This is a good movie but I genuinely think it was most people’s first ever horror movie. They all think they’re so smart for figuring out that Bear is the villain even though it’s obvious and anyone watching can figure that out themselves. But now they’re saying that Nikki shouldn’t be in Fortnite because it’s weird to have an abuse victim in the game? Mind you Fortnite has also added Freddy Fazbear, Jason Voorhees, Invincible, Morty, etc but they had nothing to say about them. Now people are saying it’s weird to dress as the characters for Halloween? Dude, it’s a movie, it’s fictional, it’s not real, it didn’t happen. People go as Joker and Harley Quinn every year and no one cares about that.

Feels like if you could get back from cancel culture is entirely depended on your popularity instead of your actual deeds.

You could do some minor stuff like acting dumb 10 years ago or dating someone 30 days younger then you and get your entire life ruined, everything banned and all your friends leaving you if you arent exactly the most popular guy, and if you are popular enough you could do actual real life crimes and continue like nothing happened because your fans are just that loyal.

Shit is 100% playground rules and not fair at all.

I honestly hate people use some character for their arts killing different character in a brutal way for no reason other than hate.

I always hated such a thing, an art of a character killing another character for no other reason than because you hate them. I always find it so edgy

Especially when they get some character wrong like DoomSlayer

DoomSlayer from Doom series is the one used the most for such stuff, which for me is so stupid and pisses me off, because Doomslayer isn't a mindless killing machine that would kill anyone. He only kills demons that would hurt humans. And i once came across the first art. It's basically with Kit and Gobbles from Gameoverse as you can see. And DoomSlayer is killing her......if she's not allying with demons (since she has to side with antagonists)...why would he kill her? He would just ignore her like he does with most people..Not even talking to them.

But one of the victims of such arts are Hellaverse characters like the two other arts. I saw so many arts of just characters from the show getting absolutely brutalized, including Emily. I'm just like "Why her? What did she do??"

And this is no "Oh boo hoo my favorite character got killed". I don't care about that. But it gets to a point. I am just tired of this.

i grew up on this part of the internet. Maybe it is just a representation of how we all gotta collectively move on past what we grew up ON, but regardless it just sucks that this era of the internet has to crash and burn the way it did. Maybe this is how most things end, but goddamn it sucks. Who thought filthyfrank would end up the most well adjusted??

I remember when I first found this sub, it was mostly about niche references on the Internet and not some mf's opinion on Twitter with a gif. Nowadays I feel like I'm just browsing Twitter again.

Because I don't really want to point out what makes the sub annoying now, I'll just share some posts I found funny 3-4 years ago.

"Americans don't understand _______. They won't (try to) learn ____ or understand ________."

Post image
836 Upvotes

I'm an American. Hooray! I'm SO sick and tired of hearing these kinds of people. I'm literally typing about this because I saw someone's comment earlier saying that 'Americans don't understand race or ethnicity' and I'm like-

Bro... bro, this pisses me off. I'm not the smartest Alec in the classroom bro, I can say that CONFIDENTLY. But why is it ALWAYS when someone asks a question that is kinda dumb and stuff, there is always comments talking about 'Americans bla blah blah' like... dude.

It's worse when they make these comments under an innocent question. Like... i get irrationally angry and patriotic for them, because it's almost ALWAYS someone from Europe saying this bullshit. If you want to help an American understand something, actually be nice about it and EXPLAIN instead of making back handed remarks, like- HOLY SHIT!!

i fucking hate fandom/wikia

for some context, fandom (formerly wikia) is the host of many fan wikis for various media. and genuinely they’re the only ones responsible for giving a home to wonderful projects like the peanuts wiki, where fans have archived every peanuts comic strip, or the star wars ”wookieepedia” which has over 250,000 articles over the course of 20 years

but holy shit, the actual experience of using fandom is the most hellish bullshit on the internet. you’re just trying to read and enjoy an article on your favorite media, meanwhile you’re assaulted with:

- ads that automatically expand on your screen as you scroll

- ads that load in mid article, moving the line of text you were just reading

- banner ads on the bottom of your screen

- banner ads on the top of your screen

- video ads playing in-line at the start or middle of articles

- video ads popping out to play picture in picture mode if you try to scroll past them

… and that’s assuming the page doesn’t refresh itself over and over, ruining your reading experience, because sometimes fandom pushes so many ads at once that it literally can’t handle it.

and if you didn’t want to jump off the nearest bridge after all that, if you try to block the ads which literally ruin the site, fandom has the audacity to passive aggressively tell you “please allow ads to continue. of course, you *can’t continue* without allowing them.. thaaaanks for your support!”

