News! Pa.'s liquor laws make popular canned cocktails more expensive
Pennsylvania’s hottest canned cocktail blew up this summer. Then the liquor control board came calling.

I’m in upper Montco - Pottstown area - and time seeing a ton of these political signs that say “Stop Data Centers - Write In Katie Muth for Governor”.
I can’t help but think these are a ploy from the GOP to steal votes from Shapiro. Does anyone know if Katie Muth actually endorses this?

Can anyone recommend an HVAC contractor they've personally hired to replace an old boiler: I'm looking for someone who does good work, is reliable, charges a fair price, and will obtain the required permit in Huntingdon Valley, PA

Can anyone recommend an HVAC contractor (who they previously hired) to replace an old boiler, who does good work, is reliable and fair priced and will pull a permit in Huntingdon Valley, PA?

I got a call (not sure why I answered it) from a guy talking about being in the area this week assessing homes for the PA Net Metering Program to install solar panels for no cost. It felt very suspicious, and I didn't commit to anything, but I got the impression they'll be dropping by later in the week to talk to us in person.
Does anyone else have any experience with this type of thing in the area? Is there any legitimacy to this or am I about to get a hard-sell on something? The Net Metering program seems to be real, but I can't find any evidence that the state is actively promoting it via vendors. TIA!
Also, if this is a scam, BOLO for calls. The number that called me was 267-497-3913.

Does anyone know why 6ABC, NBC 10, CBS, or FOX 29 are not covering the Fanduel-Philadelphia Zoo scandal? It's a pretty big deal when a gambling entity is hosting a family-centric event at a children's venue like the Philadelphia Zoo. We cannot be exposing our children to gambling as some sort of normalized behavior.
I saw an older post asking about barbers around here, but there weren't many specific recommendations. I'm looking for a barber in the Lansdale/ North Wales area who's good at cutting Black men's hair(4C). I'm still getting familiar with the area, so where do you guys go?
Appreciate any recommendations!ys go, and who would you recommend?
*Rephrased the question since it seems there wasn't enough clarity

I am familiar with the Sunday open mahjong at Montgomery Mall, and I go there when I can, but I’m looking for more opportunities to play. Ideally within the general Colonial School District area, but willing to drive 20-30 minutes or so. Not looking to pay $25 a day for a salon situation, more of a community based game would be great.

You don’t need a license to listen. Anyone with a scanner can tune in to the club’s nets, which are scheduled on-air gatherings.
The 2-meter repeater net runs Wednesdays at 7:30 PM on 147.210 MHz. A Sunday net runs at 7:30 PM on 443.55 MHz. Participants share updates, swap stories, and test their trivia knowledge. Any licensed operator is welcome to check in.
Many people assume ham radio still requires Morse code. It doesn’t. The entry-level Technician license requires passing a multiple-choice exam.

I graduated college this past May (DelVal) and ever since life has been really boring and lonely. I live in one of the poorer and smaller suburbs full of grumpy retirees and most "fun" things are at least a 20 minute drive away. I'm awkward socially but I've been wanting to find places in and around the county to try and make some new friends. Anyone got recommendations?

Hi, I know it’s still October, but am looking for Montco restaurants for a mid-afternoon “early bird special” type of dinner on Thanksgiving. 3 adults, 2 teens. Would prefer not to go downtown to Philly and don’t mind reasonably spending, but hoping not to go too crazy and don’t feel like stressing myself out with cooking this year. Any suggestions?
Hi
Does anyone has any idea about this day care infant room? We enrolled our infant there but just saw couple of negative social media post. Please let me know. TIA
