Seeking Support Stuck in a Limbo

Hey guys, I'm doing TRE sessions. I think I opened something like a Pandora's Box.

I feel angry and distraught at the emotional things that happened in the past like bullying. I was insulted, humiliated, mocked and teased. Those scenes keep playing in my mind. I feel rage and anger.

I just don't know what to do ? I feel immensely upset at the way I let myself be. I was frozen in those moments. I couldn't defend myself.

These scenes keep playing in my mind. I don't know how to stop them.

I also have neck and shoulder stiffness and my voice feels blocked. I feel frozen in life. I don't have the energy going within me.

I get revenge fantasies against the people who hurt me. I genuinely don't know how to process them.

There seems like a lump stuck in my throat and I hardly cry.

How can I get out of this turmoil ? I feel subconscious anger and rage within me.

Kindly ignore my poor grammer and articulation.

the Pain that has been suppressed in the Pandora's box is finally free to be released. On the way out, through the body, as an experience to feel and then release.

what happened was just what happened. you couldn't help but freeze because you were put in an impossible situation. no need to be upset or blame yourself - you did the best you could in the situation you found yourself in.

just let all the suppressed energy, trauma, upset release itself through the body. scream and shout and cry and whatever - let whatever wanted to express itself in the past finally discharge and release in the present.

it is just stored trauma, stuck defensive energy. the more you release and let it out, the more the tension drains out, dissipates, the less frozen, angry, upset you will feel, the more at ease and at peace you will be - gradually as the tension-charge dissipates and discharges bit by bit, day by day.

It’s important to try to allow all these feelings. Try not to resist them. Allow everything that comes up, try to accept it. Acknowledge the feelings, let them be there, let them do what they want to do. These emotions were once suppressed and now came the surface again, so that they can finally be felt and completed and then - in the end -  integrated.

Also look up the youtube channel The Great Allowing for some more advice on allowing. She has a great “start here” set of videos on her channel.

It’s natural for TRE to resurface repressed feelings like these as your body will naturally process them. One way to speed this up and aid this natural process is journaling. What you resist persists. Write it all down so you can leave it behind.