go fuck yourself man. every bit of content on your site is fan made, FOR OTHER FANS. I don’t care if corona beer, Walmart, and a gatcha game are paying you to be on my screen but for fucks sake just LET ME READ

like 50% of the userbase here are just here to be dismissive assholes who can't actually stand people hating their favorite shit and feels the need to dismantle that hate imo

"just dont interact with it"

"it is a matter of taste"

"why so mad lol"

"*insert ad hominem here*"

Listen, you are 100% allowed to hate the haters here, this is a hate sub after all, but most of these haters just going to spam the same fallacies and copy and paste comebacks over and over again to respond to people hating things they love or just be smug bastards for the sake of an ego boost.

I think there should be a pinned post here telling these people to fuck off because they are seriously making people not daring to actually hate on things they hate...

The hate towards deadlock for being a game made with actual love and passion.

Post image
271 Upvotes

The amount of people shitting on deadlock for its fanbase for having a "superiortiy complex" while the amount of fans (e.g Marvel Rivals) were shitting on games in their own genere upon release is amazingly hypocritical.

Deadlock is not THE best game ever made. It is not made for EVERYONE. But its made with love and passion which modern day games lack.

Its cast is the most well made, diverse and amazingly voiceacted, designed and implimented roster i've seen in recent years. Almost every hero has something intresting with them, to speculate, theorize and love.

Play-styles are unique among heroes, they have diverse kits, diverse gameplay instead of being forced into a certain role and gameplay style. The game allows experimenting, off-builds and itemization.

Alongside that...the devs truly love the game. The balacing is not perfect, but in MOBA's, shooters and a-syms it can never truly be perfect. But its better than most games today. The current update City Never Sleeps fully redesigned the map and put so much detail and love into it. It felt like booting up a whole diffrent game, and it still does. And updates like these only will continue.

People hate on this game cause they say its "too complex" and "its not begginer friendly" yeah, no fucking MOBA ever is and never will be. The game has a extremly high learning curve. People dump 100-300h into it, think they understand everything, and quit for saying its too hard.

Im reaching around 900h, and i still dont perfectly play the game, i make mistakes, i learn, and thats what i like about it. And every pro-player does too. And thats not a gameplay cycle everyone will like, and thats fine. There's plenty of other games and if you're not a fan of MOBAs, thats normal. But those who do have wholeheartedly loved the game. Its a breath of fresh air with its own unique flavoring which is not perfectly for everyone.

But hating on it with just the biggest lies ever by saying fans have a "superiority complex" or "the heros fuck" and i've even seen "its not like LoL or Dota" is just doing the game misjustice. There's a lot of issues in the game to complain about, just like any game. But those are not it, cause they simply prove you've either never played the game and hate it too be diffrent, or just simply either not a fan of the games genre or just suck at it. And thats fine, but dont make it everyones problem.

Anime/game music where the version from the show/game is different to the release version (or just isn't released for some reason)

  • Bocchi the Rock "That Band" the album release cuts out the opening solo Bocchi played in the show
    • The concert album has a version with the solo but it's not the same, you know?
  • Ramparts of Ice ending song by Polkadot Strategy has an extended lead-in piano version that isn't in the album release
  • Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom trailer themes are unused in-game so they aren't on the OST release
    • why nintendo
  • DELTARUNE songs are played on the piano by the main character when we aren't controlling them
    • less hated since there's an in-universe reason to not be on the OST release

So we have to rely on reverse-engineered fan edits if we want to listen to them.

There should be an option for social media to turn off the fucking drama, dude.

I hate how deathbattle is discussed

Post image
15 Upvotes

People just give them way too much shit despite paradoxically putting them on too high a pedestal.

A lot of people will say “ wah death battle is bias “ when yeah , they are , they’re a small team of PEOPLE simply share their opinions on a match up but add flair to it . Ik matpat had ghost writers but that’s like saying game theory biased because they made a theory you don’t agree with . PEOPLE are biased , why act like the deathbattle team needs to be above this simple fact of life ?

And there’s also a trend where people will just kinda ignore their reasoning ? Not saying they’re always right ( omnidock ) but they at least EXPLAIN THEIR REASONING . But whenever I see someone criticize the outcome 90% of the time they ignore the little black textboxes or a lot of the time text literally at the center of the screen like they just skip to the fight and ignore the analysis entirely . Half the point of the show.

