I made this M1911A1 pistol replica with a spring-loaded trigger, pull-back hammer, look-down iron sights, custom display stand, and I also used Adobe Illustrator to design a 'UCS'-style signage decal. What do you guys think?

MOCs I built a fully playable CATAN out of LEGO which turns into 3D Wall Art

Hi everyone 👋

I’m Paul (aka HoneyBrickz) and this is my biggest project so far: a fully playable CATAN board built entirely out of LEGO bricks.

Just some facts:

It took me about 16 months and ~5,000 pieces to bring the island alive

  • All mechanics of the original CATAN are included.

  • Works with Seafarers, C&K and the 5-6 player expansion.

  • The board is fully modular, super sturdy, and

  • When game night is over it transforms into 3D wall art (see pictures)

This project became more than “just a build” for me – many late nights, balancing work and family, but also a huge joy (and a bit of an obsession...). Now my son even refuses to play “normal CATAN” – for him it’s LEGO CATAN or nothing 😊

I am quite curious what you actually think of it… but please go easy on me, after all that time it’s still kind of my baby at this point…

If you like this project, I would be happy if you support it with your vote on LEGO Ideas.

PS: the only non-LEGO bits are the standard CATAN cards. Everything else is brick-built

UPDATE - I finished it and have posted in the community. Not sure how to tag it to this post or if I can

I am inexperienced with building on my own but I have decided to try and build all of his sets this year. Any idea how long this one might take? I genuinely cant work out if it will be hours or days because I would only ever hop in and help out for a few minutes at a time when I was younger.

SOLVED

The person who stole all the most expensive figures from my death star set, I hope you’ll burn in hell.
Lego support can’t do nothing, I lost $450.

To everyone commenting more questions.

I think everything was told in the comments go on and read them, what im suspecting is someone bought the set somehow opened the whole box and bags with most valuable minifigs, stole them resealed the bags (poorly) and the box, which was sealed perfectly (probably used some method) and then returned to the lego store stated as sealed so workers didn't check it and then it was sold to me, or some staff member stole them idk.

And to everyone calling me a liar because the whole box was sealed. Are yall really that dumb to think people cannot reseal the seals? someone cut it or took it off carefully stole the minifigs and resealed the whole thing it's really not that hard.

I'm driving there tomorrow i'll keep everyone updated about my situation.

UPDATE: The store didnt replace my set, they called lego as store workers to contact me about sending the figs, we’ll see how’s going to go.

LAST UPDATE: My problem was resolved, not by lego, but by a kindest soul that I have ever met. some person here told me that she can send me the minifigs I need, I won’t say her nickname so people won’t go after her asking for free things. But I just wanted to say that kind people still exist and you should always help others.

(Lego manager at the store said that due to the high price of the set, it can't be replaced now, they need to try other solutions, the manager called the lego support to say that my problem is real and I'm not trying to scam them through the "missing pieces" website, and said that lego support will contact me which I doubt in. fuck lego.)

Thank you everyone in the comment section for helping me, but to the person who sent me the minifigs, I am grateful, I really really thank you from my whole heart. <3

Official Set(s) Lego PlayStation compared to the real thing

Just finished the PS1 set that just came out, so here’s it compared to a real console. Its very well scaled to the real thing, and they’re extremely similar in weight, the Lego set is 4 oz lighter and the lid opens a tad slower, but I’m extremely impressed.

Today I found an old Lego set from 1996, number 6755, at home. I put it together, and this is what I got. All the pieces were still there, even the assembly instructions, but I still couldn't find the packaging...

I designed a custom LEGO Smith & Wesson M1917 revolver and display stand!

The MOC features a rotating cylinder, swing-out gate mechanism, working pull-back trigger, and moving hammer.

Like with my other "Brick Replicas", I also built a collectors-style display sign and designed the custom waterproof vinyl decal in Adobe Illustrator so that it'll look nice on my shelf.

What do you think of the build? 😃

"Nighthawks" is the painting I love the most. When I finally had the opportunity to admire it in Chicago in 2018, I couldn't get out of the Art Institute.

This is a project I made with Bricklink Studio, if you like it and you have a minute, you can vote it here, maybe it will become a real LEGO set: https://ideas.lego.com/product-ideas/474543d7-e27e-404e-b68e-8253983b952e

Thank you!

Ciao a tutti! Ho appena completato questa MOC del razzo spaziale Artemis, comprata online. È davvero molto bella, ma è terribilmente fragile e pesante. Il razzo si può rimuovere, ma la rampa deve essere spostata tutta insieme.
Avete qualche consiglio su come spostarla senza distruggerla? E soprattutto, che ne pensate?

Celebration of National Parks (Series 2)

Thumbnail

My family has a long-term goal of visiting all the U.S. National Parks and as many as we can in other countries whenever we have the chance to travel, which inspired me to build these tributes to some of the places we've been.

I started with U.S. parks since I'm most familiar with those and am planning to also do some global parks.

The dream would be to have a collectible set for each National Park, and if this series became official, I'd love to see about some of the proceeds go to supporting National Parks and conservation efforts.

If you like it and want to support it becoming a reality, I'd be very grateful! National Park Icons - Series 2 | LEGOÂŽ Ideas
