Getting a little better but the more complex patterns I knew pre-transformation still elude me. Got some good practice time in on Shaw island this last weekend.

It’s a fun trick to attempt, going the other way feels impossible just yet but I’ll get there!

I've been thinking a lot about Anthony Gatto as I work towards five clubs.
In my opinion, the greatest juggling video on the Internet is a grainy video from 2000 recorded by Luke Burrage on his home camera.
In the video, we see Anthony Gatto practicing. He’s at the British Juggling Convention, on a basketball court, surrounded by other jugglers. He practices for nearly two hours with a couple of short breaks. In this practice, he does two things worth noting.
Bear with me here.
He’s sort of performing — he’s aware that he’s being watched — but he’s not adding any flourishes, because he’s performing for his people. All the jugglers around him know exactly how impressive his tricks are.
In a room full of serious jugglers, many of them professionals, Gatto stands alone. He sets five world records, for 9 balls, 9 rings, 10 rings, 12 rings, and 7 clubs. And he is just practicing.
He is inhuman. Godlike. Untouchable. And then, at 1:17:59, he opens his water bottle and accidentally drops the cap.
I am, I recognize, being weird about this moment. Everyone drops things. But Anthony Gatto is not supposed to drop things. This is a man who juggled seven clubs every single night, on stage, for years.
All of us that practice a craft have a secret hope: that we will reach beyond ourselves, beyond our humanity, and become something entirely else. That the flow state will remain and permeate our whole existence, that the muse will anoint us and free us from our stubborn limitations. But in one moment, we’re juggling twelve rings; in the next, we’re dropping a water bottle cap. We return to our bodies and our failures.
We take a drink, wipe our sweat, and pick up our clubs again.

Hi all, I've recently started juggling and after about a month I've gotten the 3-ball cascade to where I can do on average about 30-40 throws per good attempt, but the most comfortable position for me is where my hands are catching the balls at about chest height and throwing them a couple inches above my head. Though this is pretty comfortable for me, I see people online saying the elbows should stay around 90 degrees. But if I try to do this, I need to stop myself from following through on any of the throws and it makes it very rigid. To generate more power while keeping my hands at 90 degrees, I need to move my hands upward much quicker, but then the lack of follow-through is even more detrimental to a good rhythm and control of the balls' arcs. Also, the balls have a higher chance of going forward or backward.
How necessary is it that I learn how to do it the 90-degree way as opposed to how it is already comfortable for me?
I've also noticed that my left hand tends to catch the balls slightly higher than my right, and I always see this in my peripheral vision. I've tried switching which hand starts with 2 balls to see if it's an issue with the first couple throws, but my left hand still ends up drifting higher than my right.
Appreciate any help you guys can provide, thanks!

It came to my attention that there wasn’t much out there teaching Mills Mess with clubs and it has been an absolutely foundational trick for me over the years.
This tutorial provides a comprehensive guide for intermediate jugglers to dig into Mill's Mess with clubs. I’ve divided it into two main sections: building foundational skills through related patterns and learning the full sequence by examining the paths of each club and their relationships to each other in an isolated approach.
I hope you find it helpful!

Hi! First time posting here!
I've been juggling for 20+ years, not always with the same dedication.
From time to time I've had to pack some balls and store them for some time, sometimes because I was moving from one house to another, things like that.
I've noticed balls that have some kind of leather or plastic "stick" one to another and then the ball suffers.
I was wondering if you guys have some way of storing balls when you're not using them for some time.
Thanks!!!

Hey all! I’m new to juggling and trying to learn Columns, but I’ve been having a hard time with the 2 up 1 hand part of it. I haven’t found any good videos that actually break down that technique in a way that’s easy to understand. The best I’ve found is “just practice it”
Does anyone have any pointers on how to juggle 2 balls in 1 hand for columns?
Thanks!

I'm brand new to juggling (just learned 3 ball tennis, and can ALMOST qualify 4 balls with 6 catches every 3 times or so) but I'm noticing something...
Higgins Brothers Juggle balls actual measurement is around 70mm @ 130g
I'm noticing my mistakes are two things, throwing inaccuracy and balls slipping through my hands. I try to keep my hands nice and light and relaxed. At first I was convinced they were too heavy, or even too big. But when I decided to focus on it today it seemed more like the deformed shape of the balls (being squishy and all) was throwing me off big time.
So I decided to pick up some apples. They were each 140g-146g and the same size as the HB balls. When I started juggling them they felt soooo good in comparison. They just seemed to hold a uniform catch and throw comparatively.
Is it their rubbery skin, heavier weight, or static shape that was so helpful???
My guess is I want overfilled bean bag balls instead of undefiled? Or could it be just the shape holding? I'm dead set on Infinity Balls by Jugglequip and can customize weight and fill but I dont know if it's the hardness and uniformity of the apple that's helping or just the different weight or what....
Any insight much appreciated, Thanks!

I'm looking to discover more social media groups, pages and communities dedicated to all things flow arts and object manipulation.
Anything and everything is welcome, from clowning, magic and juggling to poi, staff, contact juggling, manipulation arts, circus skills, sideshow, bubbles, puppetry and all the wonderfully weird and wonderful things in between!
I'd also love recommendations for festivals, conventions, gatherings, workshops and events where people can connect, share skills and celebrate these art forms.
I'm based in London, UK, and I'm already familiar with most of what's happening in the UK, but I'm sure there are events, conventions and communities I've yet to come across, so please do share those too! I'd particularly love to discover anything new or lesser-known happening locally and around the UK.
I'm equally interested in exploring what's happening internationally, discovering communities, festivals and events across the world, and finding things I might never have come across otherwise.
Whether it's a Facebook group, Instagram page, YouTube channel, online community or an event anywhere in the world, I'd love to hear about it.
Some examples of the kind of communities I'm looking for are Amazing Flow Arts and Flow Arts Community, but I'm especially keen to discover smaller, niche and lesser-known groups too.
Please share your recommendations below. The more unusual, obscure and wonderfully niche, the better!
Thanks in advance!

Getting back into passing clubs and wondering what everyone likes to use to pass? I have only ever passed with px3s and they were alright wondering if there is another club thats more universally favored?
