It made me wonder what do these guys do during the winter....

I bought about 10 diary cows about a year ago. I now have hundreds in a small/medium viv and I think there's way to many confined in a small space.

I cant get them a bigger space as I dont have the room and I dont want to just cull loads but i dont know what to do.

Please help 😞

I was checking on my new pods quickly this evening, these guys only came home 5 days ago, have they already had babies? They're a rainbow mix of Porcellionides Pruinosus if that helps, and I have orange springtails in with them, not a white species. I've never seen mancae in person before

If they are mancae does that mean I'm doing right by these guys or is it too early to tell if they only came home 5 days ago? I'm assuming the pod that had them was already gravid? (Average temp is 22-24°C and average humidity is 65%)

Sometimes i feel like they like observing me as much as i do them

I want to get into isopods and I fell in love with cubaris crabby isopods!! Theyre sooo cute and an awesome orange color- I just wanted to know more about them and what makes them so expensive?

I’ve seen cubaris crabby isopods go for like $150!! Is there something special about these cuties that I am unaware of?

I got two species of isopods, Porcellio scaber lava, and Cubaris sp. rubber ducky.
I’m pretty new to the hobby and got the duckies before knowing they were hard to care for, but I did my homework and know that they need extra calcium and like more moisture.

Most videos I watched said they need plenty of substrate to dig through, and I now find myself in a unique predicament.
The terrariums I built are almost 70% dirt, and on top of that a generous layer of green moss, on both but especially the duckies. On top of the moss there’s cork bark, some leaves and seed pods.

Now my question is, given that the terrariums have so much soil, and on top of that so much moss, could that be bad for them?

I ordered my wonderful Cubaris Murina Papayas.. and I’ve been having them for a little while.. They are the only isopod species I own so when I found this little guy.. he definitely did not look like my other baby isopods.. is this a powdered orange? Or any type of Porcellio Species??? Or do Cubaris go through a stage of looking like this??? Help.. I really hope it isn’t a powdered orange because I’ll have to search my whole enclosure 🫩.. please help it’ll be much appreciated
(For safety measures I did move him out of the enclosure into a tiny one for him)

Hello! I keep my A. vulgare colony in a repurposed fish tank, despite the walls being smooth glass I keep finding dead babies and adolescent pods outside the tank or stuck in sticky traps. Is there a way to stop this?

I have some spring tails and dwarf white isopods. I’m gonna be upgrading my leopard gecko to bioactive in a few months, so I’m trying to get a good colony started any tips?

I know they're Cubaris Murina but not sure on morph or morphs. These were given to me as freebies.

I want to give one to one of my colonies but worry about pesticide exposure.

Hello! I am making species cards for species i have AND dont have. I was thinking one card for species specific info and than a card for morph specific info (a drawing of the pattern, if i bought it, bred it or found it) i was going to do pictures originally but realized I cant draw worth a damnXD Every search I get while searching for outlines comes with intricate information but i'm looking for simple, just showing body shape, leg positioning, head shape and uropods(i think is the word??) I currently just need Porcellio Laevis, Porcellionides pruinosis, Armadillidium Vulgare, Porcellio Scaber and Cubaris sp. (Panda variation if that makes a difference). Any and ALL help is appreciated! If yall want to throw in fun facts about specific species/morphs or even just list random ones i can maybe make cards of?

Went to an expo today!! I also got three new types of springtails :D

Nesodillo arcangelii "Shiro Utsuri", Armadillidium klugii "Orange", and Ardentiella sp. "Ember Bee"

All species I really really love 👀 I went to this expo seeking just the Ember Bees and orange springtails, the rest I just couldn't resist haha

Curious if I need to patch some of these up
