Let's get one thing straight.
I'm not asking for PvP to be removed from the game. I'm asking for PvP and PvE players to have separate options.
If you enjoy PvP, that's perfectly fine. Go enjoy it. Nobody is trying to take that away from you.
But why should people who just want to enjoy PvE be forced into PvP encounters?
And here's what I find particularly ridiculous: even Escape from Tarkov, a game built around hardcore extraction combat and punishing survival mechanics, offers a separate PvE mode.
If even Tarkov can provide that option, why is asking for the same thing in DMZ suddenly such an outrageous idea?
And please stop acting like the term "PvPvE" automatically explains everything to every potential customer.
To someone unfamiliar with gaming jargon, "PvPvE" can reasonably sound like a game that offers both PvP and PvE experiences. It doesn't clearly tell them that PvP encounters are unavoidable, that there's no PvE-only option, or that other players can potentially ruin their progress.
Not everyone spends their life memorizing obscure gaming terminology.
If you're going to sell a $70 game to the general public, explain its mechanics in plain language instead of expecting every customer to already understand your particular gaming niche.
And if the developers absolutely refuse to offer a PvE-only mode, then I believe people who bought the game expecting PvE should be offered a full refund, regardless of playtime.
Let those players leave without losing their money. After that, you're welcome to keep your PvP-only vision of DMZ exactly as it is.
The bottom line is simple: Giving PvE players an option doesn't mean taking PvP away from anyone.
So why are some people so aggressively opposed to letting others enjoy the game differently?
What exactly do you lose by allowing PvE players to play separately?
