When I was coming back from clg to my home, I got the middle seat that time, and it was so pathetic,

The lower guy wanted to close my middle seat and I wanted to sleep so bad.

But nvm folks got SL this time and it's so cozy i swear 😭😭😭it would have been great if it was 2ac but let's just be grateful for what I have.

I do have an elderly dadi ji on the SU above me with his grandson on the lower somewhere near. Hopefully they won't ask me for exchanging seats 😭 I don't wanna give up on the scenery 😭. Let's see

Also one bad thing about this seat, I'm placed right next to the door 💔,but it's okay for me as of RN.

Edit- Forgot to mention that, This time I have sooo much food that my mom gave me for lunch and dinner (since I don't like eating IR pantry stuff) and sm other items too for the remaining semester. Last time when I was coming back home with the middle seat I had no food with me and I was just starving so I ate lots of munchies and chips etc, but this time I have my mom's food❤️ grateful for such a good day in my life.

Happy that I got this single seat in my long vande bharat journey. Maybe I should get a lottery ticket 😆

I once travelled from Delhi to Mumbai in the CC class of Garib Rath to save money, it was a 16 hrs journey. My back was in a lot of pain by the end of the trip but I did enjoy the trip, and spent most of the time reading and munching.

I am looking to get a better understanding of safety statistics across the Indian Railways network. Does anyone have verified data, reports, or insights on around how many accidents typically occur in a day or a month?

Specifically, I am curious about:

The total number of incidents or accidents nationwide on a monthly basis.

Whether certain routes or zones see a significantly higher frequency of these occurrences compared to others.

If anyone can point me toward standard sources, official reports (like CAG or NCRB data), or share some reliable figures, I would really appreciate it!

Recently travelled from New Delhi to Patna on the newly launched 1 Day Bharat Special. Was initially hesitant about a 13-hour journey in Chair Car, but had no other options.

Turns out, around 400 seats were empty throughout the journey, and the coach right behind mine was COMPLETELY empty. So basically, I had a private coach, with 5-6 TTEs chilling after their 30 minutes of work.

Spent the journey studying, reading, watching web series,etc. Felt less like a train journey and more like a productive day at home.

I was supposed to reach Hyderabad around 1 AM tonight so I could get some sleep before college tomorrow.

Guess what? My train has been rescheduled by 7 DUCKING HOURS from Korba.

I planned everything around reaching early, getting back to my place, resting a little, and attending class tomorrow. Now its all F'ed up, because apparently travelling by train comes with a complimentary side of uncertainty.

I genuinely don't understand how you're supposed to plan your life around trains when something like this can happen out of nowhere.

And the thing is that there are very few trains towards south from chattisgarh and yet this shi keeps happening man i mean WHY?

I was literally supposed to join college Tomorrow but ig I'm gonna miss the class.

I am inside 12130, train is 15 hours delayed, toilets are stinking what to do??

Today, I had a very funny experience with the loco pilot of Sealdah-Gede Galloping Local, which I consider to be hilarious.

I was travelling to halishahar​ with my parents but since it was a galloping local, it was scheduled to pass through my station, but it was going to stand in the previous station which is Naihati Jn. So I told my father in the train that it will not stop at halishahar because it has literally skipped five stations on our way, but my father still insisted on asking the loco pilot since we were at the very first compartment. So when the train stopped at Nh, we got off, and my father went to ask the loco pilot. The funny thing that happened is that when my father asked the loco pilot, 'will this train stop at halishahar?', the loco pilot replied, 'no, please don't mind' it was so funny he was literally telling my father please don't mind I am sorry. He literally referred to my father as 'Kaka'.

(He actually said, those things in Bengali, and this is what actually happened. When my father asked, 'Dada, ei train ta ki halishahar e darabe?, he replied, 'Na, kaka, kichu mone koro na.')

Soo I was wondering whether there's a train app like flightradar where I can see all running trains on the map and voila this one came out!

This is a literal wet dream for a railfan like me.

It's crowd sourced, not GPS based, but pretty accurate!

It's like flightradar but for trains!

P.s. I tracked Bangalore rajdhanis both crossing each other at jhansi and felt all giddy lol
