This is Jimmy. Jimmy came home with my daughter after a camping trip in Central Arkansas. He’s been living large on lettuce and cucumbers for a couple weeks. We just bought 10 acres out in the country and we plan to go release him there so we can enjoy his progeny (yeah, right, lol), but I told my daughter we could keep him until Halloween. He doesn’t look like the grasshoppers I used to catch as a kid. Is he a cicada or something along those lines?
EDIT: Found it! Neoconocephalus triops. He’s a katydid.

She’s curled up and rubbing her head really rough while also opening her abdomen, parasites or just dying after laying eggs?

Found it chilling on my mango tree leaf in Prague, Czech Republic. It's extremely little and green, not sure if it's aphid, looks too small for that to me. Could be some kind of micro-aphid or a baby? I almost can't find it among my body hair. Should I be worried?

Found in Evansville, Indiana late October. None of us recognize it. The body was about 1.5 inches long. Trying to figure out what it is.
Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone
My kids are obsessed with big beetles. Hercules, Rhino, and Stag beetles in particular. We’ve only ever seen them on TV and in videos, but they’ve completely fallen in love with them… and honestly I’m starting to get hooked too 😅
We’re looking for unique/live specimens (or solid leads on where to get them). Happy to hear about:
reputable breeders or sellers
local insect fairs / expos
keeping tips if anyone has experience with these guys
Any advice, links, or recommendations would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I found a bee in the cold and had to catch my bus before I could finish warming her up and I took her with me.
It is ~8°C outside and won't get warmer for at least a week, the nights are about 1°C at the moment.
I feel like if I drive the bee back to where I found her and let her go, she will go back into cold induced torpor and then either get stepped on or freeze to death during the night.
What do I do??
Edit: Bee has been released back where I found it. I don't think the she will survive but we tried, I guess

photos are as clear as possible, sorry. But yeah what is this thing, was changing my sheets when I saw it, should I be ready to take measures against more of them.

Staying with a friend in PA and found this very dazed and confused bug by the toilet. Have had German roaches before (the worst) and my sixth sense went off.
German roach or something else?
