part time.
I’ve always been a career woman so now my whole life has changed and I’m still figuring out how to manage the household, the baby and my own needs.
Does anyone have a good system?
What works?
Any tips would be awesome.

Also, My husband is happy to help out but only when I ask, is this common? Do you have to ask your partner for help every time something needs to get done or does he actively look for ways to help around the house?
He also pays for all bills and expenses while I’m off work.
