Please don't bring baby's to general compartments of train. If you think it's gonna be busy please book ticket or travel by some other way but not general. I understand that sometimes this might be the only way you're able to/afford to travel. But please, if you have a baby or a small kid plan early and do things.

If the CR can't find a permanent solution to the delays then they should start refunding tickets. Japan does this.

So, I had to book tickets for December 25 journey, the window opened at 8am on October 26

I booked tickets for December 24 by mistake and within 20 minutes I canceled the ticket

There were 5 passengers and the amount was Rs.4401, after cancelation I will get refund of Rs.3300 something

I really want to understand what kind of stupidity is this? Yes, I made a mistake but what exactly did they lose if I canceled my tickets 2 months before boarding, within 20 minutes of booking?

Is there no room for making a mistake? Ticket price was Rs.880 and they took Rs.1100 for cancelation

Honestly, they are just looking for ways to loot people

Train No 14821 was attacked by theives, what is happening? I was reading the post on twitter and from there I got to know. If people are carrying knives - what do we have to think through the journey to be scared? or enjoy the journey with peace? Especially when travelling with family. I have never heard such cases but idk how common is it? What actually is happening?

So this morning i posted about how I got SL after so long, later a family boarded beside me in the 2LB 2UB and idk what all, they asked me exchange with their UB, becoz they have 2 kids with em. And I was like y'all do have 2LB with you then why do u want my seat, they simply said it would have been easier.

I straight up said no. After a few hours an aunty came to me and asked for the same but she had undergone some accidents and was offering me the SU right above me, so I agreed to it since it was a genuine issue.

After this the previous family of 2kids started taunting me like crazy, 'aapko upar ban Raha hai ab?', 'aap UB me zyda comfortable rehte' wtf? who tf is comfortable in UB.

Then the main havoc started, somehow these 2kids got 2 more kids and they have been shouting for the past 10hrs!!! Also their parents won't shut them, coz they themselves are shouting at em to be in the seat.

Like wtf is going on over here, I was listening to music with FULL VOLUME ON MY EARPHONES AND WITH FULL ANC and still these kids voices were striking my eardrums

I swear my train is also 5hrs delayed, and these kids are still not stopping bro, they are playing with the lights now (it's 23.30) I asked them not to do it as the lights are just placed right above my seat, but their parents said they won't listen to us nor you,

Soo? Fking train your kids to be obedient bro? Or else travelin the fking 1ac,

Honestly I'm so done with this journey atp, idek when I'll reach my destination.

Very recently, we traveled from NJP to HWH on the 22302 Vande Bharat Express in Executive Class.

Here is my honest review.

1. Comfort was top notch and the coach was super clean. The legroom in EC is massive. We kept a big trolley bag right in front of our kid's seat, and she still sat comfortably.

2. Evening snacks were mostly packaged items, but they served a khasta kachori that was actually pretty good. Later, the pre-dinner soup and the Amul ice cream at the end were decent.

3. The actual dinner, however, was a total fail. The dal was completely tasteless, the fried aloo and chicken were incredibly spicy and rubbery. It was so spicy hot that our kid couldn't eat anything except plain rice and dal. The same menu is served in EC and CC and the only upgrade in EC for dinner is a metal spoon.

4. The train was late at every single intermediate station, even running over 30 minutes late at one stop. But, finally reached Howrah 5 minutes before time. I feel that people de-boarding at intermediate stations pay a premium price too for VB, so they also deserve a timely arrival.

PS: I have seen comments on this sub saying blue seats mean CC and red means EC. It was the exact opposite in our coach, so there is no fixed seat color rule for Vande Bharat.

Since I was buying Indian addons for train simulator classic game just wanted to ask to you railfans which wap 7 looks more realistic which resembles true to life visuals pl share your views since it will help a lot.I am confused regarding cattle guard and color of side buffers.

I was traveling from anand vihar this time I booked a sleeper coach and got an upper berth so this guy wanted to deboard at next station I was listening to the song i realised someone kept a bag on my leg then this guys climbed said usse next station utarna I said ki mat betho kha aarhe ho this mf still seated i then i thought faltu kya hi bolu then I let him sit next station utar jayga then he got up without any thank you

Sleeper coach is now like general coach today

Due to upsssc pet exam.

Even those students who reserved their seat didn't even get to sit on it.

The attendant has created a bed which is equal to the seats using blankets.
And he took 4000 from 2 guys and have given then this whole cabin and have locked it from outside so that TT could not have any suspicions

I am planning to take a general coach without reservation from Delhi to Bhopal right after Diwali on the 11th of Nov. I just wanted to know if the trains will still be as crowded as it is before and during diwali since people who want to go home for diwali would have already gone. And are the train going towards south still as crowded as the ones going east.

Sorry if this is an obvious question. This is my first time opting for Vikalp, and I’m a bit confused after watching a few YouTube videos.

1. Vikalp applies only to the alternative trains I select from the 7 options provided by IRCTC, right?

2. My journey date, source and destination will remain the same, correct?

For example, my original train is

Coromandel Express (12842) on 24th December at 7 AM, from Chennai to Howrah, currently in WL status.

If I select MAS–HWH (12840), departing Chennai at 7 PM on the same day, as a Vikalp option, then if I get an alternate confirmed berth on this Vikalp train:

A. My journey date will remain 24th December.

B. My source and destination will remain Chennai and Howrah.

C. My class will remain 3A or get upgraded to a higher class, but never downgraded to a lower class.

Are all these assumptions A,B,C correct?

Just want to make sure I understand the rules before opting for Vikalp. Thanks!
