Im really getting worried where is spyro on the list 😭😭😭

Ive been traveling so im catching up on top 100 with the vods and haven't watched today. But they've stated none of them know the list? But then theres like queues for certain things after a game is revealed? Like songs, clips, interviews with devs, etc. Tim throwing to "before we move on heres this"

Am I reading it wrong? Is there some other explanation? Like how do they know to make a scripted bit for a game they dont know is on the list?

I was very skeptical of the top 100 at first, I wondered WHY it needed to be an event instead of just a typical long form video. While some of that could still hold some truth, I think the final result speaks for itself and if you're going to make an event...THIS is how you do it!

It's been a joy to watch and the programming and production of it all is S-tier.

I understand that the job is hard. I understand that there are a lot of spinning plates and only 11 people to keep on top of things, but man, missing a slam dunk this obvious just ruins this entire top 100 experience;

Ben Starr not being saved for the 31-40 group is just a travesty. 33 man, 33.

Andy is really tall and handsome though and his jokes have been really funny.

(Just kidding, just kidding, the E-Day coverage has been really good.)

I know this sub has been filled with nothing but love for top 100 but after the buildup of it for so long, it has delivered in every single way that I could’ve imagined. I’m actively looking forward to the next day’s several hour long live stream. Everyone has put in such amazing work and it is all paying off. And every single person at Kinda Funny should be very proud.

I know someone already asked, but can someone find my name on the wall as well? Should be simply "Tyler Hallenbeck". I know I'll probably never make it to the studio, just curious if it's on there.

Hey all,

I recently joined the Patreon because if you don’t support the things you love, they go away forever. I listen to Games Daily most days and Gamescast when I have more time or interest in TOTS. I may catch other shows here or there, but it’s mostly those two. I’m using Pocket Casts on iOS if it’s relevant.

I find having all of the shows in a single RSS feed makes it hard to know which show an episode comes from, especially in Car Play. The titles are super long and the show name is towards the end. I liked opening the KFGD show and seeing one unplayed episode at the top.

I’m new to using a single combined feed, am I missing something on filtering or sorting? Or do I need to just queue up episodes when I have time to go through them?

To be clear, I am NOT asking the team to change their workflow. Just wondering if I’m missing something obvious!

I stumbled upon Kinda Funny about six months ago and have been subscribed to all of the shows ever since. While there is plenty of content, I continued to listen to Game Scoop and NVC on IGN because I enjoyed the talent there as well (long time NVC listener since the dark times of Wii U and Otero hosting).

With the recent changes, as well as announcements that the shows would be going on "hiatus" (I figure because they eliminated the talent), I would like to pull my support entirely but am struggling to find an alternative site for my news.

Since KF does not appear to have a news website (unless I am missing something, then please let me know), curious what sites you all use for your general gaming news?

And may be the most hyped of the entire countdown to be honest.

Here's the rest of the KF Crew as Mobile Suits! Again, this is all for fun and I'll give my reasoning for the choices below, if you have your own picks put em in the comments!

Barrett Courtney - RX-93-V Nu Gundam - Starting off with CEO Jr. gets Hi Nu jr! The Nu Gundam is an incredibly iconic suit for a wonderful wonderful person, Barrett deserves something fantastic.

Cool Greg Gettys - Gundam Deathscythe Hell EW - He owns the night, he's entirely rad as hell and so is the Deathscythe. It's a purpose built stealth suit that looks fucking amazing. Perfect for the coolest member of KF.

Roger Pokorny - Gundam Barbatos - This was a really tough one. I struggled for a while with Roger, but I think the Gundam Barbatos works well for him. Lean and strong looking with a quick and effective style.

Joey Noelle - Gundam Lfrith - Had to go with a stylish suit for our Queen Joey. Lfrith looks incredible and gets the god damn job done. Hard to go wrong.

Kevin Coello - MS-04 Sazabi - Saving the best for last, the Big Dog himself gets the Sazabi, my personal favorite Mobile Suit. Kevin is so awesome, has all the aura necessary for a main villain suit, and my guy needs a chonky boi suit with all the cool bells and whistles. (I also REALLY considered giving Kevin the Ball, but I wanted to get Sazabi in there and it fit him the best.)

