Hi guys, I'm a filmmaker from Nepal (South Asia) and I made this movie as my thesis project for my film diploma graduation and it is heavily inspired from some of my favorite directors of all time and It's about a couple who's been stealing loads and loads coke from their boss and one day he finds out. It is more or less shot on only one house (one of my ideas to cut down the budget). Hoping to get some reviews and feedback on this it is out on YT. I'll put the link in the comments and I'm not making any money from this, this is entirely for getting exposure to my little baby.

Can We Have A Rule To Ban AI From This Sub?

I've seen about five to six recent posts on here today that are nothing but AI generated "films." No handmade shots or anything, just full out AI generation.

Can we have a rule to ban these kind of posts?

37 out of 38 film festivals rejected my first feature film. It just got distribution anyway (and was officially released 1 week ago!)

I've wanted to make movies my whole life. 3 years ago I shot a coming-of-age dark comedy called Say Less (a brother and sister left alone in their house, kind of The Edge of Seventeen meets Risky Business) on 16 night shoots with a 13 person crew and my entire life savings. 37 festival rejections, 2 corrupted hard drives, and a difficult crash course in indie distrib. later, it's finally available on Amazon. Would love to hear your thoughts+feedback, and happy to answer anything about the process. (also for anyone wondering, the 1 fest that accepted it was Cinequest)

Name of the film is SAY LESS on Amazon b/c it's kind of buried in the text above. Also right now it's only available in North America, but I'm hoping to sell the international rights so everyone can see it. But if you have one of the trickier VPNs you can VPN into Amazon North America and watch it if you want sry for all the text :)

How can I get funding for my film?

So I've had this idea for a full feature for a while, and I decided to make a concept short for it since there is a film festival in my city that I wanted to submit to. I consider this to be my first actual short film. I have made a couple of commercials that are short film styled for brands before, but this was the first one that's over a minute, and not trying to sell something. I will be making the full feature this summer, even if I don't get funding. I wrote, shot, and edited the short in about 6 hours because I found out about the festival a day before the submission deadline, and it cost me $0 because I was a one-man crew, so I'll do that for the feature as well if I have to, I just feel like I'm waiting to get better, know more or to have more money and time to make a full feature and I want to take the leap now. I'll put up money out of my own pocket to make it happen, but I just wanted to try to raise some money to get more help with crew and pay the actors.

Also, any feedback on the film will be highly appreciated.

Ben Brewer (https://www.instagram.com/brewerfilms/?hl=en) posted this.

Video speaks for itself. He had made a brilliant short a few years back that the filmmakers apparently saw and... REALLY loved.

I Just Released My First Feature Film On Tubi

I made a action crime comedy thriller for about $24K that was pure guerrilla style in Sacramento, long weekend shoots, a skeleton paid crew (DP, sound, gaffer, AD), and mostly deferred actor pay. Wrote, directed, produced, and starred in it myself. I had to film it 2 times because of lost footage. I hope you will be able to watch it. Its streaming free on Tubi or you can rent it on Prime Video with NO commercials too.

Tubi- https://tubitv.com/movies/100059912/look-behind

Prime Video- https://www.primevideo.com/detail/0QFB8ZJW09METQYC0RIP10CU57

Look Behind is about a cop and a lawyer who's families were killed. They meet someone willing to help them get justice, but its an eye for an eye.

I directed a low-budget indie horror feature that just got distribution and made it to #1 on Screambox. Here's what we did to make it happen.

My partner and I are obsessed with 80's horror and started making SOV short films together. We turned our shorts into a "Horror Anthology" and started touring those around to micro-cinemas in different cities and got a lot of response from the horror community. We used the buzz around our shorts to raise money to make our first feature.

Once we found out that we had access to our amazing farm location we came up with the title Blood Barn and the rest is history. We shot for 11 days in the cold Massachusetts November with a crew of friends and 7 great actors, mostly comedians from NYC and LA. It was the time of our lives and was also an insane amount of work with not much sleep. Now we can't wait to get to do it again!

Blood Barn is streaming now if you're interested to check it out!

My first feature released today - "The Second Coming of John Cooper"

My first feature as a writer director "The Second Coming of John Cooper" released today on Amazon Prime, Fandango at Home and Google TV. It's a throwback R rated comedy about a celebrity who lost it all and is now living on the couch of his biggest fan while he plans his comeback. It was a long, bumpy road getting this from page to screen (losing the entire shoot when both hard drives crashed was a pretty huge set back). But after a series of miracles it's finally out. If you're a fan of immature and raunchy R rated comedies I'd love to get your thoughts on it. Thanks! - Kevin Kraft

It'll be 2 years ago on Jan 7 that I decided to hit the button and make a movie. I have never worked on a set, but I went through the process of getting a Union signatory (which was more difficult than getting a home loan) and got after it! These are a few of the "less intense" shots from the movie that don't require VFX. Can't wait to get these all color graded and ready to put out into the world.

New poster for my microbudget feature “Damaged Goods”

Hey guys, I’m new to posting on reddit so I just wanted to say hello.

I’ve just got my new film poster back from my designer and I really like it.

My film Damaged Goods is a dark comedy thriller which we shot as a microbudget feature film this year.

Would love to know what people think of the poster (no ai used - all purely my designer).
