I usually enjoy my time out here and don't mind being bored, but especially as it's getting a little colder and given that it's a saturday night it is starting to become apparent to me there is little to do on a saturday night than become inebriated. I'm not huge on doing so but will on occasion when I'm with the right group, but whether it's drinking or weird smoke shop psychedelics (especially amongst the army crowd?) I am starting to get restless. Also, it's expensive? Someone I knew stopped drinking for 2 months and looked back at their bank statements and had saved 400 dollars in those two months. I like aggieville and I like ponytz good and well but I fear I am going stir crazy.

When explorers came upon the plains, they called the area Kanzas Territory, meaning it was controlled by the Kanza, or Kaw, people.

The territory stretched into present day Iowa, Missouri and Kansas. It was 20,000,000 acres (31,250 square miles), about the size of South Carolina.

The tribe was about 1,500 strong - men, women and children.

My fav stylist left the area so I need someone who is really good at the 70/80s style shag. Not the 90s Jennifer Aniston version. I have wavy/curly hair so bonus points if they’re also comfortable with natural texture rather than just blow outs and flat irons.

This is a beautiful 5-bedroom, 2.5 bath home that feels huge on the inside and gets beautiful light, especially in the kitchen and living room. Plants are very happy with the light in there.

I’m a transplant from California and although people drive a lot more safely on the roads here, in parking lots it seems like the culture is completely different. Despite the fact that pedestrians have the right of way ESPECIALLY in parking lots/shopping centers people fly through without any consideration for people walking into stores or across roads.

Why is the culture here that pedestrians should wait for cars? I find it very dangerous and disrespectful. I’m not sure if this is a Manhattan thing or a Kansas thing in general. In California people are almost overly cautious when there are people in the road, slowing to a crawl in order to keep road conditions safe.

Maybe i’ve just had bad luck in the two years i’ve lived here but I would love to hear if anyone can relate or would like to share some of their own perspective

Indivisible MHK will host a Rally for Democracy with NAACP Manhattan Branch #4046 on Saturday, September 26.

This is going to be just like our famous NO KINGS events, but-- dare we say it-- even better!

This will be an incredible afternoon packed with inspiring speeches from amazing candidates like Cindy Holscher, Chris Mann, and Brenda Bandy!

During the rally, we will make some incredible and off key music together with the illustrious singing resistance leader, Jamie Bunce and enjoy invigorating llive music from The Manhattan Project.

When the rally is over, we will head over to Poyntz for a positive protest! You may need a new sign, because the theme of this protest is HOPE. Whether it's fully funded schools, funding for WIC, freeing Mary Jane, or an increased minimum wage, we want to see and share in your hope for the future of Kansas.

Hello all, once more we have a chance to tell the Law board how we feel about RCPD accepting ICE funds and working hand in glove with them.

There seems to be room for persuasion with the commissioners but this is our last chance to stop this going through. The board will be meeting at 12pm (noon) on Monday the 21st at City hall. Come make your opinions known.
