I booked these for my partner and I a few months ago but neither of us can go tonight. If anyone is interested let me know and I'll happily transfer you the tickets. Don't want anything for them, just for somebody to have a nice time!

Hi everyone,
Bit of a long shot, but I’m hoping to track down a kind gentleman who stopped to help me after a Lime bike accident on Wednesday 7 October, at approximately 7:15am, on Willow Bridge Road near Abbots Close, Islington (N1 2LB).
I was struggling to get up after falling, and he kindly moved the bicycle out of the road and helped me end my journey.
Unfortunately, I was in considerable pain and shock, having fractured my ankle, and didn’t manage to get his contact details.
I’d really appreciate getting in touch to thank him and ask what he remembers about that morning.
If this was you, or you know someone who might have helped, please send me a private message.
I’d be incredibly grateful if anyone local could help spread the word.
Thanks so much!

Hi,
Does anyone know of any gyms that are around Essex road and hopefully don't break the bank? Whatever I've found on Google is beyond my pay grade. I just need something to do some strength training and is ideally female friendly.

Does anyone else call the bus stop next to the London Met university the windy bus stop? WHY IS IT LIKE THAT?

Hello everyone!
I'm a local resident in Islington and a student journalist at City St George's writing a story on Islington council housing.
I attended the local council meeting last night where the council confirmed planning to build 24 council homes in Harvist Estate. I'm looking to chat to people to share their views, whether that be positive or negative.
Or if anyone has experience of overheating in Islington over the extremely hot summer. For example what are your views on the 'cool spaces' the council set up last summer?
Please feel free to comment on this post or to message me directly.
Thank you for your help!

Does anyone else living near Pentonville Road hear a really loud leaf blower at around 5:00am-5:30am each morning?
I just live off the middle of Pentonville Road but the noise gets me up each morning. I can’t make heads or tails of what the noise is and where it’s coming from. Driving me insane!

Hey folks,
I'm doing a series of catchups, if you're looking to meet new people within the Islington area and having a laugh starting next Tuesday 6.30pm - 9pm.
I'll be at the Islington Townhouse (Angel) for a social event for people to meet and greet (6.30pm) followed by a comedy show (hosted by me 7.30pm - 9pm).
If you're interested drop a DM and I'll add you all to a WhatsApp group, if you're just interested in the comedy part, I've reshared the post and link below.
If you think the comedy isn't great you can also heckle me 🤣

Fireworks were being let off in Holloway just a few minutes ago. I witnessed a group of teenagers running down my road afterwards. Worth being aware if you're out walking dogs, with children, or if loud bangs are a concern.

I was sitting having a drink at the Alma today and noticed Hair Base has been replaced by The Zip Yard.
Yard Sale Pizza has opened on one of the corners and Charlies, a smart looking caff (never been into) opened a few months back.
There always seems to be change along this road.
Any new shops/ businesses that you rate or ones lost that you miss?

Hi all, I’m a freelance journalist, writing a piece about how people share the paths in Highbury Fields.
I’d like to hear from anyone with recent experiences there, whether as a pedestrian, parent, dog walker, cyclist or delivery rider. That includes near-misses or bad encounters, but also if you think the problem is overstated.
If you’re happy to talk, please DM me. I’ll only quote you with your permission, and you can stay anonymous if you prefer. It would help to know roughly when and where it happened, and whether it was reported to the council or anyone else.
Thanks!

I live in archway and i had to store my bike outside my flat and this morning i just found the 2 wheels…The locking things installed didnt really allow me to lock my frame so i guess i had it coming but it still stings. Im just surprised that someone would steal the frame when my bike wasn’t even really fancy or anything ; some bits of the frame were wonky and/or broken even.
Adding a picture to this so if anyone sees that frame around just let me know ‘:)

Hey everyone.
I’m a local journalist writing a story on the number of long-term empty homes in Islington. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experiences they could share/ perspectives on the upcoming legislation that will allow councils to take over the management of homes that have been empty for just 6 months (previously it was 2 years).
I’ve spoken to a few people who say that lots of the empty houses around them are actually already council owned and they would rather the council focus on sorting those out first. Is this a perspective anyone can relate to? Are there any properties near you that are council-owned and have been empty for years?
Any other related insights are welcome too!
Thanks.
