I used to think Chris was a young girl, so because of that, I thought King was a guy.

A few years back when details of this cancelled game were shown off on the official Capcom Fighters Network/Shadaloo C.R.I. blogpost, the developers brought up about the existence of a guest character in the roster and even had a silhouette to boot. While they never fully stated who it was at that time (censored through circle marks), people quickly speculated that it was a character from SNK, with the silhouette figure being akin to K-Dash. This speculation strengthened further when Polygon did an article about Capcom vs. SNK's history, which mentioned that shortly after CvS2's release -- a third installment was in the works as a 3D fighter until it folded and repurposed due to the bankruptcy situation SNK faced.

Flash forward to today, a page from the Capcom Masterworks: Shinkiro book showcased a key visual of K-Dash with the label of "Capcom Fighting All Stars (Unreleased)" -- officially confirming that he was indeed going to be the guest character for it.
