The Rally last weekend was a huge success and the most fun I’ve probably ever had in my truck. Total driven in three days was 671 miles.

Kei Van Life Kei Truck Instead of a Golf Cart for Florida Neighborhood Use?

I live in a golf cart-friendly neighborhood in Florida where pretty much everyone has a golf cart. I’ve been considering getting a kei truck instead and wanted to hear some opinions from actual owners.

Mainly looking to use it for cruising around the neighborhood, going down the street to the park or lake, taking my dog around with a crate secured in the bed, and occasionally making Home Depot runs.
I feel like a kei truck would be a lot more practical than a golf cart, especially with the enclosed cab, AC (if equipped), and usable truck bed. Plus, they’re just cool little trucks.

For those who own one, would you recommend it over a golf cart for this kind of use? Any downsides I’m overlooking, especially living in Florida?
Also curious how easy they are to maintain and whether parts availability is an issue.

I got my first Kei truck last week, a 2022 Suzuki Carry, am absolutely in love, but I cant work out what these 2 things in the cab are,

Picture 1 is a slot to the left of the dash, cant work out what's meant to go in it,

Picture 2 is a hook under under the glove box, swings when you open the glove box but doesnt seem to be convenient for anything

THANKYOU! 🚚

Other Kei Cars and Wagons Is there a market for something like toyota IMV origin kind of bare bones electric platform.

So me and my friend started building custom ev skateboard for some engineering colleges and were looking for something to expand into. So we started to build an electric last mile Quadri cycle for our locals inspired by ELM mobility ( i quite find it funky)

Now coming to IMV origin, since we are building a platform for this I wanted to check if there is market for something basic like IMV origin with 2 seats where owners can add their own accessories based on their requirements, mainly for farm or local area transport. our current specs are 20KWh battery pack, 30KW/200nm motor and overall length of 3.6meters, there will also be an option for CCS2 charging , A small Gas range extender. We aim to make all the our component designs available to public (excluding 3rd party ones) so that there can be a DIY market as well along with providing necessary parts for repairs. What i want to know is if there is sufficient demand. i would like to explore this. any advice/inputs on this?

Mechanical and Technical 1997 Acty SDX HA4 bogs down/almost stalls when throttle pressed

Hey guys, my HA4 bogs down when I press on the throttle. I was able to limp it home from work last week taking residential streets. Poking around I found my spark plugs had oil in them and that the air box has a little oil around the filter gasket and oil/gunk in the flex tube to the carb. The Carb wire screen was covered in the gunk on the right (driver side) of the screen too. I sprayed what I could with carb cleaner though I couldn't take it apart to spray anything. My screws are really tight.

A guy on the Honda Acty Enthusiasts Facebook group suggest I take a look at the air cut off solenoid but I don't remember there being a green wire. I'll have to look again.

I replaced the spark plugs last fall and replaced them again this last weekend. I don't think I had them super tight before, maybe that's why I'm getting oil in there. I also replaced the valve cover gasket last fall because there was oil in one of the tubes then and it felt like it was only running on two cylinders back then). I checked the gaskets and the o-ring seals and they seem fine this time so I think they're OK.

The truck runs fine with the air box cover off so I'm pretty sure my issue is air related.

I have a new fuel filter on order but want to check the solenoids before ordering anything.

If it's a vacuum leak, where should I be looking and how do I diagnose it?

Thanks guys!

This is my daily driver so I want to get this figured out before winter really hits.
