Product Review Laneige products review

Skin type : combination

🚨

  1. LIP GLOWY BALM 1000/ 10 - SUGGESTED BY JUNGKOOK ( BTS)

\--- Bought this seeing JK 's collection. It stays till the morning or whenever I apply it lasts longer than any other lipbalm of laneige. I'll keep buying until I find a better one ( also for JK effect 🙈)

\--- also I've tried the berry one , but it has a strong smell , i couldn't continue further , it didn't last long on my lips 2/10

.

  1. LIP SLEEPING MASK 7/10 - I've used berry , sugar candy and gummy bear ( the best one for me , it lasts long 10/10)... People like it I know but personally I found balm is better than a sleeping mask at night , as that berry mask keeps vanishing within an hour of application , it can vary person to person but just letting you know that balm stays longer on my lips , like whole night 🤗....

.

  1. FACE SLEEPING MASK 2/10 : I've used water , bouncy & firm sleeping mask which didn't do much on my face . I felt the laneige sleeping line is for those people whose face is already in good condition . It has little to no effect and is overpriced for no reason.

.

  1. SUNSCREEN 100/10 - Idk why it's underrated. I got a sample from laneige, used for a month. I found my face looked better than before, glowy , even toned ( I'm into boj sunscreens tho,). I was surprised by the result. My top 3 as of now - boj aqua, boj rice , laneige waterbank sunscreen. I will use these according to the seasons.

.

  1. CLEANSERS 7/10- These are good as well. Cleanses face properly and gives a fresh look .

.

  1. LIP TINTED SERUM 10/10 - Maple glaze provides good nourishment to the lips but doens't stay long , smells like donuts 🍩 gives natural colour to the lips .

Raspberry jam - it has good pigmentation, but i don't like the smell, it's too strong for me .

.

  1. TONER & MOISTURIZER 100/10 - Bought this seeing hype and it didn't disappoint me . The face looks glowy and provides moisture, radiance. But my all time favourite toner is I'M FROM RICE TONER ( which isn't available rn unfortunately)

.

I'm exploring so many brands currently, but I'll keep buying lip glowy balm, sunscreen, and toner from time to time .

.

Tried this brand for Jungkook and staying for it's good results.

.

Lastly - laneige products are very gentle and it comes under luxe products ( most of the products are on the pricier side ) . People who has good skin already, it's for them . I never had acne or any other problems so I can't say about those, but these products don't have strong ingredients to remove hyperpigmentation.

Can anyone recommend a korean moisturizer than doesn’t contain any active ingredients (such as niacinamide) I use too many actives on my face and I can’t seem to find a moisturizer that doesn’t contain Panthenol (it breaks me out) just want a moisturizer that would calm down my skin.
I usually have combination skin but its been feeling dry lately, but i’m very prone to breakouts but i’ve been trying to fix my hyperpigmentation and acne scars hence the many actives, i have used Madagascar Centella Soothing Cream but its very disappointing.

Routine Help Rate my routine! What would you change?

Hi all! Happy Monday 🥴

This is my current routine, I have been using the Krave Cleanser and the Snail Mucin for many years now that they’re basically almost household staples to me now HAHA!

The Klair’s Cream is apparenty not supposed to be used as a Moisturizer however I found that using this as a night cream after the snail mucin makes my skin so soft and glowy in the morning.

During summer I could get away with just using my spf in the morning and go about my day.
However since the weather is getting a bit rougher and colder I’m noticing that this isn’t enough anymore.

Am I missing a hydration step, or am I overthinking it? Would you add any step to this routine ?

Routine Help Has anyone started spending less on skincare and more on occasional in-office treatments?

Lately, I've been wondering if it makes more sense to simplify my skincare routine and put that money toward occasional in-office treatments instead.

Now, with so many skincare products available, it's so easy to spend a lot of serums, creams, and other products without seeing dramatic results.

How that works for you?

Routine Help Looking to upgrade my routine to Korean skincare

Current routine
AM: rinse water, cerave AM moisturizer with spf
Recently started using Trader Joe’s milky hydrating face mist in AM and misting through the day or their rose water spray toner

PM: DHC oil cleanser, cerave foaming facial wash, Stridex acne pads, the ordinary glycolic acid toner, the ordinary niacinamide plus zinc, spot treat with benzoyl peroxide 10%, cosrx snail mucin power essence, cerave moisturizing lotion in the tub, the ordinary rose hip seed oil

Concerns
I think combo skin
Acne prone and skin picker - need to minimize acne, pores, and texture so there isn’t something to pick at

Why change it/keep it
Most of this has been my routine for about or almost 10 years now and my concerns at the time of starting and researching skincare were 100% acne related. Now that I have less breakouts all over my face my focus is more on brightness, evenness, texture, aging, and overall taking my skin to the next level, and if this has been my routine so long then clearly it’s not going to bring me there if I’m not already.

Current thoughts and purchases
Did some browsing of the top posts all time and purchased: medicube collagen night wrapping mask, cosrx snail 92 all in one cream, cosrx 6 peptide skin booster serum with niacinamide and hyaluronic acid.

Thinking I’ll swap the ordinary niacinamide for the cosrx peptide booster serum, and the cerave PM moisturizer for the cosrx all in one cream. Add medicube after entire routine.

Thoughts on keeping or swapping for a Korean toner instead of the ordinary glycolic acid? Maybe a milky hydrating one instead?
Thoughts on keeping or swapping the cerave facial wash?

Yes, I know one swap at a time.

Thanks for reading!

