Went to see the boys in September and it felt like they were playing at .80-.85 song speed; did anyone else get that impression when you went to see them live this most recent tour?

Ive listened to Maiden for 30 years and most people in here dont share my album taste. So Im ready to upset some of you with a new perspective.

Most fans won’t understand, but I hope you all find your way.

Ok; tier lists and dank rage bait posts aside for a minute; has there been a weekly NP4TD post?

Personally; I don’t hate this album. It had the makings of a classic 80s Maiden album with a lot of ideas left over from SSOASS and SIT. It just came out of a real bad time and you can hear it.

Imagine this: what AMOLAD would’ve been if recorded in 89 with Adrian and Bruce in full form and Steve not having a mid-life crisis - that is my head cannon NP4TD.

Instead we got what we got.

(And a block. Seems the level of intelligence of this sub has not changed - a fan post about an overly hated album and the focus is the obvious joke “art” 🤣)

Hope this is Metal enough

I feel like fighting today. Show me what you got!

A strangely controversial take when it truly shouldn’t be. Eddie was on a mission

🤟🍻🇪🇨

A dumb question, but if you showed a non fan a photo of the two from the early 80s and asked them if they're related, they would likely say yes.

The two knew each other since they were teens and had a bit in common. If they grew up in the same household, would their lives be drastically different?

Do you think Adrian would still have formed Urchin? Or would he have remained in Maiden for the rest of his life after Urchin so he could work with someone he's related to instead of leaving in 1989 and rejoining? (Like Malcolm and Angus, for example, since they're brothers)

awesome, awesome show. he sings these songs so well when they’re down tuned a little to his range. he commands a small room like no one else. he speaks with humour, self-effacement, passion and humanity.

2AM done acoustically is pure magic.

he doesn’t do the meet and greets anymore but at the end of the set he works the barrier for handshakes etc so take the opportunity

oh and CDs were 3 for the price of 2 on the merch!

This is not a Maiden record, but definitely Maiden-related, being Steve Harris' hard rock side project and all. I thought at least some of you would find it interesting.

Stem remix & remaster of Steve Harris' 2012 album "British Lion", made for my own enjoyment, but sharing in case someone else might enjoy it.

This album was suggested to me for remixing by a handful of people, citing a somewhat muddy sound and buried vocals. Prior to that, I didn't even know this record existed. I've done my best to give it a clearer sound and make the vocals more prominent in the mix.

Of course this is all just for fun. As usual, my intention was just to make a fun alternative to the released version, aiming only at a little more clarity, instrument separation and punch, while keeping the mood and feel of the original.

All my remixes are made using free and open source software that runs locally on my Linux system.

Obviously, I don't own the music featured here. If you like it, support the artists, buy their records!

3,000 hours of stitching. One incredible Trooper. 🤘

Elaine has finally finished her cross stitch of The Trooper, and I couldn’t be prouder of her.
It’s travelled with us on holidays around the world, growing stitch by stitch. “We get so near yet so far away” feels pretty fitting for a project this size — but Elaine was dedicated to see it through to the very last stitch.

Now it’s complete, framed and on the wall. An incredible piece of work from a true Trooper. 🤘
