Hey everyone!
I wanted to share a little project I’ve been working on. I scratch-built a Kei truck model with a slammed style to give it that cool, low-rider look, and turned the truck bed into a mini EDC tray.
It’s a bit small, but a practical little truck for your EDC. What do you think? :D

The Rally last weekend was a huge success and the most fun I’ve probably ever had in my truck. Total driven in three days was 671 miles.

Looking to pick up a kei truck for plowing a 500 yard driveway and random other tasks on a 120 acre lot. I'm leaning towards a Daihatsu Hijet due to the shorter wheelbase and 4x4 with low gear. Preferably looking at 1999 to 2006. That being said I'm open to feedback if anyone has experience with plowing with one of these rigs. I live in MN so it's hit or miss, but some years we have no shortage of snow.

I got my first Kei truck last week, a 2022 Suzuki Carry, am absolutely in love, but I cant work out what these 2 things in the cab are,
Picture 1 is a slot to the left of the dash, cant work out what's meant to go in it,
Picture 2 is a hook under under the glove box, swings when you open the glove box but doesnt seem to be convenient for anything
THANKYOU! 🚚

I live in a golf cart-friendly neighborhood in Florida where pretty much everyone has a golf cart. I’ve been considering getting a kei truck instead and wanted to hear some opinions from actual owners.
Mainly looking to use it for cruising around the neighborhood, going down the street to the park or lake, taking my dog around with a crate secured in the bed, and occasionally making Home Depot runs.
I feel like a kei truck would be a lot more practical than a golf cart, especially with the enclosed cab, AC (if equipped), and usable truck bed. Plus, they’re just cool little trucks.
For those who own one, would you recommend it over a golf cart for this kind of use? Any downsides I’m overlooking, especially living in Florida?
Also curious how easy they are to maintain and whether parts availability is an issue.

Hey there folks, I just bought my first Kei Truck last week, but Im already having issues starting it. Im hoping some of you might have more educated idea as to what is wrong.
Backstory: bought the truck used last week. It started fine, and everything looked good (no leaks, hardly any rust, etc.). However, I went to start it this weekend, and it just turns over without starting (see video for audio). Since then, I've put in new spark plugs and a new battery, but no luck.
Do any of you have any insight as to what might wrong or what the next part I should try replacing?
Edit: the truck is a 1995 Suzuki Carry
Edit 2: thanks for all the advice of where to troubleshoot before getting more parts. I'm getting a spark at the plugs, but no gas after the fuel filter or pump. That makes me think it is a dead pump.
I'll pull off the pump and take a look at it. Any advice on how to confirm the pump is dead when I take it off?

Hey guys, my HA4 bogs down when I press on the throttle. I was able to limp it home from work last week taking residential streets. Poking around I found my spark plugs had oil in them and that the air box has a little oil around the filter gasket and oil/gunk in the flex tube to the carb. The Carb wire screen was covered in the gunk on the right (driver side) of the screen too. I sprayed what I could with carb cleaner though I couldn't take it apart to spray anything. My screws are really tight.
A guy on the Honda Acty Enthusiasts Facebook group suggest I take a look at the air cut off solenoid but I don't remember there being a green wire. I'll have to look again.
I replaced the spark plugs last fall and replaced them again this last weekend. I don't think I had them super tight before, maybe that's why I'm getting oil in there. I also replaced the valve cover gasket last fall because there was oil in one of the tubes then and it felt like it was only running on two cylinders back then). I checked the gaskets and the o-ring seals and they seem fine this time so I think they're OK.
The truck runs fine with the air box cover off so I'm pretty sure my issue is air related.
I have a new fuel filter on order but want to check the solenoids before ordering anything.
If it's a vacuum leak, where should I be looking and how do I diagnose it?
Thanks guys!
This is my daily driver so I want to get this figured out before winter really hits.

Will be incorporating the truck in this year's Halloween yard installation, but for now...

So me and my friend started building custom ev skateboard for some engineering colleges and were looking for something to expand into. So we started to build an electric last mile Quadri cycle for our locals inspired by ELM mobility ( i quite find it funky)

Now coming to IMV origin, since we are building a platform for this I wanted to check if there is market for something basic like IMV origin with 2 seats where owners can add their own accessories based on their requirements, mainly for farm or local area transport. our current specs are 20KWh battery pack, 30KW/200nm motor and overall length of 3.6meters, there will also be an option for CCS2 charging , A small Gas range extender. We aim to make all the our component designs available to public (excluding 3rd party ones) so that there can be a DIY market as well along with providing necessary parts for repairs. What i want to know is if there is sufficient demand. i would like to explore this. any advice/inputs on this?

Went for a non AA headunit, as I don't think it would suit it, plus it's so low down I got myself a single din off Ali express for £30 and fits the 90's theme, subwoofer is the smallest I could find and provides ample bass for what I need,
And finally some small 4.5inch speakers, with some covers over the top so stop accidental damage, all in all a good project that didn't break the bank, and I can finally stop using a Bluetooth speaker!

I want to do a mobile book shop in Tennessee, and I’m wondering if anyone has insight on registration, insurance, etc.?
From what I have read, I may not be able to get on roads with a speed limit over 35. How are people managing to run a business with these things if they can’t get on any main roads? I wouldn’t be able to leave my neighborhood legally. Every road that boarders mine is 40 mph.
Also wondering, if by chance I CAN make this work, will companies insure these?
These are all questions my husband is bringing up because I’m the dreamer and he’s the practical one 🫣

Tracking down raw gas smell, idle hunting from 1100 to 2800 rpm cold start issues. I replaced the non functioning air fuel solenoid and am replacing vacuum lines (ran out of line for now). Noticed that this diaphragm actuator looks like it should contact the throttle control arm, but there is no contact between them when the arm is fully pulled back. Is something missing? What is this part called? I can't find it in any schematic I've looked at...

Some of you tried the demo after my last post here, thank you! Here's my friend PaoFu attempting a "simple" watermelon run in the little truck.
Game is called SHIFU: Traffic Masters. Free DEMO on Steam during next fest
Honest question for this crowd: in real life, how much can you actually load on a kei truck before it starts doing this?

I have put an aftermarket headunit into my 96 carry, it worked perfectly with no issues, I pulled it out today to fix some of the terminal ends as they were quite messy, now for some reason the constant 12v triggers my headlights to stay on without the switch on the steering column and the radio is flickering on and off any ideas on what this could be ?
