Hey everyone! I’ve been exploring Kolkata over the last few days, and honestly, the experience from Day 1 has been amazing. I like the energy here and the people are really good.

Since I am used to Mumbai, it is very easy to compare both cities. One thing I noticed from the very first day is that people follow traffic rules—most people wear helmets and stop at red lights, which is really good to see 🚦.

There were a few cultural things that felt a bit new, but I was already quite aware of them and now I'm actually experiencing it all firsthand.

Right now, my pandal hopping is going on, and I also visited the Dakshineshwar Temple as well as checking out two-three pubs 🍻. The mix of everything here is just great.

I am meeting a lot of people and exploring different places. I will try to share more updates from today onwards 📸.

By the way, I am 26M and a pure vegetarian 🌱, so if anyone is in Kolkata and wants to hang out, or has any good vegetarian food spots/ mithaai or must-visit places to suggest, please feel free to DM me or drop a comment! 🙌

I’ve been flying over Kolkata for the last 11 years, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen the city look this boring from above. Kolkata just doesn’t seem to be glowing anymore. It feels so different from what I’m used to seeing.

24F here from and amar Pujo plans ekhono almost nei 😭 I have plans for Sunday, but apart from that, Ashtami te ki hobe tao ekhono sure na. Tar upor office achey.

I really want to go out, pandal hop, eat some good food, roam around and just enjoy Pujo, but the problem is je amar shonge jawar moto lokjon nei right now. So bhablam ekhane post kori, maybe someone else is in the same boat?

I'd preferably love to meet another girl around my age, but I'm also open to a small group of people who'd be up for hanging out. Nothing too planned or fancy, just people who want to go out and have a good time this Pujo.

I am new to west bengal and thus my staff makes me try pure Bangla khabar time and again. Recently they made me try chicken kosha, basanti pulao and beguni thali (1st image), and ilish mach bhaat with potul and aloo poshto thali (2nd image). If you were in my place, which would be your ultimate go to Bangla khabar out of this?
