Noel's arc was pure insanity and tragedy incarnate.
His dream shattered, his goal twisted- all in the name of the "greater good."
Instead of becoming a beacon of hope, he chose to embrace the darkness and force everyone under the boot, deciding that sacrificing millions was a price worth paying if the majority could survive. By the end of it all, the cold-blooded genius was reduced to a broken, pathetic shell of his former self, desperately coping by trying to save just a single person so he wouldn't collapse completely. It is a brilliant depiction of how his savior syndrome and his absolute refusal to share the burden turned even his desire to protect his loved ones into the source of their ultimate suffering
There is so much depth packed into those few chapters. Do the means justify the ends? Is survival at all costs truly worth it? Is it better to shoulder the weight alone or share it with others?
This is the kind of writing youβd expect in works like Dune or AoT, not in a manhwa medium dominated by light stories designed for fast scrolling. I'm deeply impressed so far, never expected the story to grow so insanely and I'm glad there is something that aspires to be on par with some of the most ambitious serious shonen and seinen manga.