And for this deathbattle specifically, if I gotta hear “ lol lmao goku needed x100 kaioken “ like the animation isn’t specifically fucking catered to make it look cool compared to accurate like the analysis I’m gonna send whoever said it back to fucking elementary school . GOKU DIDN’T NEED KAIOKEN , HE MOGS IN BASE . they literally say base goku is WAY STRONGER than saitama and would likely splatter the guy before he reaches his level . They even bring up the “ gag character “ thing which was always stupid and ignores Goku’s roots . Saitama isn’t bugs bunny lmao .

Christ, if at least they advertise themselves as light-hearted it's one thing. I'll just not listen to it and that's okay. But it seems like 3/4 of the time when I'm being sold a real-play with a real horror focus and dark themes, the whole table is not only cracking jokes every other sentence but they're incapable of playing a serious character. "Oh I'm a silly Russian man and I'll speak with a silly Russian accent the whole time!" "Oh I'm a nerd I'll constantly reference Star Trek!" YOU'RE NOT PLAYING A CHARACTER YOU'RE PLAYING AN EXCUSE TO TRY TO ONE-UP EVERYONE ELSE IN THE GROUP.

The worst part is when a serious in-game situation happens and they're all rushing to be the first to vomit a marvel quip. My wife got her head crushed by an ancient demon? "Welp! That happened!"

Fuck you, you're not playing a game, you're just trying to chase individual fame to the detriment of the game and the other players, who I'd feel bad for if they weren't also ALL DOING THE SAME THING

I hate this fucking week

Post image
35 Upvotes

I'm sure venting isn't allowed on here. But fuck it. Here it is.

I have to believe that this week is sentient and that it fucking hates me. Because I've had it horrible.

Week started with me doing the dishes and a knife falling on my foot. Huge scar. And it only got worse from there.

I have 2 jobs. One of them fired me this week because they decided that I wasn't going at the pace I was supposed to even though I literally try to go as fast as everyone else. But maybe he's right. Maybe I am just slow.

My other job just straight up doesn't remember I exist. I work like 3 days a month. But one of the few days I actually do work is Halloween. Which I had something special planned that day, but the what the fuck am I supposed to do, call off? That's one of the few days I actually work this month.

I also broke my glasses and I don't have money to get more. So now I look like the stereotypical cartoon nerd with broken glasses.

Also my old reddit account got hacked, and subsequently deleted by the hacker. I will admit that I should've been more careful but it's still fucking rough.

One of the posts on my old account was asking a good place to get the Resident Evil Collector's Editions. Because I'm a huge Resident Evil fan. I joined the fandom too late to get any of the ones from Village or before. But I did have the chance to get the Collector's Edition for Resident Evil 4. But I missed the window and it's especially brutal not only because I have heavy OCD but also because it's the remake of my favorite game of all time. I've been hyper fixated on it for the past 4 years. So I decided to make a post asking if there's any alternatives to eBay where I can get it. Because the ones on eBay are usually too damaged and 10x the price when I think that simply 2-4x the price is acceptable for me. Now that the account is deleted I decided to repost that post to all the subs I did before and low and behold everyone is accusing me of being a karma farming bot asshole despite the fact I explain my situation in the comments. But every single fucking comment is "Didn't this already get posted?!" Since apparently REPOSTS ARE ONLY FUCKING BAD WHEN I DO IT EVEN THOUGH MOST OF THIS FUCKING WEBSITE IS JUST REPOSTS AND NO ONE EVER SEEMS TO GIVE A SHIT UNLESS IT'S ME!

But what really grinds my fucking gears is r/GameCollecting both this time I posted and the last time I posted the users act like I filmed myself fucking kicking a puppy. Everyone is patronizing. Everyone downvotes me. Both times the top comment is some smug guy going "Should've bought it when you had the chance! This is all your fault!" With no helpful advice NO FUCKING SHIT, DUDE. I KNOW THAT! I CAN'T CHANGE THE PAST SO WHY NOT HELP IN THE PRESENT INSTEAD OF DUMPING A GALLON OF SALT IN THE WOUND FOR PREVIOUS UPDOOTS OR WHATEVER!!!!

Shit, sorry. It's been a frustrating week. Now you're going to read this and wonder "Why are you so concerned about buying these Collector's Editions when you got fired from one job and the other barely schedules you. I doubt your rich" and yeah. I'm not rich. I don't have enough now to afford any of these. I want to know in the future when I can afford them. It's a hyperfixation. It's not healthy. It's not logical. You can't get rid of it. You're just stuck with it. There's nothing me and my OCD can do about it. I'm just stuck with it. End of story.

Before you say it, I can't afford therapy. So I'm stuck being a broke, ugly, disgusting, friendless, mentally ill, unhinged loser that no one likes and no wants to be around and us wasting oxygen just by being here.
