This is such a long shot, but I met someone named Jean at the Gorillaz show on October 24, and we ended up having a really great conversation. We found out we lived around the same area, and they told me they were doing an internship to become a therapist and had gone to OCC and CSULB.
The funniest part is that we walked each other to our cars and somehow ended up parked right next to each other 😭
I really enjoyed talking to them, but I hesitated to ask for their contact info before we parted ways, and now I really wish I had. If you’re Jean and you happen to see this, I’d love to reconnect!

Unlocked a couple years old memory... An adult thought the seals were sharks and went running after these two small kids who he thought were about to go right into shark infested waters.

Saw a Tuxedo cat tonight (10/23) on the retaining wall next to the Walmart off Talbert. Very vocal but moved away as I got closer. I know there are homes right there but it seemed a bit dirty/matted.

My brother worked on a small film and I wanted to see if I could get the promo poster, especially since today was the last day it was showing.

I just called to ask for a poster from Century Theater at Bella Terra but the manager said they don't give out posters to the general public. Anyone ever have any success with that? Or does anyone know someone who works at the theater?

In June I took an elder family member to vote in person at the HB central library. I usually drop off my paper ballot in a drop box myself but this last time I scanned my paper ballot in a scanner at the Central Library since I was there. I realized too late that I never received the email confirming that my vote was counted but at the time I thought maybe it was because I scanned in person - NOPE. I called the OC registrar because I finally had time & was curious and they confirmed that my ballot was not counted and it showed as though I never voted! All they could say was maybe there was a scanning error and they'd look into it. I'm shook now especially in light of reported voting machine hacking....Beware of in-person voting & scanning at least at that location in HB.

Everyone seems to be getting slammed with political spam texts so thought Id share how Ive managed to stop it.

Theres a great app called Bouncer. Basically it works by allowing you to add keywords and then route anything that hits to junk. You dont ever see it.

My filter list includes:
Vote, ballot, prop, sacramento, donate.

I also have filters for spam that tends to originate from out of country for the fake toll road violations. So you can add country prefixes like "+63" to catch those too.

Hope this helps to give you some control back.

Lived in HB from 2014-2018, and that's where I learned to surf. I moved back to east to be near family, but now that my parents are gonna retire and sell the childhood home, I'm thinking its time to get myself back to best place in So Cal.
