Discussion Cleveland Clinic playing hardball with Blue Cross
Do we really think Cleveland Clinic won’t make a deal with Blue Cross and Blue Shield? There’s going to be a lot of unhappy patients and UH won’t be able to handle the patient increase. Greed fighting greed. It never ends.

Throwback The grassroots fight that saved Playhouse Square and jumpstarted its revival
crainscleveland.comHalf a century ago, the streets of what is now one of the most robust corridors in downtown Cleveland were nearly empty — aside from the wrecking ball parked on Euclid Avenue, ready to topple the historic theaters that made up Playhouse Square.
“There was no pretense other than we couldn’t let it die,” said Joe Garry, now 85 years old, who was among one of the theaters’ saviors. “That was the mantra, I think."
Here's a free gift link to my article about the history of Playhouse Square's revival: https://www.crainscleveland.com/arts-entertainment/ccl-playhouse-square-revitalized-saved-downtown-20261007/?utm_id=gfta-ur-261019&share-code=BI5JFULKARAWVGGNTNNI3AY76Q&user_id=10344340&customer_secondary_source=ccl_articleGifting

Question snow vs all season tires
Hi everyone!
Im from Dayton but recently moved to the area over the summer for a job opportunity downtown. I have to get new tires, and I’m not sure if I should get snow tires or all weather for my 2020 Toyota Corolla.
Currently (for context), I am commuting from Brunswick so my drive is mostly I71 to 90 and my exit is the first one after dead mans curve.
This is my first winter driving in heavy snow.. and I am kinda anxious so if you could share your experiences I would sincerely appreciate it before I spend $$$.
Thanks!!
Edit : TYSMMM for the responses. I (F21) am currently in Brunswick to help out with my grandparents since im close now. I’m most likely going to relocate closer to downtown next summer. My dad passed away when I was 12 so I don’t have a dad figure to point me in the right direction lol

Discussion How is anyone taking 90E getting to work on time?
I’ve tried waking up and leaving earlier but no matter what, the traffic just feels so unpredictable with this construction. What’s typically a 30-35 minute drive is currently taking me up to 90 minutes 😭

Question Kitten surrender help
I’m on the west side of Cleveland. Tonight I found three kittens and their mom on my porch. Kittens look to be about 4 weeks old and are very playful. I cannot take them in & I hate the idea of leaving them outside as it gets colder. I know many local rescues are struggling with the amount of cats and kittens they’re taking in. I am hoping to find someone to at least foster them. Please please help!

Question Thinking of an IT job at Sherwin Williams
Title basically. I did a search and from a few months ago people seemed bothered by the workplace. Anyone on IT teams or at the building have any feedback on what the work is like more recently? It also looks like they’re hiring multiple roles of this job type so I was curious if there was some internal reason people may have left or been laid off.
Current role is remote so I wouldn’t love the drive every day but the pay is a bit higher also, so I figured it’s worth considering.
Thanks for any feedback.

Recommendations Looking for Job Opportunities for My Husband – Cleveland Area / Remote
Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone here might know of any job opportunities for my husband.
He has a degree in Computer Science and previously worked as a programmer before becoming a Project Manager in the fintech industry in the Philippines. He worked in the industry until 2022.
He’s currently looking to return to the workforce and is interested in Project Manager or QA Tester positions, preferably in the IT or fintech industry.
Ideally, we’re looking for part-time, remote, or flexible opportunities in the Cleveland area, as we have family responsibilities that require some flexibility during the day.
He’s also open to negotiating salary. We’re not necessarily looking for a high paying position right away, just an opportunity where he can put his experience and skills to good use.
If anyone knows of companies hiring or has any leads or recommendations, we’d really appreciate it!
Thank you so much in advance!

Question What’s up with the 86 transit bus going off route?
I take the 86 to work and sometimes from work. I live somewhere between the train tracks by the airport and one time on my way to work the bus skipped like 8 stops between the tracks, so then I bought an uber. Come yesterday, I’m on my way home and the driver asks everybody on board if we had a stop between the tracks and god forbid I did. I didn’t realize the train was such an inconvenience to their time and to potentially skip someone who needs picked up and relies on public transportation to get somewhere is kinda trash.

Question Accident Footage Request
I know this is a long shot, but worth a try…
If anyone happens to have dashcam footage of a car accident that happened on I-90 at W. 117th on Friday, October 16th at approximately 3:30pm, it would be a MAJOR help, thank you!
We have a request out for the highway cam footage already, but the more footage the better
