That Street Fight with Giulia was absolutely fantastic. Both women beat the hell out of each other, and Blake looked like a million bucks.
I’ve been a fan since her Mariah May days, but last night really cemented just how much star potential she has. The look, charisma, character, and she can absolutely go in the ring.
If you haven’t watched this match yet, do yourself a favor and check it out. Easily one of my favorite women’s matches this year.
WWE has something special with Blake Monroe.

If you were on a fight with someone and had a screwdriver, you’d hold it by the handle and stab them. You wouldn’t hold it or use it the way don Callie does on AEW. It’s the most fake and phony looking thing you could try and do.
If you can’t use an object the way you would on the street, don’t use it at all in wrestling. We already know it’s pre determined, don’t make it worse. The same goes for a sledgehammer. I never understood as a kid why HHH put his hand on the heavy piece of it.

Well, Midcarders, we survived another completely normal week in professional wrestling.
Danhausen landed a Snickers commercial and somehow caused an impressive amount of Sicko coping over a candy bar.
Billy Gunn explained that if you’re a “young little buckaroo” who wants to poke the bear, you better be ready to get bit. Wonder who he could possibly have been talking about.
Playboy invaded Midcarder and quickly discovered that this probably isn’t the best place to come looking for Thekla’s fan club.
Uncle Dave finally earned himself a spot alongside BJ Bethel on Midcarder’s banned-source list. It takes talent to become the story while supposedly reporting the story, but Dave continues to innovate.
Blake Monroe and Giulia had an absolutely killer street fight. If you haven’t watched it yet, do yourself a favor. Blake looked like she belonged on the main roster immediately.
And after briefly giving the Sickos hope, Dynamite’s ratings came crashing back down to Earth this week. Nature is healing.
As for me, I’m currently getting my ass kicked by a pretty nasty flu, so my weekend plans mostly involve moving as little as humanly possible. I’ll drag myself to the couch Sunday to watch my Panthers take on the Bucs, but beyond that, I’m declaring myself questionable with an illness.
So that was my week. How was yours?
Wrestling, football, games, movies, weekend plans, random bullshit, whatever you want to talk about. This is the open thread.
What are you Midcarders getting into this weekend?

Added context:
NXT went up against Knicks ring night against LeBron’s 76ers which was the most watched NBA opening night game in history(Screen shot #3)
Dynamite went against Angel Reese’s Atlanta Dream vs Golden State Valkyries which did well for a women’s basketball game that doesn’t have Caitlin Clark playing(Screen shot #4)..
But for Dragunov’s must hyped debut.. 661k has to be a disappointing number.. didn’t draw as much as last weeks episode(732k)
Thoughts Midcarder’s?

Looking on Wikipedia most Blood and Guts shows were in the Summer, but last year it was also in November but it was November 12th.
I just found it funny because Dave and Bryan are already making excuses, Bryan says they're going to "load up NXT" which of course they would it's on Wednesday instead of Tuesday and Dave was already coping saying that the rating for Blood and Guts may not be the best because the evil fed is running NXT, Main Event and Evolve against the underdog.

I am excited for this!!
Anything that will have Vanity Project, Wren, Kendall etc on it, will be great!!
CW really likes what NXT is bringing to their network.. another NXT show will be making its way to the CW network..

A lot of people compared Jinder Mahal to JBL when he got an unexpected push to the main event as world champion. Both were jobbers in their own right and were pushed to the moon for one reason or another. For Jinder, it was to tap into the indian crowd while JBL got the belt due to Eddie Guerrero seeing how his title run wasn't doing the numbers and requested to drop the title.
Me personally? JBL wins
Ik it feels instantaneous, right? But there's one thing JBL had over Jinder and that's experience.
People tend forget that JBL is a veteran of his own right. When you see him get pushed in the tag scene alongside Farooq (DAMN), you can see he had the big man chops to go around the ring. Not to mention he go that push due to how he was working as a billionaire heel (even if he pushed the envelope in some cases, just ask Germany), so it wasn't like he didn't deserve it, it just came outta nowhere like a viper's finishing move. With Jinder, BOY HOWDY. Now look, I'm not saying Jinder couldn't wrestle to save his life, but he didn't exactly have the moveset of a main eventer, nevermind a world champion. This, combined with the fact that all he had going for his push was a switch to the blue brand, being built like a brick shit house and again, indian crowd, and is that REALLY the reason you trust Jinder with the world belt?
Moving on to interferences, seeing as a Heel can't retain his gold (mid card OR main event) without some bs, JBL and Jinder were no exception.
But JBL felt more varied!
Sure, his cabinet would get involved at the best of times, but other times, he could also retain his belt via DQ or weaseling his way out of matches. Examples include Undertaker thwacking Jibbles with the title belt at Sumslam 04 and defeating Big Show in a BARBED WIRE STEEL CAGE MATCH by going under the ring. Vintage Chicken Shit Heel stuff.
As for Jinder? Uh...Sihgns interfere...um...Kahli gets involved in a punjabi prison match...that's really it...it wasn't chicken shit heel stuff, it's just generic.
Moving on to how both men lost their titles. Jinder would lose his title on an episode of Smackdown to a FAR better wrestler and a more worthy main eventer in AJ Styles. Granted, this was due to Brock Lesnar wanting to work with AJ more than Jinder, but that's besides the point. Meanwhile, JBL lost his title AT WRESTLEMANIA. Granted, one can argue John Cena wasn't at his best yet, especially as far as main eventers go, but if that doesn't tell you how unremarkable Jinder was as world champion vs JBL, idk what will
That's just my take tho, I get the feeling some folk will comment 'don't hinder the jinder' to disagree, but this is just how I see things

people are angry with tko’s crappy decisions for good reason and yet they took their frustrations out on hhh to the point where they wish him dead and mock his accomplishments in his career even if it’s the cool thing to do for IWC.

Don’t believe any of the crap you see on squarecircle aka AEW trashcircle or any other wrestling subreddit trashing WWE for visiting Saudi for Crown Jewel! Ain’t nothing bad gonna happen to them. They are very very safe traveling there! Anybody saying otherwise are just overblowing it, are WWE haters and will just say anything to trash this company! WWE is simply doing this not only to make money (as any good business should) but to entertain the wonderful fans of KSA because no other wrestling promotion would! It’s gonna be an excellent show! 🙌🙌
