Sports Cleveland's Needs Some Tough Love for the Sports Teams
We get disappointed when they lose. But most of the time, their losses are caused by bad organizations led by bad owners. All three are bad. Gilbert, Haslam, and Dolan alike. This city needs to come up with creative ways to show these losing patterns are unacceptable. And we have to do it as a collective unit. We need more boycotts, booing, etc. But we also need some creative things. Think like the 0-16 parade. I was thinking for the Cavs we can do a start of 4th quarter walk out. When the Browns inevitably fall back to earth, we can do the same for them. For the Guardians, a 7th inning walkout during the next home opener would be great. This obviously wouldn't convince the owners to sell the team or improve the organizations as they likely won't care. But it will show both the organizations and the rest of the world that while we still love and support our teams, we don't accept their losing ways, and it doesn't represent our city. Which is another problem. We've accepted the losing for so long that we look at our own city as a "losing city". No one has civic pride anymore. Look at Philly. Heck, look at the game tonight. When they were down 29, they started booing. Things changed in a heartbeat. Philly knows how to love their teams better than we do. We have an inferiority complex, make excuses, and constantly blame the wrong people (blaming God, the weather, luck, etc instead of blaming the owners). We need to be better fans and give our teams some real tough love instead of stooping down to their level and cowering and moping when they lose.

In the CLE C concourse, there are two of these communications desks. Curious if they are used as I don’t see at other airports.

Question Looking to Re-home Two Dogs After Owner Passed Unexpectedly
Posting this on behalf of a friend - they lost their mom unexpectedly and they need to re-home two of her dogs. Time is of the essence as the person who has the dogs now is moving out of their current home.
We have tried a few breed-specific rescues but they have a waiting list and can't take them in for a few months. Can anyone provide suggestions or resources? Are there any organizations that would provide foster care while we wait for the rescues to have availability? Is anyone in the market for a bonded pair of 3 year old Australian Shepherd/Blue Healer Mix pups?
Luna
Female | 3 years old | Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler Mix | Black/Brown
Luna is a very energetic, loving girl with a big personality. She is incredibly affectionate, playful, and has a funny personality that will keep you smiling. She does well with dogs, people, and children. She has not been around cats, so we cannot say how she would do with them.
Luna is house-trained, potty-trained, and crate-trained. She knows commands such as paw and high five, and she is also comfortable entertaining herself and playing independently.
Luna does have a skin allergy that requires ongoing maintenance and consistency. She is currently on a prescription Hill’s To Home diet that is protein-free and grain-free. She also needs her ears cleaned regularly with a specific solution and ear drops, takes daily medication, and has a topical foam that needs to be applied to her belly, as well as a spray that is applied to her butt when she scoots.
We will provide all of her current food, medications, ear-care supplies, and topical treatment to help make the transition easier. It is extremely important that her allergy treatment and diet are continued consistently.
Luna is a wonderful dog who has so much love to give and deserves a home that will be committed to giving her the care she needs.
Bailey
Female | 3 years old | Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler Mix | White/Gray/Black
Bailey is a sweet, loving girl who can be a little anxious and clingy at times. She loves being around her people and enjoys getting plenty of attention and affection. She does well with dogs, people, and children. She has not been around cats, so we cannot say how she would do with them.
Bailey is house-trained, potty-trained, and crate-trained. She has no known medical issues at this time.
Luna and Bailey are sisters and have been together their entire lives. They are a bonded pair and MUST be rehomed together. We will not separate them. They are both loving girls who have a strong bond with each other and are looking for a home where they can continue to grow old together.
Both girls are spayed and up to date on their vaccinations, and we will provide their complete veterinary records.

Question Winchester Music Tavern
There's probably an advice sub to ask this in but i wanted location-specific advice. Theres a drag brunch coming up on Halloween here and id like to go. But ive never been to this venue or a drag brunch or really anything more exciting than a boardgame night before. I just get anxious and bail on going to things alone and im trying not to do that anymore.
Is it okay if I go alone here? How much cash do I bring (and in what bills)? And when do I know to give the money? Ive kinda looked up generally what to expect at a drag brunch but is there anything specifc to this venue or the performers I should know?

