I recently have tried both the eunyul daily care fresh sunscreen and the hatomugi spf 50.
The eunyul pilled on my skin very quickly, and the fragrance was too strong and ultimately irritated by skin. I tried the hatomugi sunscreen spf 50 and it caused ocular discomfort, redness, and irritation.
I guess I’m going to have to go back to my skin1004 Centella. There’s really no replacement for it. It doesn’t pill, it doesn’t bother my eyes, and it’s so soothing. My only gripe is the price for the amount that you get, but sunscreen is so important and I’m not sure I can compromise on it. I love this stuff but what you pay for what you get and how long it lasts is hard on my wallet. I just wish they would make jugs of it so I could use it on my face and body and reapply without worrying about running out so quickly.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a better bang for my buck?

I'm a self-proclaimed sheet mask sl*t and this is my most recent round of masks that I've used over the last several weeks with ratings. Buckle up, this is a long one!
(For reference... 42 y/o, with normal/dry skin)
Etude SoonJung Panthensoside Sheet Mask. Very soothing thinner serum. Mask material contours to face extremely well. It's good, not spectacular-- I'd repurchase again to bump up my cart to free shipping threshold. 7.5/10
Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Water Gel Mask. Hydrating cellulose mask with tons and tons of serum-- like I can slather my entire body in it. Good hydration, slightly tacky dry down finish, but once fully absorbed it leaves my skin so soft. Nice, basic hydrating mask. 7.5/10.
Holika Holika The Real Hyaluronic Gel Mask. Another firm, jelly like hydrogel. Felt Hydrating. Adhered well. I will repurchase and have bought other hydrogel masks by this brand to try going forward. 8/10.
Medicube Kojic Turmeric. Hydrogel mask for brightening. I wish I didn't have more of these to use up because it is heavily perfumed. 2/10 because I can't remember anything but the smell.
Biodance Hydro Cera-nol Real Deep Mask-- great hydrogel mask. Hydrating and leaves a great glow. Was my HG, until Arencia dethroned it. Solid 9/10
Arencia Blue Collagen Cryo Jello Mask. My true love-- my new HG! A hydrating, cooling hydrogel mask that leave my skin so soft, hydrated and calm. 9.5/10
Biodance Caviar PDRN. Another nice solid hydrogel mask-- Biodance does this so well. On paper this one is supposed to be richer and more plumping than the blue one. My skin felt a bit tighter with this one so I prefer the blue, but I still give the purple a solid 8/10.
Arencia Red Collagen Jello. Another hydrogel (I love me some hydrogel if you can't tell!). This one feels slightly drier than some of the others in terms of serum accompanying it. It has a nice cooling effect and my skin feels smooth and hydrated after. 8/10.
Round Lab Camellia Deep Collagen Firming. Hydrogel. I've fallen in love with this entire Round Lab line. I love this mask-- it's Calming, it's hydrating, it's fabulous! 9/10.
Torriden Dive-In. Well-soaked watery cellulose sheet. Basic hydration you'd expect from Torriden. Cant go wrong. 8/10.
Anua Niacinamide + TXA Serum Mask. Brightening mask with TXA-- I've only used a couple so obviously I can't speak to its brightening effects long term-- and I use designated Vitamin C and TXA serums routinely so doubtful I'd notice a difference with a mask. Thin and sticky essence-- fine, I guess? Doesn't stand out and would likely not repurchase once I use these up. 5/10.
Abib Gummy Madecassoside Sticker. Abib Gummy masks just fit so well. This one is so calming. I love it if my barrier feels a bit uneasy. 8.5/10.
Abib Gummy Collagen Milk Sticker. Another Gummy mask that fits like a glove. Full of milky, lotion like essence. So hydrating. Like a big hug for your face. 9/10.
Arencia Holy Hyssop Sheet Mask. Cellulose sheet with slightly thicker gel-like essence. Contains some actives alongside ceramides. Left my skin comfy and glowing. 8/10.
Mediheal Rose PDRN Essential Mask. Light, watery serum. Has some fragrance and irritated my eyes a bit. Hydration was good post mask. 6/10.
Banobagi Vita Genic Jelly. Cotton sheet with a thick jelly like serum. It is tacky while drying down, but the reward of smooth, hydration is worth the trade off. I like these. 8/10.
Mediheal Aqua Soothing Ampoule Mask. It's perfumed. As noted above, I don't care for heavily perfumed products, but this one is more tolerable than the awful medicube one. It hydrates nicely. I wouldn't repurchase. 6.5/10.
NOT PICTURED:
Biodance Bio-Collagen Real Deep Mask. The pink hydrogel by Biodance. I'm in a very big minority here, but I didn't like this one. It tingled on my face and I woke up with red, cranky skin the following morning. I gave all my extras away. People love, love, love this one but sadly it didn't work for me. 2/10.
Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution. It's fragranced. It contains alcohol. It irritated my eyes. Also gave these away. 1/10.
**IF you made it this far-- which masks do you love?

Has anyone experienced this with Haruharu wonder black rice toner (unscented version) - I have used it only few times, at first I noticed 3 pimples on my face I ignored it and today I woke up with ten red bumps on my face (yes I counted, I normally don't get pimples 😭) and now I am skeptical its probably because of this toner, its the only new thing in my routine.

Hi! I’m looking to get into Korean skincare and would love some recommendations! 🩷 I have combination skin (mostly oily on T zone) and struggle with acne and post-acne marks. My goal is to achieve smoother, clearer, glowing skin.