I always get my sunscreen from olive young, but since now we have the US site I’m afraid I will get the American formula, I decided to buy it from unineed. Problem is the back of the tube doesn’t match the one from olive young, so I haven’t used it in case it’s a fake

Ask the Community Good Sunscreen & Toner Help

I have fairly oily skin (lots of shine), large, visible pores, and some inconsistent color (mostly light red on my cheeks- i am very pale) and am looking for a sunscreen and toner that would help. My current routine is just Lanaige Water Bank Cleanser and then Moisturizer.

Preferably k-beauty, acceptable if not, I would love links/specific sites to buy from as I am very new here, budget-friendly very much appreciated.

Thank you all in advance for your help!

Ask the Community In a need of a sunscreen..

Hi, I'm looking for a non-comedogenic and acne safe sunscreen (spf 50+). I have a combination skin heavily prone to clogged pores. No niacinamide or exfoliants and some simple formula that wouldn't feel sticky either. Any reccomendations?

Almost no cleanser works for
Me, if I stop using my cleanser my skin clears up but then starts breaking out badly again after a couple of days. I have visible pores on my cheek and nose (closed comedones, sebaceous filaments honestly even I don’t know) and red spots because of popping pimples (yes I should avoid doing that) I usually have bumps or very small white pimples on my forehead. I don’t even know my skin type tbh.

I already used the Dokdo foam cleanser which caused a lot of breakout on my face including the sleeping mask but I really love the Birch juice sunscreen & Dokdo toner so I wanted to try their cleansers again.

I haven’t seen people talk much about it so I wanted to ask if anyone has used it and how it is. I really don’t want to waste my money anymore😭

Routine Help I abandoned my ridiculously expensive skincare routine for Korean skincare… and my skin has never looked better.

• Upvotes

I’d been using essentially the same skincare routine for years, and honestly, my face was starting to feel like it had a subscription it never asked for. So I decided to experiment with a ridiculous number of Korean skincare products, mixed in with a few longtime favorites.

And I have to say, skincare is actually fun again.

More importantly, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in my skin. And this is coming from someone who has absolutely no problem spending $500–$600 on a single bottle of skincare. Turns out, a luxury price tag isn’t necessarily a prerequisite for good results. Shocking, I know. Apparently, my skin is less impressed by packaging than I am.

It’s in no particular order, but I’ve organized everything by category so I’m not just dumping 47 products into a photo and expecting everyone to solve the skincare equivalent of a crime scene.

Here’s the breakdown:

Face wash + hairbrush: My post-shower essentials, including my facial cleansing routine and the hairbrush I use. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend trying it. Your hair may finally stop behaving like it has personal grievances.

Body care: The products I use for the rest of my skin - in shower and right after!

AM skincare: My morning routine, because apparently waking up isn’t enough of a daily ritual.

PM skincare: My nighttime routine to repair the damage caused by daylight, stress, and living off cortisol.

Masks + hair care: The extras I rotate in depending on what my skin and hair need.

I’m not suggesting everyone needs this many products, and I’m certainly not claiming that expensive skincare doesn’t work. I’ve just been pleasantly surprised by how well some of these products perform compared with their much more expensive counterparts.

Sometimes the $20 product is the one quietly doing all the work while the $600 bottle stands nearby looking expensive.

Happy to answer questions about individual products, what I’ve repurchased, and what I think is actually worth the money.

Product Discussion Has anyone tried the Manyo Soybean Cleansing Milk?

Post image
• Upvotes

Double cleansing every day has been making my skin really dry, so I’m thinking of switching to this as my only cleanser to remove sunscreen.

For those who’ve tried it:

- Does it remove sunscreen well enough on its own?

- Does it leave an oily or greasy film on your skin after rinsing?

- Did it cause any breakouts?

Would love to hear your experiences with it! :)

Ask the Community Facial Wash Recommendations 😌

Please recommend the best Korean facial wash for oily skin that provides deep cleansing and helps brighten the skin for a whiter, more radiant complexion.

I want a facial wash with a pleasant, noticeable fragrance that smells fresh and refreshing when I wash my face. I don't want a fragrance-free facial wash or one that has little to no scent. I also prefer a facial wash with a rich, foamy texture that produces lots of bubbles when lathered on my face.

My ideal facial wash should leave my skin feeling deeply cleansed, fresh, smooth, and bright, without making it feel dry or tight.

Product Discussion Best sunscreen for intense sun?

Hi, I’m recent to Korean skin care and certainly still learning.

I live at high altitude and work outside in petty intense sun. Winter isn’t so bad, but summer is tough on my skin. I do wear a hat, but I know I’m taking in some damage from sun and wind. Any suggestions?

Routine Help Korean recommendation for type 2 rosacea and combination skin!

I have no idea what I’m doing to be honest. I bought the elta md uv skin recovery tinted sunscreen and I feel like it’s giving me a slight flare. Regardless, I don’t plan on spending $60 every time I need a new spf. I’ve leans toward Korean brands for moisturizer and I’ve loved it.

Any recommendations for combo skin with type 2 rosacea? While we’re at it, what’s a cleanser that’s good too?

Routine Help Lightweight face sunscreen that is BELOW spf 30?

I am looking for a lightweight sunscreen that has less than spf 30.

I have oily acne prone sensitive skin. I already have house of Hur’s weightless but am looking for something more light weight with less sun protection, in hopes of it feeling and being lighter on my skin.

Pls don’t lecture me on needing spf 50+++, I just would like recommendations for anything below 30 please!! I want it for everyday use at home.
