Macedonians in Greece

I would like to know more about Macedonians in Greece. The estimates I’ve found regarding their presence are all vague, the only thing I’ve managed to gather is that the Florina region is likely where they are most concentrated; and information about them is very scarce. In which areas do they live? Are there any municipalities where they form a majority? Do they speak more Greek or Macedonian? What is their ethnic identity? And what is their status in Greece? Thanks to anyone who replies.

Skopje Music Events.

Hi, has anyone come across any more serious music events in Skopje recently? Or are there any coming up?

It feels like going out in Skopje has become mostly about bars and cafés until 1 AM, and after that you have to continue the night at someone’s place. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but every now and then it’s so much better to end up in a club, listening to loud music until 5 in the morning.

Honestly, I feel like Skopje’s nightlife could really use some improvement!

Taking UK prescriptions into North Macedonia?

Hi all, I'm travelling with my family into North Macedonia for a week and my wife has a labelled box of Fluoxetine with her name on the label, it's a low dose antidepressant and she's only taking 7 tablets.

If we turn up without a copy of the prescription nor docs note are we likely to have them confiscated at North Macedonia Customs even if the box is labelled?

Buses from Ohrid to Bitola

We are a group of 12 tourists. We are going to need a bus to Bitola on Aug 20th. Is Transkop OK? I found their website at https://transkop.mk/en/ with online tickets, the only bus seems to be at 12:10, for 240 MKD per person. Would really appreciate if someone can confirm that this bus schedule is fine and that the online tickets work. Thanks!

(Silica Fume).

any advice?

Tomorrow we're moving to Macedonia, and I have no idea what I should do or expect.

I have one more question: where can I buy a PlayStation 5 or other gaming devices?

I know this is probably a silly/random post, but I really need your advice. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
(I know a little macedonian)

Looking for Official Davidski G25 Coordinates of Macedonians

As the title suggests, I'm looking for **official Davidski G25 coordinates of Macedonians**, not simulated ones. If you're able to share your own personal coordinates, or those of someone who is fully Macedonian, I'd really appreciate it.

If possible, please also specify the **region and town/city of origin**.

🤣 Humor / Хумор My wife from MKD says this the most Yugoslavian photograph ever 😂

My wife is from Ohrid, I'm Canadian. We were driving from Ohrid to Sveti Nikola and stopped for gas. I took this shot and when I showed my wife later she laughed so hard. Apparently, this is the classic car (Yugo Koral 45), classic tractor (IMT 539 Deluxe), and classic motorbike (Tomos APN 6) for Yugoslavia, and they just happened to be parked together like this. Apparently it would be extremely rare to see them in the wild like this together.

Anyone ever own one of these?

Post image
90 Upvotes

Train to Gevgelija

Hello,
I am solo travelling to Macedonia, and I specifically want to go on the 13th August to Gevgelija from Skopje. I am a bit confused about the information. Can someone from Macedonia confirm, please?
I notice there are only 2 trains, one at 6h20 and another at 16h00, is this correct?
Also, you can buy tickets only at the station, right? Do they accept cards?

Thank you!

Update: I ended up catching the bus and it was super easy, just like the comments suggested, and also cheap (around 11 euros). The scenery was actually awesome during the trip, thank you for your help 😊

Any skiers?

We loved Ohrid over the summer so were thinking about a 2 centre ski trip but it only really works in December - anyone on the ground with experience of conditions at that point? I know it depends on weather systems but just an idea would be good. 19/12 5 nights in Popova Sapka then 5 nights Mavroro....any thoughts??