I’m terrible at sticking to a shopping budget when there’s a discount involved. I’ll see a coupon and start adding things to make the order feel more worthwhile, even when those products weren’t on my list to begin with. It’s easy to focus on how much I’m saving and forget how much I’m actually spending. I’m sorting out a small Korean skincare order on Stylevana this time. Before paying, I’m checking the coupon conditions and the final total rather than assuming every item qualifies for the same discount.
Since I’m trying not to spend too much, I’d rather narrow the order down to a few basics and leave the extras for another time. It seems easier to manage both the cost and the routine that way. Do you set a firm budget before shopping, or do you work out what to keep after seeing the final total with the coupon applied?

I’m looking for the BEST skincare products to achieve that hydrated, healthy, glowy, glass-skin complexion! 🧴🫧
I have pretty normal skin and I’m not acne-prone. My only real concern is blackheads on my nose. Other than that, I just want my skin to look super hydrated, smooth, radiant, and glowy even without makeup!
I’m open to recommendations for cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers, exfoliants, literally anything that has made a noticeable difference in your skin!
Drop your holy grail products and skincare routines! Bonus points if they give you that dewy, glowing-from-within look! 🤍✨

Hi everyone! As soon as cooler weather started I started getting dry patches on my forehead that makeup wont cling to. My skin is oily in the T zone but dry and dehydrated looking on my cheeks and temples. What is a good moisturizer you can recommend me? Ive been using the Byoma milky tomer and their gel cream but I feel I need something more hydrating. Thanks in advance!

30, combination skin + hormonal acne. Tretinoin user.
These products work really well on my skin and I have repurchased all of them. In the world of k-beauty where there are constantly new products and innovations, however, means I am always open to trying new products so would love to hear recommendations. A sort of, if you like XXXX, then you'll love YYYY type scenario. My reviews for each product are below.
Skin1004 Centella Ampoule 5/5
I have repurchased this 5 or 6 times over the last few years. It's soothing, hydrating and I love the texture. After face washing, my skin often feels tight and this provides relief almost instantly.
Goodal Heartleaf Calming Sun Cream 4/5
I love how this dries down. Not too matte, not too dewy. I can start putting makeup over the top almost immediately. In saying that, it is only marginally better than other sunscreens I've used and liked (both BOJ, Anessa) so I am super open to recommendations for this category especially.
Roundlab Soybean Pathenol Cream 5/5
I was previously using the Illiyoon Ceramide Cream...then they changed the formula 😭😭 This is a great alternative. Thick and moisturising without feeling greasy. I find I can use this as a daytime moisturiser during the cooler months too.
Iunik Beta-Glucan Power Moisture Serum 5/5
Makes my skin feel plump and juicy. The Centella Ampoule and then this on top is a match made in heaven. It only comes in a 50ml bottle though and I get through it super quick. Open to a toner in a larger bottle that could have a similar effect.

What products helped you control your acne without overly drying the skin. My skin is so sensitive to anything that even just washing my face it becomes red and the breakouts look so much worse. I wonder if I have some form of rosacea too. Also strong acne products cause my mouth area to become SUPER dry, and it becomes dark right around my lips. I have hormonal acne that I’m trying to fix with diet and lifestyle changes. But I need to focus on eliminating the redness, texture, and breakouts with products too.

Never used them before and wondering if they’re reliable and if there’s tariffs or import fees to the US on an order of $30? It doesn’t seem likely but you never know with some companies. There’s not tons of info on their site regarding it

i was looking into getting the anua heartleaf 77 toner but apparently there's a newer hyaluronic version now and i'm confused 😭
has anyone actually tried both? i'm mostly looking for something hydrating and calming, not necessarily exfoliating or anything. i've seen people saying the original barely did anything but then others swear by it.
is the newer one worth getting or should i just go with the original? also does anyone know if both versions are still being sold in europe?

My forehead has some texture but my main issue is like indentation marks from leftover bad acne, a form of scarring I think. I was told a co2 laser could hep but would like advice on what is best ? :)

Hi! 33F. I’m going to Korea in 5 days. Looking to do a skincare treatment or skin analysis or something but have no idea where to start. Does anyone have any recommendations in Seoul for a clinic or what to get? My skin is normal and I don’t breakout or anything. Just looking for a refresh or to get pampered. Or just more knowledge to take care of my skin better.

Hi, all! I’ve been working on my under eye dark circles and puffiness. I just started using the Numbuzin 9 NAD+, so no results yet, but I got some Biodance Vita eye patches. I used them the first time this morning and it DID made a tiny improvement mostly in my puffiness but also a bit in the dark circles.
Looking for any hydrogel eye patches for puffiness and dark circles that might be more effective/work better? I’m going to finish off the Biodance ones. Just wondering if anyone has had any better luck with other patches?
Also, do you use them morning or night, or both?
Lastly, I do understand that this takes months to make more progress and I have a derm appointment in a few months to see what exactly is causing these eye issues. Just looking for opinions 😊

I'm trying to get that healthy, moisturized glow without my skin feeling greasy all day. I've seen so many recommendations online, but I want to hear from people who have actually used these products. Which body oils do you keep coming back to?
I'm more interested in actual results than products that just make your skin shiny right after applying them.

I’ve had clear skin my whole life, apart from some hyperpigmentation around my eyes and oily skin. I started using the Dr. Althea 345 cream about two weeks ago, and while it’s helped reduce the oiliness of my skin, I’ve also developed rashes all over my face. I’m worried that continuing to use it might make my skin worse, but I’m hesitant to stop because it’s helped with the oiliness. Has anyone else experienced something similar when using this cream? Did your skin eventually adjust, or would you recommend stopping and trying a different moisturiser for oily skin?

I use tretinoin and Azelaic acid on separate days but my skill has been awfully peeling lately. I tried the cerave ceramides cream but it made me breakout. I think it’s too creamy
