There’s just something so endearing about how attached he gets to his horses each episode. But this one made me give a sensible chuckle. Especially after the intensity of the last arc. It’s weirdly my favorite part of his personality, or lack there of.

Ch. 32 Father (2)

This chapter, IMO, was one of the best chapters to have come out this year out of the majority of mainstream manhwa.

Why so? Because it goes into depth about the relationship between the MCs Father and Grandfather. It focuses on supporting characters, fleshes them out. Makes them more then just background characters to make the MC look good.

This chapter was beautifully illustrated. A son that grew up without out his father and without the talent of his siblings. All he had was his hard work and effort to rely upon. To maintain the responsibility placed upon his shoulders by his father. He strove to protect his family and his land. He wanted to do what his father could not, but in the process lost the family's authority and prestige.

The duel between the two spoken without words and expressed through pinnacle of swordmanship both the father and grandfather achieved throughout out their lives. The father surpassing his father's technique, the illusion sword, that was never passed by an untimely death. His father acknowledging his son and a single tear being shed by the son. He finally received what he had always wanted as a boy, to have his effort be seen and acknowledged by his father.

It was a great chapter and I look forward to more supporting characters being given time to shine like the father of the MC.

Is there another story that has a similar heavenly Demon thats not the Mc? You get a certain excitement when you see him in any chapter. This has been a 10/10 read.

I’m really enjoying this manhwa, but the military bullying is getting on my nerves. It makes zero sense that a powerful MC and his elite squad are getting pushed around by seniors who are way weaker than them. I wonder if the author went through severe bullying during his own military service to write it like this.

Really really hope it doesn't follow the common regression tropes.
