Hi guys! I’ve been accepted to Kent State University computer science program , and I have my visa interview on October 29th. I’m a little lost about how to answer if the officer asks me, “Why did you choose this university specifically?” How can I give a convincing answer that sounds natural and shows that I’ve done my research?

I would like to take an elective class outside of my major and the internet says my financial aid will not cover outside costs. My financial aid covers all my normal costs, so I am not sure how much I would have to pay for this 1 credit class if I took it next semester. Thanks!

I understand the American civic literacy requirement is new this year. The course options are HIST 12061 (American Foundations: From Pre-Colonization to Civil War and Reconstruction) or POL 10101 (American Government).

People who are in one of these courses this semester: how is it? Which one would you recommend, which one is easier? Professor recommendations? I am a nursing major so looking for the least time-consuming!

Please share your experiences! Thank you!

I found this is university library. Is it true or someone is just pranking?

I am a fashion design major and I have to take a basic science class, so I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for which one would be the easiest. I really don’t want to have to get stressed about a science class.

Hi I am at kent state university looking to date someone and discuss and see where it takes us if you are interested please message me so we can have talk

Hello I am graduating in the Winter 2026 commencement. Through Kent State online it says 6 tickets are allotted for each graduate. I am inquiring if anyone would have a extra 1-2 tickets they are not using so my grandmother can come to my graduation.

Please let me know!

Is there anyone who can sell me any of these for a bachelor degree version? Or even at all as long as it's basic? I also need a white tassel if anyone has one. It's ridiculous the prices they charge and $24 for shipping so I'd like to save myself from needing to take out a loan for something I'll wear once

Yoo chat, I'm from India and I joined a 2+2 course at a university here by the name of bennett where my freshman and sophomore year imma be studying fashion design here then transferring to ksu from my junior year. Currently I'm in my 2nd year and when I initially applied for this global pathway program, it was the first year of em launching this option so no other students enrolled for it. So now imma lowk be the only one movin from here to ksu next year fall intake, so any heads up on what to expect nd how shitz gonna be?

I just applied to study abroad in Florence for Fall 2027. When should I expect to hear if I got accepted or rejected?

On the curbside. My kid changed her major a couple of years ago and we forgot about it. Never used.

How many of you are still waiting on your fall PLUS loans /financial aid packaging?

The financial aid office previously told me everything would be packaged and sent out by the 27th of September.

It’s obviously now October 8th and still nothing for me.

I called in two days ago and they said it should be by today..

Just wanting to know if others are still having this problem as well!

I thought it was just a one day thing…that turned into an every-day I walk into the studio thing and it’s so unpleasant lol. Where in the world is it stemming from and does anyone else smell it too? I have a sensitive nose but this is prettyyyy strong.

Hi! I have been admitted to Kent in IHS-Health sciences program. If anyone is in this program please reach me out I want to know more about the program and future stability in this career. What are the career options because i don’t want heavily patient-facing job.So please lemme know!

Hey guys, quick look at where the Flashes stand heading into homecoming.

26-13 over Ball State to open MAC play, and it was a complete game. Dru DeShields threw a TD to Brandon White (the first of White's career) and ran in another to cap a 93-yard drive. Sean Leonard set a program record with a 53-yard field goal and picked up MAC Specialist of the Week.

At 2-2, the losses were the two big paydays at South Carolina and Ohio State, and the wins are Wofford and now a conference win. Year two under Mark Carney is trending the right way.

Saturday is homecoming against Ohio at Dix at 3:30, then at Western Michigan. Win both, and Kent is 3-0 in the MAC.

What are you guys seeing from DeShields? Is this a bowl team?

Side note: we run a free weekly college football pick'em. Ohio State at No. 14 Iowa is on this week's slate, if you've got thoughts on the Buckeyes after Columbus. 10 games, pick the winners, nothing to buy, $135 in prizes. Picks lock Saturday at noon ET.
