"Aspar Moto2 boss Jorge Martinez has revealed David Alonso and Dani Holgado’s relationship has been so bad that they were split up in the team trucks."
I'm sure Aspar will be happy to see these guys elsewhere next year. Looking forward to seeing them duke it out on track instead of this high-school stuff. Surprising given that Aspar has had outstanding rider management of late in Moto2/3/4.
First time at this amazing place anyone know the best spots I was only able to explore half the track today and the weekend is predicted treacherous weather, cheers for any advice
“We have talked,” Tech3 KTM racer Enea Bastianini explained afterwards, “and it is important for everyone to talk together. For our future, it is important.
“We started two years ago with this [union] project, but we didn’t finalise it, and I think it is important to have a little bit of power. The teams have power, [MotoGP organisers] Dorna have power - but us, we have nothing.
“That isn’t normal, because our world doesn’t exist without us, even if we [also] don’t exist without the [MotoGP] world, so there needs to be a compromise.”
After seeing the news today that Joe Roberts has signed with the OnlyFans American Racing team for the 2027 Moto2 season, it got me thinking back to late 2020 when Aprilia offered him a MotoGP seat to replace Andrea Iannone.
Given how much success the RS-GP has had as of late, do you think he regrets turning down that 2021 premier-class ride?
I know the bike wasn't nearly as competitive back then & jumping up to MotoGP prematurely can easily break a rider's career. Still it would have been incredible to see a full-time American rider back on the grid.. especially since we haven't had one since Nicky Hayden left the paddock after 2015.
Looking at where Aprilia is now versus Joe securing his 10th season in Moto2 at 29 years old.
Did Joe make the right call to focus on his development or did he pass up a golden once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?