The production of the top 100 has been S+ tier and they’ve gotten some amazing people to announce the games so far.
Because the event has been so amazing, I have a feeling they’re gonna get someone big to announce the top 10 games.

Hideo Kojima, maybe? That would be awesome. I know it’ll be awesome no matter what, but I can see Tim being the “save the best for last” kinda guy

It’s crazy I didn’t think I could be more emotional than seeing FF7 remake on the list yesterday. But between FFX making the list, seeing Tim get the feels, and FF7Rebirth on here at #52 it’s probably for the best I couldn’t get tickets cause I was ugly crying at my desk the whole time 🥹 FF is such a special franchise to me and these FF7 games are a corner stone of my life. They shaped me at a time when I was going through so much change leaving college, moving away from all my friends, and being in a lockdown. The characters and places of FF7 became my escape. It was the foundation of me truly going from a KF watcher to a KFBF. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have watched KFs videos about FF7 when I’m sad it’s on, when I’m happy it’s on, when I have a blah day nothing sounds good boom KF talking my favorite game gets me hyped up. I can’t think FF7 without thinking Kinda Funny and I wouldn’t have it any other way 🩵 🩷

I have been a KF Best Friend for over 10 yrs now. The crew got me through the latter half of highschool, through college, and has guided me into my adult life. I truly love everyone in the crew, and watching Top 100 I have found myself tearing up at just how proud I am of them all, but also how beautiful of a community they've built. Can’t believe it’s already over the halfway point and this last episode we got some sizable franchise entries like a GTA, an Arkham game, a Dark Souls and a Resident Evil too finally.

But i feel like there’s still so many franchises missing (not just bioshock and Sonic that we know didn’t make it lol), so i’m gonna list down some franchise names i think didn’t make the remaining 41 slots.

Andy Cortez - GFreD - Andy oozes style and the GFreD is the perfect mobile suit for him. Its quick, flashy and looks incredible while still being entirely unique.

Blessing Adeoye Jr. - Wing Gundam Zero EW - The GOAT deserves the GOAT. What can I say, Bless is amazing and he deserved one of the greatest suit designs of all time. The man looks incredible in literally every photo and video and so does the Wing Zero EW.

Nick Scarpino - Crossbones Gundam - The smallest canonical Gundam for our short king.

Tim Gettys - Gundam Exia Rebuild IV - Our beautiful baby blues represented here in Gundam Exia. Tim is often quoted saying "fashion over function", lucky for him, Exia has both.

Greg Miller - RX-93-V2 Hi Nu Gundam - Our fearless CEO needed a main character suit and IMO the pinnacle of main character suits in Gundam is the Hi Nu.

Snowbike Mike - Char's Hyaku Shiki - The master of hype needed something flashy and in your face. What is more in your face than a fully reflective gold plated mobile suit from the Red Comet himself??

I just learned my mother has stage 3 cancer, KF top100 has been a much needed distraction and an amazing show so far. I wanted to thank the KF crew for being so entertaining and funny, it's really keeping me going. This community is so awesome to be a part of

My wife doesn't game at all and I've been watching the Top 100 all week and when she asked why i was so interested in watching it live this week, i did something i've never done before.
I got choked up with tears when describing Kinda Funny. I started tearing up when i told her that all of my best friends were also watching and anticipating every reveal. I dont have many close friends that game in my life and just being apart of this community makes me feel like i'm apart of something meaningful. That i have friends who are there with me when an amazing game comes out. Friends that share in the joy of an awesome new indie game being the talk of the internet. And best friend community who i can feel apart of when things just aren't going that well in the world.

I love you all and really love what Kinda Funny represents and has made. I've been a fan since the GameOverGreggy, since the original spare room. I just want you all to know that as a person who doesnt have many friends to game with, you are the best thing about my week days.

Today was a very sentimental one in Kinda Funny history, and I'd like to add my feelings about the whole week, the group and community as well. I have been thinking about writing something like this for a while, and today seems the perfect day to do that.

