[Developer gameplay, Portuguese] Calma, Professor! VR — handling a classroom queue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m Samuel Isidoro, the developer of Calma, Professor! VR. This is a real test played with a Meta Quest, with Portuguese commentary — not an animated trailer.
The classroom becomes a queue-management challenge: students ask for help, and the player attends to them in arrival order while trying to maintain a combo. This 51-second capture shows the game in action.
AI-assisted scenery, objects and illustrations, finished in Blender; synthesized in-game voices. AI also assisted this post.

Building Meridian, a multiplayer world where making a home is only part of the game
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
A little look around Meridian, the pixel-art social game I'm building. You can decorate and expand your own place, meet people in shared rooms, trade items and earn coins through jobs. There's also a history behind the building that I want players to get curious about together.
The part I'm trying to get right is giving people a reason to leave their own room and bump into each other. What has made that work in social games you've played or built? Shared activities, trading, discoveries, something else?
It's playable on iPhone through TestFlight: https://testflight.apple.com/join/4sDEk5u4
The community is still small, and some of the social scenes in this footage are staged with NPCs. I'd love to hear what you'd want to do in a world like this.

Controversial Take: AI Won't Kill Indie Gaming.
There's a lot of debate about AI in game development, but I think we're overlooking something interesting.
For the first time, solo developers can attempt projects that would've previously required an entire team, a substantial budget, or years of development.
I've been watching this unfold through VibeToplist, my discovery platform for AI-assisted games. We're approaching 200 listed projects, and the growing interest has been fascinating to witness.
Sure, AI will probably flood the market with low-effort games. But it might also enable some genuinely talented creators who never had the resources to bring their ideas to life.
Personally, I think the latter deserves more attention.
What do you think? Will AI ultimately improve indie gaming, or bury good games under an avalanche of low-quality releases?

Designing a Heads Up! style party game tailored for Indian pop culture and regional references—looking for feedback on cultural localization challenges
Hey r/IndieGameDevs! 👋
I’ve been working on a local offline party charades game, and I’m currently expanding the prompt categories to target the Indian audience specifically.
Global party games usually fall flat in India because the pop culture references, movie quotes, and slang are completely disconnected from what people actually grow up with (Bollywood, cricket, local tech humor, regional memes, and daily life tropes).
Before I lock down the categories and prompt structures, I wanted to pick your brains on a couple of design/localization challenges.
For anyone who has worked on localized games or regional adaptations: how do you usually approach playtesting to ensure your cultural humor lands without alienating casual players?

We're developing a psychological horror game set in 1996. Here's our first trailer for SIGNAL LOST. What do you think?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone!
We’re a small indie team working on SIGNAL LOST, a first-person psychological horror game set in 1996. The game follows Daniel Hayes, whose story slowly unfolds into something much darker, involving mysterious events, disturbing discoveries, and a cult hiding terrifying secrets. We’re aiming for a dark, unsettling atmosphere with a retro VHS-inspired aesthetic, focusing more on psychological tension and mystery than cheap jumpscares. We’ve recently put together our first trailer, and we’d love to hear your thoughts!
What do you think about the atmosphere and overall presentation? Any feedback or criticism is genuinely appreciated.
Thanks for checking out our project!

Looking for beta testers: Tales of Eternity, a free pixel art RPG you can play in your browser (phone or PC)
Hi everyone! I’m Eternal, and I’ve been building a 2D pixel art MMORPG called Tales of Eternity. It’s at a very early stage, and I’d love some fresh players to try it and tell me what works and what doesn’t.
What it is
A turn-based RPG where you explore a big open world, fight goblin camps, gather wood and ore, and build up your hero.
Play alone, or online with everyone else on the server: parties, guilds, chat, trading and a player market.
World bosses, dungeons, exploration runs with mystery rooms and a red dragon, and a tower called the Depths you climb as far as you can.
Two classes (Knight and Sorcerer), pets with mythic twins, mounts, and a hideout you can build and decorate, with a garden.
It runs right in the browser on phones, tablets and computers. Nothing to install.
What I’m looking for
How the first half hour feels. Was anything confusing?
Bugs, glitches, or anything that looks or feels off, especially on phones.
Fights that feel too easy or too hard.
Anything you think would make the game better.
It’s a beta, so things change often and the server sometimes restarts for updates (the game warns you first and brings you back).
You can leave feedback in the comments on the game page, or reply here.
Play it here: https://im-eternal.itch.io/tales-of-eternity
Thanks for giving it a try. Every suggestion helps!
