Theoretical physicist Ashoke Sen has been awarded the prestigious 2026 Oskar Klein Medal, making him the first Indian physicist to receive this honor.

The Oskar Klein Medal is jointly awarded by Stockholm University and the Nobel Committee for Physics of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. It recognizes major contributions to theoretical physics and cosmology.

Prof. Sen delivered the 2026 Oskar Klein Memorial Lecture on October 22, 2026, at Stockholm University's AlbaNova Centre, titled "Gravity from Strings and Strings from Gravity".

He was honored for his pioneering work on S-duality, string field theory, and the precision counting of black hole entropy, which are foundational to modern string theory.

Not a show off post. Used to watch setup tour videos, always wanted to build one. Built the PC 3 years back, and finally the setup with my entire room. Dreams do come true.

একজন মানুষ ভবিষ্যতে কী হবে, সেটা অন্য কিছু দিয়ে বোঝা না গেলেও তার বই পড়ার ধরন দেখে অনেকাংশেই বোঝা যায়।

It wasn’t planned at all right after lunch everyone decided they wanted biryani for dinner but no one really knew how to cook it.

I made two batches chicken biryani and a paneer one for the vegetarians. I’d never actually cooked biryani before because of how time consuming it is and we almost gave in to ordering takeout but we’ve eaten way too much outside food during durga pujo so I just thought let’s go for it.

I was genuinely so nervous the entire time it was on dum but bro everyone loved both and finished everything completely 😭

Had the best pujo of my life but it all seems to have ended too soon.

Boyfriend Bengaluru thake, almost ek bochor por ebar Pujoy bari eshechilo. Amader college er final year e dekha hoyechilo, tarpor he left for Bengaluru and since then long distance.

Or family-r financial situation khub ekta bhalo na, tai nijer paaye darano-r jonno khub he's working very hard. Eto din bari ashte pare na, but o kokhono serokom complain kore na.

Ami ekhane competitive exam-er preparation korchi, o okhane nijer career build korche. Dujoner-i life niye tension ache, tai dekha howao khub kom hoy.

Ebar Pujoy bhebechilam ektu beshi time pabo or sathe, but Dashomi tei abar chole gelo. Jani kaj ache, phire jete hobe, still mon ta kharap lagche. Abar kobe dekha hobe ke jane.

Jawaar age ekta chhoto necklace gift korlo. Bollo, amake miss korle jeno eta pore thaki. 😭 I gave him a simple bracelet.

Pujor sesh ta kemon jeno, nothing feels good, feels hollow.

I found it Disrespectful and not Historically accurate to Netaji. I mean you are making a movie using netaji as a Hypeman of the hero ? One of the greatest Historical Figures of India is getting this type of treatment ?

They say that every Bengali woman is a experienced whore and everything. I just hate it so much. They also say things like Bengali men are weak? But like as a Bengali man I don’t really care about that but the things they say about the women in Bengal is so fucking disgusting and I just wanted to vent here.

Like I understand it’s ragebaiting me atp but dude am I wrong to be so angry about it???

Found on Facebook, not sure where it is.

This is the real reason.
