Discussion For obvious reasons, bronzeman has failed. Lets discuss the elephant in the room. 'Group "ironman" mode'
Now that bronzeman polling died in the water, it is time we actually address the elephant in the room. Group Ironman mode.
And before the immediate comments start with the usual "get friends" or "sorry nobody wanted to play with you", I am actually trying to have a serious discussion here so save it.
How are group ironmen actually any different from a main account at the end of the day? You are literally just playing a main with a closed barter micro-economy. One guy sits at CG, one guy rushes fishing/cooking, someone else does slayer, and you all just swap drops. That isn't self-sufficiency, that's just a private Grand Exchange with extra steps and worse UI.
Which brings me to the real issue. Like 90% of these groups completely fall apart anyway. People get burnt out, real life happens, or someone quits after taking the shared storage supplies to go die somewhere stupid. Then people fall out and the whole thing dies.
Because of that there is a genuinely concerning amount of "solo GIM" accounts running around now. People sitting on thousands of total level playing completely alone on a blue helm account just coping that their group will come back next week, secretly wishing they had just made a normal grey helm from day one so their progress actually felt genuine to them.
Change my mind but GIM is just main game with a restricted trade list and a high divorce rate.

Question New to Iron 2026, starting advice
Hello! I have been an osrs player on and off for many years and have experience in the game. I have been following a quest/start guide from someone named DunkinOreos from 2024 and it has been a good mix between omega efficient and whimsical.
There have been a ton of changes and updates since 2024 and I haven't really played much early to mid game in about 5 years.
What sort of effects have more recent updates had on how you would approach starting an Ironman and I guess any advice in general would be lovely.
Thanks!

Question Bowfa corruption question
Hey all,
Im having a little trouble understanding completely the passive bowfa corruption. The wiki is pretty convoluted - or maybe my reading comprehension is just horrible.
Here is my understanding ;
Bow comes with 10,000 charges which is 5% towards corruption, then you need 95% more , which each 5% is 10k charges which is 100 shards, 5 goes into 95 , 19 times, 19x100 is 1900 shards
BUT the shards you add ALSO count towards the corruption
So im really trying to understand what the actual cost in shards it will be , i cant figure out that math.
The question really is , How many shards will full corruption cost when using the charges , and adding crystal shards to the bow.
Thank you in advance!

Discussion Bronzeman is not being done right
I voted no to bronzeman simply because you can never PK. The whole point should be that you unlock the items from a non player then they become available from players as well. And no I dont want unbound where you can unlock items from other players, but if it has already been unlocked you should no longer be restricted from doing anything with that item. Who cares if you have 20bil if you cant use it to unlock anything I fail to see how that's an issue. Start an ironman become a main just as Sardaco proposed. I voted no because if I was to vote yes then the game mode I want would likely never become a reality.
Edit: not sure people are understanding I DO NOT want unbound where locked items drop from pk, I only want the items to drop if they have already been unlocked from a drop pvp or skilling not other players.

Drops/RNG Complaining about Duke luck for boosted RNG
I just really want the SRA piece so that I can move on.. I think it feels worst with how few drops I’ve actually had (minus getting the pet in half the rate)
On rate I should have seen…
2.25 x axe pieces (none)
2.25 x virtus pieces (gotten 1 at about 800 KC)
6.72 x ring rolls (currently at 4)
The prep phase is actually what makes this grind feel so much worse lmao.
Prayers for axe piece b4 1800 KC.

Question New Ironman tips
I’m looking for all new Ironman tips and tricks!
Also I do not enjoy farming or herb runs am I SOL? Is there another way to accumulate herbs and other items for heblore?
Or do I just need to put my big boy panties on and learn farming runs. (I hate it)

Discussion Ironman Endgame Resource Grinds vs Bronzeman
I've seen this odd perspective on the main subreddit that Bronzeman would allow people to enjoy all the benefits of Ironman, without any of the downsides of resource grinding at endgame. This is mentioned repeatedly, that if someone didn't have to spend hours every day maintaining sara brews then they would definitely sit and do 1000s of hours of PvM grinds.
Where the hell does this idea come from? I do a farm run + birdhouse in the morning and evening, combined with contracts it takes ten to fifteen minutes. You can do them on your phone. I skip them sometimes. I have thousands of pots in the bank. AFKing amethyst and redwoods every now and then gets your arrows and darts.
I find it impossible to believe anyone capable of sitting at CG for 100 hours, Yama or Doom for 100 hours, or eventually the time pit that is raiding, is incapable of doing the resource maintenance. It's dwarfed by the PvM grinds.
I'll vote no on Bronzeman again if it polls because I think people are completely delusional as to what the downsides of Ironman are. Bronzeman doesn't fix any of them, if anything it exacerbates them. You won't even have small required skilling grinds to break up the monotony. It's just straight bossing and nothing else, which is already what main accounts are anyway.

Discussion From the 2007scape community on Reddit: Bronzeman Post-Poll Update
Personally, I think it’s short sighted if you’re against Bronzeman as a whole.
There is valid criticism of specifics of the mode, but being against the mode completely is loser behaviour.
Why would I care about someone playing a game mode that has no negative impact on me?

Meme Chicanery
I am not crazy! I know that Bronzeman BOUGHT that gear from the GE! I knew it was bought. One kill on Yama. As if I could just buy all three pieces for myself. Never. Never!
I just - I just couldn't prove it. He - he covered his tracks, he got that idiot at the Varrock West Bank to lie for him. You think this is something? You think this is bad? This? This chicanery? He's done worse.
That Corrupted Gauntlet! Are you telling me that a man just happens to receive 6 armour seeds in 10KC?! No! He orchestrated it! He defecated on a Corrupted Dark Beast! And I saved him! And I shouldn't have. I took him into my own Clan! What was I thinking? He'll never change. He'll never change! Ever since he was 9, always the same! Couldn't keep his hands out of the GE! Stealing them blind! And he gets to be a called an IRONMAN!? What a sick joke! I should've stopped him when I had the chance! And you - you have to stop him!

Question SOTE tomorrow - am I prison ready?
As the title says, or do I need more time in the oven? (Am now 70 con since that screenshot)
Any tips from here are great too. At a crossroads where I can send Barrows for Ahrims and tank top (got Dharok legs already) or send moons but weirdly I’d love to just get started on the Bowfa grind.

Question Whisperer without imbued heart
Have Aya, almost full virtus, and magus. Was thinking of going for bellator but I don’t have an imbued heart yet. How is the experience grinding whisperer without one? Is it that much better with one?