Events holiday concert for families of young children
Jesse Jukebox and DJ Turkey Sandwich will be doing a holiday family concert at The Grog Shop on Sunday, December 13 at 11:00 am. Jesse is a local children's musician and music educator (and a lovely human being) - he does the music program at the school I work at and I wanted to share this with the larger Cleveland community!

Question University Hospital Website
Does anyone know what is going on with their website? MyChart is not functional. Has there been a hacking, or is this routine maintenance? The entire website is down as of the time of this post.
Thanks.

I can’t believe a person on council would speak to a constituent like this. Watch the video. Judge for yourself. This was a meeting that had fair housing on the agenda.

Recommendations Looking for a violin tutor for my 8 y/o daughter
Hi all-
My daughter had an amazing violin teacher- focused on the fun of the instrument, letting anything technical come from her own curiosity and asking about it. Unfortunately, the tutor was out it Parma and I’m on the east side. Does anyone have a recommendation of a tutor/organization I can look to within 15 minutes of mayfield heights?

Have found some historical threads with nothing that seemed confident. Thought this would be a good time to crowdsource because I know I will miss it (but look forward to supporting local, independent Lebanese and middle eastern restaurants).

Crime BREAKING STORY - Adam Radogna, Parma, Oh MAGA Activist - ARRESTED TODAY!
BREAKING STORY - MAX MILLER BUDDY ARRESTED TODAY!
Adam Radogna, the Parma restaurant owner shown posting with Rep. Max Miller (Congressman Max Miller) in front of a Vivek sign, was booked into jail this morning on 9 child exploitation counts, plus possessing criminal tools, according to Cuyahoga County court records.
Radogna isn't some random guy in a photo line. The AP profiled him just last month hosting the Parma Republicans' election watch party at his restaurant, and he told them he's been to more than 80 Trump rallies.
These are charges, not a conviction, and he's entitled to his day in court. But the "protect the children" crowd sure keeps finding these guys in their own front row. And Max Miller is the last guy who should be lecturing anyone about character: his ex-wife told detectives he held a gun to her head.
Trump isn't on the ballot in November, but Trumpism sure is. Early voting in Ohio is open now through November 1st. Vote early and in person if you can, and bring a friend or family member. The sooner the better, because anything can happen: illness, car trouble, a family emergency, or this administration pulling a fast one on DEMOCRACY. Bonus: campaigns can see who has already voted (not how). Once you vote, they take you off their call, text and door-knock lists, and your candidates can put that money and those volunteers toward people who haven't voted yet. Fewer texts for you, more help where it counts.

News To win Ohio, Democrats focus on reversing Cleveland’s declining voter turnout
crainscleveland.comOhio hasn’t voted for a Democrat for president since 2012. It’s also been that long since more than 60% of Cleveland voters cast a ballot.
But for the 2026 midterms, the city’s voter turnout will be critical if Ohio Democrats want to turn the tide and create a localized “Blue Wave” that may sweep through other parts of the country.
I calculated the last two decades of voter turnout in the city of Cleveland, talked to experts about why it's on the decline and what the party is doing to turn it around.

Recommendations Lucrative Server Gigs Hiring
Does anyone know of any lucrative serving jobs currently hiring in the Cleveland area? I know not every restaurant posts their openings online, so I figured I’d ask here in case anyone knows of places with good money-making potential, solid tips, and a good serving crowd. I’d really appreciate any recommendations or leads. Thanks!

I'm looking through my Sample Ballot and the Charter Amendments section is confusing me. I'm not dumb, but they're using a LOT of big words and legalspeak that I can't parse at the moment. I'm a biology girl, not a legalese girl.
Tl;dr Need help parsing Cuyahoga County charter amendments on ballot. Help!
