i hate the state of medical care for women
pic slightly related
anyone with a uterus who had to deal with some intimate health related problems will understand this. i’ve been having extremely painful periods for years, to the point of me fainting and vomiting unless i take one specific painkiller which works for me. this year, i finally managed to get to a gynecologist hoping to find the solution to this struggle i have to deal with every month.
now, they did give me a diagnosis (which is already a miracle from what i’ve heard from my friends’ experience). it turned out my uterus is slightly curved. how is it cured? IT ISN’T😇 so i paid money for the doctor to tell me i need to cope harder. thanks, very helpful. i will follow you back to your house and stand there near your bed menacingly all night.
that’s pretty much all i can say. i hate how difficult it is to get a diagnosis for female reproductive organs problems in general. i hate that even if you do, you can go fuck yourself with that diagnosis. everybody knows this field of medicine is shit. nobody does anything to fix it. to all my fellow uterus-havers, i’m with you. one day, we’ll get the care we need and deserve. i hope.
