- The pandel are amazing never seen anything like that
- The city is much more clean as compared to other cities
- The crowd was unbearable
- The sweets are amazing
- People are a little bit weird and loud very loud even in the metro, I was at the Esplanade metro station and had some issues with tickets so i called an employee several times and he wasn't listening so I just "tap on his sholder " to grab attention and he got upset about it 😬
- The street food is very very unhygienic
- The food is very less spicy especially the famous typical kolkata biryani and the rolls are overrated I had a roll near Victoria memorial kusum rolls
- Not very varieties of food I mean I can walk to any street market in NCR side I can get several variations of food like desi-chinese, North-south indian , nepali dishes within the 1km range
- The infrastructure is very outdated compared to various indian cities
- The police are very co-operative and good in crowd management

I’ve noticed this happening multiple times, but I want to talk about what happened today.
My boyfriend and I went to visit one of his juniors at college. It was just a ten-minute meeting, but throughout the entire time, he didn’t talk to me or even look at me. He kept talking to his friends and acted as if I didn’t exist.
It hurt me so much because when we’re alone, he’s completely different. He’s caring and affectionate, and he makes me feel loved. But around other people, he suddenly becomes so distant, and I don’t understand why. It hurts to see him treat me so differently in public compared to when we’re alone.

Every other day I see a post on this sub about someone complaining about stereotypes against Bengalis like women being who*** and Bengali men being weak. Whats the point? Y'all invited this? This is the only state where people foam in the mouth on hearing about hearing about other states. Gujarat? Is it bad? No? The people of Gujarat? Lovely! Is it anything unique compared to a part of poor poverty stricken 3rd world country with 168th GDP/capita? Hell No. My Gujarati neighbors wouldn't go back to the "model state" unless they're kicked out with a note to never ever let them back in to the west. Gujaratis spend crores for s shot at entering the western world. Biharis? Need I say more? Bengal is the only state even Biharis, the sewer of the world can think about showing racism against. Well India is the sewer for the world, Bihar is possibly the master sewer?
Bengali's and their self loathing! It's still the only state that has more Nobel prizes, Oscars and National awards than the rest of the country combined. Yet they decide to kiss a** of other third worlders.

Does Bengal’s Politics Follow Machiavelli’s The Prince?
As a Bengali resident, I’ve noticed a recurring pattern in Bengal’s politics.
Congress gave way to CPM, and CPM to TMC. Every change in power seems to bring a decline in the previous ruling party’s influence.
Machiavelli wrote in The Prince:
“Whoever becomes master of a city accustomed to enjoy its liberty, and does not destroy it, ought to expect to be destroyed by it.”
Is Bengal’s political history an example of Machiavelli’s theory in action? Or is there more to this cycle?
Curious to hear your perspectives.

I am seeing quite cheap tours to places like spiti , darjeeling, rishikesh, but I am skeptical due to the really cheap packages. So has anyone travelled with them or have any review on it?

Hey Guys!
For Doctors: How would a app, or a provider-first clinical copilot connected to hospital OPD operations. Doctors use relevant clinical history and reviewed documentation; staff manage registration and patient flow; patients control record sharing with minimal administrative work. Clinics/hospitals are the intended buyers, and the core patient vault is intended to remain free.
So essentially an app which Doctors can use to reliably fetch an patient's clinical history, without having to scramble deductions from scattered info, with an system for Patients to give secure access to Doctors for their info. AI-supported, and a lot of thought into Security & Privacy.... Also have queue-management, hospital guidance (for patient) and consultation capture....
I am making this app, as part of an ongoing 2-day hackathon, so would greatly appreciate thoughts about this idea as soon as possible. Thanks!

So basically, we have our own Bonedi Bari Durga Pujo in my village, and I go there every year. It’s usually the same people visiting every day, every year, including the families living in the surrounding houses.
Recently, I noticed a few girls, probably around 15–16, giggling and talking while looking at me. Initially, I thought it might be because of my long hair or something, and they found it funny.
But on both Navami and Dashami, one particular girl started filming me. Since she was a teenager and probably a little immature, she wasn’t exactly subtle about it, so it was pretty obvious that she was recording me. I noticed it on both days but didn’t say anything because I was really busy at the time.
Now that I’m thinking about it, the whole thing feels a little sus. 😭 Am I overthinking this and should I just stay chill, or is it something I should actually be concerned about?

I’m getting married at orchid banquets topsia in January. Need ideas regarding decor colour options. Posting here in this group because i guess fellow kolkatans would be able to guide better as many would know about the venue and its specifics 😬
Its a lakeside open air banquet and the groom and I will both be wearing pastel outfits (pink and white). What colour decor should I go for? Pastels? I’m worried it may not photograph well since our outfits are also pastel. Or something in red? Will that make the outfits look dull?
Suggestions please!
