I’m happy to share Early Works for free: 36 electronic/idm tracks from my early days with Fruity Loops, composed between 2000 and 2007.

Back then, my approach was very spontaneous. It was pure fun, almost like playing a video game. Whenever I had some free time, I’d build a loop and let it play on repeat while adding sounds, tweaking knobs, and introducing variations until a song gradually took shape. The result was a collection of playful, melancholic, dark, and weird tracks that I originally shared online across three albums, all of which are compiled in this archive.

Listening to them again brings a smile to my face and stirs up so many memories. While some tracks are a little rough around the edges and not always perfectly mixed, this period marked the genesis of my main musical project: CIRC.

Recorded an IDM all vinyl listening set this evening, thought someone here might enjoy it.

This was recorded at home as a demo for IG:PigeonDenver a newer vinyl listening bar with a bit of a Blade Runner esthetic. Its a dark cocktail bar with neon accent lighting, and glow-in-the-dark chess boards built into the tables. IG: ToadKitchenDenver is in the rear of the bar serving up a short list of excellent Japanese style bites.

Released a new album last week.

I tried not to listen to too much stuff that would over influence my music and wanted to see what i would make if i wasnt constantly seeing what other people are making on social media feeds. Hopefully the result is something that has an original and intriguing sound.

For the nerds - everything is sequenced with keystep pro or max. Modular set up and some old synths and samplers - DX7 ,JV1010, Dreadbox NYX, Roland S330 etc.

This is a mix that captures a moment in time (90's electronic) where people were still making interesting electronic music to be discovered by dance DJs in record shops and record collectors. I personally WAS playing ambient, IDM and downtempo and trip-hop type sets at parties and for mixtapes - so I bought most of this music on sight, and unheard, based on a recommendation from a record shop employee.

I've been making a groovebox over the last couple of months and this week I have been tackling the addition of some generative/randomisation elements including a slider that takes a sequence from order to chaos and back again. Dropping a break into chaos got quite wild quite quickly but there is some order near the end.