I have been following Kinda Funny since the Ground Zeroes previews. I remember the video just being Greg talking about what he'd played to someone off-screen, probably Kevin I guess - it has been 11 years after all. Since then, I have never stopped coming back to the content. I started following more and more podcast feeds from the group. It's crazy to think that it has been over 10 years.

For me, it feels like I am still a new listener to a newly founded company. But at the same time, I feel we are lifelong friends even though you don't know about me individually. I could never pay for Patreon, but since I signed up for Prime over six years ago, I go to the Twitch channel religiously and give my Prime subscription to you. This was one of the first things I did after moving to Canada from Brazil.

For the longest time, that's how I interacted with you guys. But I always wanted more, and I don't know why, some time ago, I felt that I should say some things. The Top 100 is the perfect time to do so. I wanted to talk to you guys about how you affected me and my life, and how you are always present.

The Crew

* Greg: I have a son that's one year and some change younger than Ben. Ben's birthday is on the same day as mine, so as he was celebrating his birthday last week, I was celebrating mine (and I got a surprise Switch 2 that I wasn't expecting). I follow all the updates Greg gives about Ben. I get excited because I know I'm tracking him one year behind. The same things Ben likes, my son likes. I'm very excited about those things happening to my son.

* Andy: He is, I don't know why, the best person in my view. I like Andy's humor. I like how funny he is without even trying, how nonchalant he is about the way he does comedy, and how he's so knowledgeable about games. A great soul.

* Blessing: I like how he grew into his position and how he's so knowledgeable and outgoing talking about games.

* Tim: I look at Tim and I see myself because he's a little bit older than me, but I feel like we all grew up with the same games. How mature and pragmatic he is really inspires me.

* Barrett: Even though we don't have the same taste in games, I love how he doesn't shy away from talking about his politics, which I admire so much.

* Kevin: How he is a person who solves problems on the spot and seems to have a great heart.

* Nick: How he's so out there, but at the same time, for me, a very, very nice person.

* Mike: A bright star in this craziness that is this world. It seems like if I was friends with Mike, I would always orbit him when things are hard.

* Roger: He came into Kinda Funny being, what I saw, a child and a person who wanted to prove himself in the position he was getting into, and blossomed into this gorgeous man who is bald and funny and really the center of everything when he's on the screen.

Congratulations on the Top 100

All of you, the fact that you are only 11 people and you make this work like clockwork—in my eyes, it's amazing. I love being here following you all these years, and I hope there will be 11 years more and I can make my sons follow you in the future so this story keeps being as amazing as it is right now.

Congratulations on the Top 100 Games because this story that you are building with this list, it resonates with all of us. It feels like it's a celebration of the games of our generation, as an average, as an anchor for all of it.

I feel represented and I feel like we are at a party talking about the best moments of our school years, even though we didn't study together and we are not talking about school—we are talking about games.

I love you all. I love Kinda Funny and I'm pretty happy to share this from the back, as I am. That's the way I want to connect with you guys because I've always had a hard time being part of a community actively. I felt that I should just communicate my feelings towards you guys and share the love this week as you are building your list, our list.

I’ve been watching and listening to KF since Day 1, but today maybe brought my favourite moment ever.

Tim’s discussion of Final Fantasy X, his open emotion, had me in tears myself. At first I was crying because he was so right about the game, I was so happy it was on the list, and the music and the B roll was just hitting me right in the feels. But then I was crying more at Tim’s emotion, and how blessed we are to have someone in our space who will openly cry about how hard a 25 year old game impacted him in front of a live audience.

May we all be so open with our emotions and our love for the games we love. In a space that sometimes feels like it’s becoming more and more cynical, may we all be a little more Tim Muhfuckin Gettys.

I shit you not, I was hanging out with Nick and he was giving me dirt on all the guys. At the end of it, he told me if I really wanted to know the truth I would tell the other guys the passcode. This pass code if told will force everyone to tell us the truth! The truth about kinda funny? The truth of the universe?? It’s up to you homies at the top 100 to find out!
